Adara perked slightly at that. "Baseball?" she repeated. "Is that the sport in the photograph you showed me?" She hadn't recognized it, but that didn't mean much. Sports were one subject she had been carefully cloistered away from.

"Oh," Adara said simply. "Do you play that too?" She really knew nothing about sports, other than what she'd read, and apparently she hadn't read as much on the subject as she thought she had.

"Wow," Adara said, genuine admiration in her voice. "I wish I could see you play some time." Her eyes brightened a bit as she realized that she would be able to see. "When is the next game?" she asked excitedly.

Ryan shrugged "I dont know, we havent had a game in a long time. Alot of people have left the school so teams are left short."

Adara's face fell at the news, and she let out a soft sigh. "That's too bad," she breathed. She had been looking forward to seeing a game, rather than reading the vague stories in books she'd been allowed.

Adara looked down at her hands again, lost for another topic of conversation. She had hoped that Quidditch might be a happier thought, considering where she'd found him, but it had turned back to sadness, and she couldn't help blaming herself, just a bit.

Adara looked up in some surprise. "Me? Oh, well my family is in Germany," she said. "Our home is called Schneewittchen, it has been around for centuries, it's quite beautiful." She tilted her head as she looked at Ryan. "Where are you from?" she asked, wondering why she hadn't thought to ask before.
