Chase shrugged lightly, unwilling to tell Michael exactly how well he knew Druscilla, and especially how well he wanted to know her. Michael didn't sound like he was over her, and Chase really didn't like being stalked by jealous ex-boyfriends. "She's fine, keeping busy, you know? The club's been busy." The club isn't the half of it, Chase thought, glancing away from Michael to hide the crimson gleam in his eyes.

Michael sensed Chase was hiding something, having lived in lies and deception most of his life, he had learned to see it, but he let it drop, it was really none of his business what exactly she was doing. "The club's always busy," he said, most of the time it was so packed you could barely walk in it. "She's always doing something." And it was the truth, she was always involved in something. Michael smiled as he thought about her.

Whether or not Michael believed him, he hadn't continued asking questions, and Chase was fine with pretending nothing was going on. "Mmhm," he said vaguely, thinking a change in conversation was in order. "Is anyplace else in Hogsmeade worth checking out?"

Michael thought for a minute, "Um....not really. It's actually rather boring, though the Shrieking Shack's always good." For a town there wasn't much to do, it was pretty dead nowadays, everyone had kind of disappeared.

"Damn," Chase said under his breath. Somehow, he'd been hoping that Hogsmeade was full of scandal and adventure and he'd just missed it. He'd be sure to find the Shrieking Shack though. If nothing else, it'd give him an idea what Michael's idea of a good time was, and he could decide whether to blow him off. Chase hadn't had a male friend in years, and wasn't quite sure if he wanted to start now. He watched a few stragglers run into the Great Hall just as the first quick eaters began to trickle out. "If it wasn't for the girls, this school wouldn't be worth it," he observed.

Michael rolled his eyes and looked over at Chase, "You're one of those guys that give the rest of us a bad name." He let a grin show through to show that he was kidding, thought i was partially the truth. But then again, Michael could probably be the same way, if he wanted to be, but he didn't see a reason to.

Chase shrugged, but his smirk said quite clearly that he didn't mind a bit. "Not if they like it, mate." He made sure to keep things at a level where no one ended up with regrets. He certainly had none.

Michael shrugged, "Whatever you say," he said. He knew that guys like that always got what they deserved. For a long time he hadn't even tried to do anything with a girl, and he had been perfectly fine with that.

Michael probably didn't even know he was missing out. Sure, he'd been with Dru, but Chase would bet a few Sickles that Michael hadn't gotten past what Muggles called first base, if he'd gotten that far. All the better for me, Chase thought with a smirk. He let the subject drop and turned to another one, since Michael didn't seem that into girls. "Is Quidditch a big thing around here?"

"Not since I've been here." Other than Dru and the attack, there wasn't much that had happened in the time Michael had come to the school. Maybe I should go and look for a girl, he thought. Get my mind off of Dru. His eyebrows creased with the thought. No matter how he looked at it, he couldn't imagine being with another girl. Maybe I should go for guys, he thought, grinning slightly.

Damn, Chase thought. Hogwarts sounded more and more boring the more he talked about it. He reminded himself about all the girls, and decided he could handle putting in his time. "So what does everyone do around here, if Quidditch isn't big?"

Michael thought for a second, "Well...I honestly have no idea. Just kind of hang out I guess," he said. "A lot of people go around in Hogsmeade, and the grounds...." The school really was boring, he hadn't noticed before.

Chase grimaced. It wasn't that he'd never been in or near a small town, but he didn't really like them. He was bored easily, and liked always having something to do. Hanging out didn't count. "Well, I'll leave you to it," he said. He wasn't much for conversation that didn't go anywhere, and it wouldn't go anywhere with a guy.
