Vannah slipped down to the Hospital Wing. It was pretty late. She assumed Gabby had already left from the owl Ryan had sent her asking her to come back. She had spent quite a few minutes debating whether or not to answer it.
The door creaked as Vannah opened it. Ryan was turned away from the door and Vannah couldn't tell if he was awake or not. She silently moved over to his bed and slipped into it behind him. Vannah wrapped her arms around him and kissed the back of his neck.

Ryan was half asleep when he heard the door open. He knew who it was and when vannah got into the bed with him he smiled "Thanks for coming back." he said softly.

Vannah smiled back at him. She propped herself up on her elbows and looked down at him. "Of course." She said before swooping down and kissing him. "Are you feeling any better?" She asked. There were some things she wouldn't bring up. She'd leave that to him.

"Good." Vannah said. Her let her finger trail over his jawline softly. She couldn't help but smile. Before coming down to the Hospital Wing, she had a plan. She knew exactly what she was going to say. No doubt she was pissed. But then she saw him. And he smiled. And then all of the anger and sadness from earlier today seemed to find a way to disappear.

Ryan looked at her "I am sorry for earlier Vannah. She kissed me and there wasn't much I could do, and then I didn't want her to go off yelling again."

Vannah nodded, her face was hard. "So you talked it out." She said. "That's it? It's over? We're back where we started?" A lump caught in her throat. That's not they way she hoped it would end.

Vannah was surprised by his tone. She was too shocked to speak for a moment. She brought her hand away from his face. "Okay..." She said. She didn't know what else to say. She had questions she wanted answers for, but she knew he'd never be able to give them to her.

Vannah bit her lip. She knew the questions wouldn't help calm either one of them down, but she gave it a try. "You won't leave her, will you?" The question had come out different than she had expected it to. She refused to cry. If she did, she knew she'd loose all control.

"Oh, no?" Vannah said her anger beginning to burn a whole inside of her. "You keep saying that, Ryan. It's never the right time for it, is it? When will it be? Three years from now? When you finally do get married? If you do get married? You can't wait forever." She said her eyes piercing as she looked down at him.

Vannah nodded. She took his silence as a cue. "I guess that's my answer. I should go." She said getting up from the bed. "I hope she makes you happy." She said bitterly.
