Michael sighed and ran a hand through his hair. He had known with the very first book he had picked up that he wouldn't find what he was looking for. And yet some hope pushed him on, through page after page, looking for a way to get rid of it. Or at least to cover it up. He tugged on his sleeve and set his elbow on the table as he put another old book on the growing stack that hadn't helped him at all. He pulled another towards him and grudgingly opened the cover. Concealmente Charms of Olde

Storm was searching for something to get herself lost in, any book, one appealed to her as she reached up to get it. However even on her toes she couldn't reach it. She could use her wand, but she was trying to test herself an see how long she could go on without one. With an exasperated sigh she glared up at it as if thinking she could scare it into coming down.

Gabby walked into the library, a dusty and tatty book tucked under her arm. She looked down the rows until she found who she knew would be there. Gabby took a deep breath and walked up to Michael. Before he could say anything, she clapped the book down on the the table between them. "This is my grandmothers old spell book, it contains all her most useful charms and so forth. I don't know if one will be able to help, but my grandmother was pretty powerful. All I ask is that you look after it carefully, show it to no one else and give it back to me when you're done with it, it's the only thing I have left belonging to my grandmother." Gabby left the book and the table and turned to walk away, taking a few steps when she noticed Storm she groaned inwardly and tried to slip away.

She was about to reach the book, but a voice that she didn't like had disturbed her making her fall back a bit. She regained her balance and walked over to the two. She gave Michael a smile, but as she turned to look at Gabby it fell into a glare.
"Seriously I've heard of followers, but this is stalking." she said teasingly and rolled her eyes.
"I see you've met little dolly Michael." she said summoning the book she wanted with her wand not really caring about the rule she held up for herself. Grabbing the book she put her wand in her robes however she didn't remove her hand from the wand. After the stunt she pulled with Vannah, there was no way in hell was she going to allow that to happen to her.

"Not really little," Gabby replied with a smirk, she hadn't really noticed before but she was only just shorter than Storm by about an inch. Gabby then realised that Storm hadn't let go of her wand. She hled her hands up and said, "I won't try anything, what I did by the lake was stupid and I waon't do anything similar ever again, I learnt that the hard way." She avoided looking at Michael to whom she had done the same thing only yesterday.

"Sure sweetie, but your still a child to me." she said rolling her eyes, this girl was seriously annoying her, and she was in no mood to tolerate her.
"Alright you gave him the book, you can run along and play with your little toys, maybe even dress up a house elf." she said dryly, not sure why this girl irritated her, but it was probably because of what Ryan told her.

Gabby stood her ground, "Why do you hate me so much? Ok, so I did pull my wand on two older slytherins" she said, still avoiding eye contact with Michael, "but I have apologised and said over and over again that I won't do it again. what else have I done that is so terrible that you hate my guts?" Gabby really did want to know, she was so confused by it all. Then a thought drifted into her conciousness. "Is it because I'm with Ryan?" she asked quietly, "Because you're friends with Vannah aren't you?" Gabby thought she had finally gotten to the bottom of all the hatred.

She shrugged, she didn't care much about that, though she was protective of Vannah as she was one of her friends.
"A little, but I don't feel like being nice, I don't want anymore friends, I'm sick of this whole friendship thing, those I'm close with now are the only ones I will be close with, no more ties and no more betrayals, now satisfied?" she said a little coldly. She wasn't going to go into any more detail, it was none of her business, and she couldn't help even if she tried.

"I'm not asking for friendship, and never really was, I just hate arguing with people, however much I may seem to enjoy it." Gabby said this and truly meant it. She really regretted ever having made enemies that night by the lake. She turned to Michael, "I hope the book helps, and please, look after it, it was what I was given in my grandmother's will." She turned and walked away, tears in her eyes due to the memories of her grandmother and the strain she had caused, her pride had caused in school. She was tired and that made her scar ache, carefully she rubbed it, trying to ease the pain.

Michael had barely looked at the book Gabby set down in front of him, continuing to look in the Concealmente book and ignoring whatever their problem was. When he couldn't ignore it any longer and figured out what was going on, he creased his eyebrows, picked up Gabby's book, stood, and walked over to them. "Here, I don't want this," he said, handing the book to Gabby, "And Storm's perfectly in her own right to still be angry with you." He walked back to his table and sat down, his head in his hands.
He looked up at Storm, "She pulled her wand on me yesterday to 'prove she was just joking' with you and Vannah," he said, rolling his eyes. Of course, that motion was mixed with a grimace at the memory of how he had reacted.

Gabby took the book and hurried out. It seemed as if the whoile world had turned against her. Her scar was throbbing more than ever now and she had started to sweat from the pain of it. Gabby lovingly cradled the book. She had read through it last night and had found a spell that she thought would have worked, but if he didn't want to know, if they were all too proud. Gabby didn't even look back as she walked out.

Storm snorted, she would expect that from her, she eyed the book, not sure what is was for and she didn't care either.
"Maybe we should snap that stupid stick, its irritating." she said watching the girl, not really caring, whatever pain the girl was going through both her and Michael had experience that and ten time over.
"And besides she didn't seem to be joking at all." she said dryly. She then looked Michael over with a smile, she hadn't seen him in a while and was glad she was able to now.
"So forgetting about her how have you been?" she asked.

Michael smiled, "Worrying." He always worried, she knew that. It registered that she was who Chase had cheated on Dru with, but, oddly, it didn't bother him. Perhaps she was the one that would be able to get them apart, Dru could do so much better.....
"I've been worried that Emilian might come after Annabelle. He said he won't, but I don't know..." he trailed off and looked down at the book, flipping a few more pages. It looked like it'd be just as useless as the stack of concealment and removal books to his side.

She nodded in understanding and gave him a weak smile. She knew how protective he was of Dru and Anna. The though of Dru's name made her flinch again, but she brushed off the feeling.
"I don't think you need to worry anymore." she said the book in her hand feeling heavier as she placed it on the desk.
"Something about Emilian is... different, he's still the same pervert..." she trailed off with a smirk.
"... but he's changed, for the better, this Adara girl must really have an effect on him, I think I would like to meet her." she said quite at loss as to how one girl made a difference that big.

"I spoke to him about her a while ago, he sounded absolutely infatuated with her," he said with a smile. "Of course, he denied it vehemently." Michael went silent. It was hard to imagine Emilian with a girl like that. "I've talked to her, too. She knows how he is and everything." Then his eyes snapped up when he remembered, "I walked in on them together in the Room of Requirement." He assumed she'd know what kind of together he meant.
