Despair at Dawn (Kadie&Liam)

"Nah, I like your way much better. It's much funnier to think about a guy as a donkey," she said grinning.

"But, you'll get it. There are a lot of weird confusing words that are in English," she added. She shook her head still thinking about the whole donkey thing. Now that was funny. She supposed that she just couldn't help herself. She wasn't really the Snow Queen anymore, but she still thought about some of the guys who deserved it, in well, a not so flattering way.

[Liam McAdam]

Liam laughed, thinking about how funny it would be to see someone being turned into a donkey. "Well, I guess you're right. It is funny now that I think about it." he stated, unable to stop until he felt something slip on his arm. He quickly grabbed the arm band and re-positioned it back over his elbow.

[Gabby Brocklehurst]

Gabby sat contemplating what they were saying. Maybe Kadie was right, and she needed to not let herself get so depressed. If she didn't commit to guys she could still have fun. Then a thought occured to her, she turned to them both and said very seriously, "If you can point me in the right direction of his ass, I will actually make him into ass. He's almost perfect but a tail would just complete him." She managed to remain serious for a few more moments before she burst out laughing. "Pathetic I know" she managed to gasp in between gales of laughter. Gabby noticed Liam's quick movement and looked at him quizically, something didn't seem quite right.

Kadie laughed with them and smiled at Liam as he stopped laughing, noticing his movement. She looked back out at the lake though, trying to get him to be more at ease.

"So, how long do you think Ryan and the other girl will last then? He's always seemed like quite the player to me. I'm betting within a few months, he'll be cheating on her," she said with a quirk of her eyebrows.

"See, this was why I hated men when I was the Snow Queen. Most of them are pigs," she commented as she picked up some grass idly and started shifting it through her fingers.

Liam laughed at Gabby's comment. "He would look good, being an ass of an ass." he said. He then heard Kadie's comment about Ryan probably cheating on the other girl. "Maybe you're right...that son of a drow will probably have a lonely, miserable life in the end." he said.

[Gabby Brocklehurst]

Gabby giggled at his words, but shook her head sadly. "I don't know something weird happened between them, they were together before Vannah was um, met by Emilian" she said trying to put it delicately. Turning to Liam, "Drow?" she asked, interested.

Liam didn't get what Gabby meant, but did not persue it. He heard her ask about what a drow was. "It is a term that elves use for a dark elf. Kind of like how there are dark wizards. I guess I forged an insult out of it." he said, not wishing to tell Gabby he was elven.

[Gabby Brocklehurst]

Gabby nodded, "Oh cool I get it." she said, flashing a smile at Liam. "You know I've always been interested in learning about other cultures" she said randomly, not really sure why. "I've always been fascinated by them" she continued, pulling up a couplt of stems of grass to play with.

Liam blushed at her comments and looked away, feeling the warmth on his face. Why was it so easy for him to blush? "Really? I couldn't tell." he said honestly, too nervous to look at either of them.

[Kadie Taylor]

Kadie couldn't help but smile and nudge Liam a little.

"Uh-huh," she said softly with a slightly teasing grin. Okay, so maybe she just couldn't help herself with him. She was just totally herself around Liam. She noticed that he could hardly look at them, and forced herself to stop teasing him, looking for something she could say to change the subject.

"So, anyway, now that we've come up with very successful insults about Ryan, do you feel a little better?" she asked Gabby.

Thinking for a moment before replying, Gabby then nodded. "I think so. It's going to hurt for a while. But I can see the light at the end of the tunnel" she said, smiling sadly. "You guys have been so good, I'm sorry I got so pissed off" she said, feeling ashamed of the lack of control she had.

Liam looked back to Gabby as she was speaking. "It's alright Gabby. If you ever need us, just let us know." he saidm putting a hand on her shoulder to comfort her.
