Gabby didn't really feel any sympathy for Vannah, in her opinion, her actions had caused it to happen and she still wasn't fit to be a mother. "She's still not fit to be a mother" Gabby said softly, "The other day she tried to curse me because I'm going out with her ex-boyfriend. But we got together a long time after they broke up" Gabby shrugged, not being able to explain how she felt about Vannah without being rather rude.

"Being a good person and being a good mother are different." Brenna pointed out. "Who knows? Maybe her son would've changed the way she is now." She said with a shrug. A brown owl suddenly flew into the window and Brenna jumped. "That was quick." She said standing up. She stepped out for a second so she could retrieve her message. Brenna came in and took her seat again. A rolled piece of paper was in between her hands. "I guess he has a lot of time on his hands now that the Quidditch season is over."

"Would you like another cup of coffee?" Gabby asked so she could poliely excuse herself so Brenna culd her message in private. Gabby stood up, setting the last things on the tray to carry them to the kitchen.

Brenna looked up. "Yes, thank you." She said with a polite smile. As soon as Gabby was gone, Brenna unrolled her letter. Her eyes widened as she read. "Oh no." She said groaning. She finished the letter after shaking her head a few times and sighing and folded it back up. Brenna stuck the letter into the pocket on her cloak. Brenna held her head in her hands.

Gabby went through to the kitchen and made a cup of coffee for Brenna and one of tea for herself. She waited a few more moments before going back through to the front. She set down the tray on the table and served Brenna her coffee before sitting down. "Nothing too terrible I hope," Gabby said with a friendly smile.

"It's awful." Brenna said through her hands. She lifted her hands up. "He said since the season is over he's going to come here to teach!!" Brenna groaned. "What is he thinking?"

Gabby looked up from where she had been stirring sugar into her tea. "Is his name Adrain?" Gabby asked quickly. She raised her sup to her lips, but remembering last time, set it down to cool.

Brenna tilted her head slightly. "Yes..." She said slowly. "How did you know that?" Brenna asked curiously. She didn't remember mentioning his name.

Gabby blushed a little, "I overheard some of the professors talking, saying that they had finally found a flying teacher and that his name was Adrian, it was just a guess" Gabby said shrugging. Sipping her tea now that it had had the chance to cool off.

"The bastard. He could've at least told me he already got the job." Brenna mumbled. She poured cream and sugar into her coffee and sitrred it. "I'm surprised he got the job. He's only two years older than me....nineteen."

Gabby nodded, "They seemed relieved though, the post's been empty for a while and we do need a flying instructor. I was thinking of trying out for quidditch as I fly so much" Gabby smiled, "At home I've even taught my mare Rain to gallop behind me when I'm flying in case I want to ride instead"

"Oh no!" Brenna said suddenly horrified. "I signed up for that class! Maybe I can get out of it..." She muttered. Brenna suddenly wondered why he would take the position. He enjoyed being lazy in his off-season usually. There must've been a different explanation...

"Oh dear" Gabby exclaimed, "That must be awkward for you." Gabby lightened the mood, "Do you fancy a piece of cake or anything?" She asked, fancying a slice of cheesecake herself. "It's baked fresh, my dad's a great cook and has taught me well" She said laughing.
