Adara smiled again, her eyes softening. "Does it snow in Dallas?" she asked. "I have always loved winter at Schneewittchen. When everything is soft and white, and silent." She remembered herself then, and her lashes dropped over her eyes a moment. "I am sure that everyone feels that way about home."

[Ryan Magby]

Ryan nodded "Most people feel that way. It doesnt technically snow, it kinda ices.... Its still fun though." he said with a smile.

Adara looked back up at Ryan from beneath her lashes, her lips curving. "What do you do in the ice?" she asked. She could understand snow; pushing mounds of it aside as you walked, scooping handfuls and tossing them into the air, watching them fall around her.

Ryan smiled "Same things you would do in the snow, its just colder with ice."

[Adara Snow]

Adara let out a bell-like laugh, her eyes lighting up. "Can you build a little man of ice?" she asked, trying to imagine such a thing.

Ryan laughed a little "No because there isnt that much ice, just enough to cover the ground."

Adara's eyes sparkled. "Can you skate on the ice?" she asked. There was another thing that she had never been allowed to do, though the thought of it, of standing above the water, was enchanting.

Ryan smiled "You probably could on the street, Im not good at skating so i never tried."

[Adara Snow]

Adara laughed again, amused and delighted by the conversation. "Then what can you do with the ice?" she asked. Her eyes gleamed at thinking about it, at wondering.

Ryan smiled "Snowball fights, snow angels, sledding.... all the normal things..... usually me and my friends either have snowball fights or we play another muggle sport called football."

[Adara Snow]

"It sounds wonderful!" Though she loved her home, there were such fascinating things in the world. She wished, somehow, that she'd been able to come earlier. "You play many sports," Adara observed. "Which is your favorite?"

[Ryan Magby]

Ryan smiled "Baseball. I started trying to play baseball when i was 2 years old. It was my first dream to be a professional baseball player." he said.

"When you were two," Adara repeated. "I don't recall being two. Though I'm sure I was at one time," she added, her lips curving with humor, and perhaps a bit of pride at having come up with such cleverness.

Ryan laughed a little "I dont really remember it either, but we have pictures at home of me with a baseball bat in my hand trying to play."

"Do you have many pictures?" Adara asked. There were no pictures of her, other than the family portrait, but that was a painting, and she was sure that it was different.
