Eloise let out a small sigh and looked up turning to face him, "Drop it." She spat knowing what he was getting out, "Don't pry into anything that isn't your business." She said coldly and continued to walk running a hand through her hair pushing it back off her face allowing it to fall over her shoulder. Eloise knew that she would soon feel bad about what she had said, she was just like that... sometimes caring a little too much.

"You're right, it's not my business," Chase said, his brows creasing in a hard frown. "I don't have to try to get you to have some fun, I don't have to try to help you, and I don't have to follow you when it's obvious you'd rather drown in self-pity." He stopped walking, letting Eloise go on ahead of him. He had better things to do than force a girl to open up when she didn't want to. He'd thought he could get her to loosen up, but apparently she was uptight to the core.

Eloise continued to walk trying to ignore the whole load of emtions building up, she could feel a lump in her throat quickly swelling to send tears to her eyes. Eloise stopped walking and closed her eyes breathing deeply before turning around walking toward Chase slowly. She looked up at him before whispering "I'm sorry." And at that point she let go, she let the tears roll down her cheeks. It was a sudden thing and she didn't exactly know why she was crying, everything had built up through the years and she had only let some things go. Life was never fair and Eloise just had to live with it, like everybody else.

Chase froze, Eloise's sudden tears cutting straight through anger to intense discomfort. He hardly knew her, not that knowing her would make this a hell of a lot easier. But at least he'd know that he'd be accepted if he tried to comfort her. As it was, Chase was lost. "Shh, don't cry," he said, raising one hand to sweep a tear from Eloise's cheek. Was it what he'd said? He didn't think he'd been that harsh.

Eloise shook her head, "I'm sorry, I'm being silly." She muttered moving her hand swiftly to wipe her tears away, Eloise hated showing weakness although lately she hadn't seemed able to control herself. "You shouldn't have seen that, but I am sorry about what I said." She murmured giving him a weak smile. "I don't get why Emilian hates you so much... but then again, who does get Emilian?" She said waiting for him to start walking again.

Chase returned Eloise's smile hesitantly, no idea what was behind Eloise's mood swings. "He hates me so much because I see through his bullsh~. When everyone else wanted to ignore him and pretend he wasn't up to anything, I was trying to..." destroy him? murder him? "keep him from hurting anyone else," Chase finished. He turned, gesturing for Eloise to walk with him again. "Maybe it wasn't my business, but I made it my business, and it worked out better for the effort."

Eloise listened and began to slowly walk by Chase's side. "He's not that bad... he has his moments I guess." She mumbled running her hand through her hair as they walked. "Where are you heading?" She asked biting her lips looking up from the floor to look at him. Her eyes traced the handsome features of his face, she could tell why so many girls wanted to get with him.

Chase's jaw tensed at Eloise's assurance that Emilian wasn't that bad. He bit back a caustic reply and set himself to her question. "I was just going back up to the school. I haven't really been to Hogsmeade and, I don't know," Chase said with a shrug. He looked skeptically at the rows of buildings. "Is there really anything to do here?"

Eloise looked at him and then turned to look down the street, "Well, I heard that there's a pretty good nightclub here, but now isn't the right time..." She mumbled as she looked across at the shops, "I don't know to be honest... shall we just keep to walking for now?" She asked cocking her head to the side slightly, her hair falling into her face.

Chase repressed a firm grimace at even the mention of the nightclub. Of all the places in Hogsmeade, that was one he'd been to, and he wasn't ready to go back. Especially with a girl at his side, even if there was nothing between them. "Let's just walk," he agreed. "If you see someplace you want to go in, tell me, we'll go in." There were a lot of shops lining the street, but Chase wasn't interested in window-shopping.

Eloise could tell that Chase wasn't fond of her much and Eloise obviously couldn't change a persons feelings toward her, she couldn't change much really. She let a small sigh escape her lips before pushing her hair back off her face, she didn't like it much dark it made her look ever so pale but contrasted well with her eyes. Eloise continued to walk silently by his side biting her bottom lip out of habit.

Chase let the quiet stretch for a few minutes, his mind having worked from the club to the owner of the club, then back around to the girl walking at his side. He looked aside at her, silently cursing the habit she had of walking with her hair in her face. He wanted to see the girl's face, dammit. He was sure there was something going on in her mind that would be visible in her expression, but he couldn't see her expression. For all that he'd decided she had self-esteem issues, he'd had little opportunity to form an opinion about her. Was she thinking about Emilian again? Was she so quiet because she'd put together that mention of the club with him and Dru? "Knut for your thoughts," Chase said, curiosity overtaking him.

Eloise pulled a hair band off her wrist, she was usually always wearing one for occasions where her hair got a little too much for her, she pulled her hair up from her face holding it up in a messy bun before tying the hair band around it. Eloise looked at Chase raising an eyebrow, "What gave you the impression that I was thinking about anything?" She asked not even bothering to stop to talk about things, she wasn't going to share her thoughts with anybody especially not with a guy.

It was no stretch to catch the annoyance in Eloise's voice, but Chase ignored it; this was a way into conversation, at least. Chase didn't know Eloise well enough to be comfortable with silence. He looked over her face, not bothering to wonder at the sudden luck that she'd put her hair back. "I figured you were thinking about something because you don't seem like the airhead type," he said. He arched a teasing brow back at her. "Unless you want to prove me wrong." His lips curved into the faintest smirk. It was infinitely easier to be playful when he could see the coral bow of her lips and dark-lined blue eyes.

Eloise let out a laugh, "Well, it's nice to know that I don't seem like an airhead to you. If you must know..." Eloise stopped and stood in front of him giving him a flirtatious smile, "I was thinking of..." Eloise could easily take advantage of the situation, her mood had suddenly changed after all, "I was thinking of what it would be like to kiss you." She said quickly smirking at him, well she wasn't really telling the truth... but then again how was he to know?
