I haven't read his wall of shame for ages. At least Emerson has something to be recognised for, a decent website and not a pitiful story.

I think it's been updated, there are a few I don't recognize... or that could just be a lag in my memory... I just realized he did in fact write a good book with others, "What will happen in Book 7" it was really good, some were off, but altogether it worked in terms of quenching my thirst for the final installment... however Tara blows the whole story out of proportion... I never knew Dumbledore swore like that...

Entertaining like a train wreck? Or like several tons of sarcasm dumped liberally on a thick sheet of irony edged in malice?

I'm going to post here partly to bump it to the top for our newer members to share in the horror. And partly because I just read through this whole hellish thread and just the memory of it all was enough to make my brain go numb. I fixed a half-dead computer today, and now I wonder if I'd be able to work a tape dispenser. *shudder* ... And I'm considering trying to read it. Maybe after I'll take advantage of the neurosurgery offer at the top of the page... Edit: encyclopediadramatica.com/My_ImmortalHer last update to the story came on July 5th, 2007. The story ended on a bit of a cliffhanger, but it never made any sense anyway so it doesn't really matter.
Tara then reportedly left to go vacation in England, and never released any further updates to the story. Then sometime in late 2008, fanfiction.net had the audacity to delete the story, partially because they were having an improvement drive to keep their standards up, but mostly because they're preps and haters. It's here now: myimmortalrehost.webs.com/index.htmAnd I've already spent too much time on it. *wanders off in a daze*

You read so much more of it than I ever did. And I'd challenged myself to read the entire thing no matter what. *shudder*

While I didn't expect it to be THAT bad, I read it and did my English essay right after and honestly I think I failed. I think my teacher will be shocked, my essay's are usually well written, but this time I failed my analysis of e.e. cummings.
What's ironic is that cummings actually wrote in improper grammar, but his diction was used to put emphasis on certain words and was done in a way to give not only the meaning behind the words, but the writing itself some sort of meaning.
After this, I think I have found a fan-fic worse than Twilight (because in my mind Stephanie Meyer is nothing more than a fanfiction writer who sells)
I honestly don't care much about what she writes about or how, but I hate it how she made a lot of the characters that I have grown to love into complete and total a-holes (excuse my language, I can't seem to find the proper terminology at the moment). While I understand that fanfiction is where people can let loose and have fun while making ridiculous AU's and what not, I still feel like people stick to the basic idea of the characters.
I have watched some people go from crap to amazing writers because of criticism and one girl who I had become a good friend of even told me that her grades in English is improving because people have helped her understand her mistakes. Her teacher has actually made the whole class make an account and write stories. Now, if this girl is going to ignore the reviews, then she should disable them!
I have nothing more to say about this BS. Is it even possible to write this crap? I honestly can't figure out if this is a joke or a prank. I honestly believed she did this to get famous, or rather infamous.
(I understand I have many grammatical errors, but with my brain in a mush it's expected)

I can't believe you resuscitated this thread. I actually found someone on another site who'd tried to read it, but gave up before her brain exploded. How in hell did you manage?
