Storms eyes grew wide, at first there was a shocked expression on her face, and then she laughed. She could only imagine how embarrassing it must have been, for both parties.
"Sorry... but you have to admit that is funny, disturbing, but amusing at the same time." she said scrunching her nose up. She turned her head and saw the librarian not far off trying to look for the source of laughter, however she gave up returning to her desk.
"So how is it between you two, after that." she said a hint of a smile playing on her lips.

Michael grinned, "Well, it's not the first time I've walked in on him. And I've not seen either of them since." He shut his book and pushed it away, tired of searching. "So how have you been? What's new, other than that Gabby girl?"

She shrugged her eyes fell to her book, she couldn’t respond with a cheery fine. Instead she stroked the book her lips pursed into a thin white line until she was able to respond.
“Just dealing with life… or the remnants of it” she said with an obvious deflection of the question, not sure what else she could say. She was on good terms with Emilian, a couple of words hateful exchanged with Dru, and of course the little mishap with Chase; she was far from being alright. Storm couldn’t look up for fear that she would see the accusation in his eyes, life had taken a turn for the worst.

Michael's eyebrows came together and he looked away from her. Even if he couldn't see it in her face, he could feel it coming from her. "Storm...you know me well enough to know I couldn't let Dru be oblivious." It was dangerous territory, but, though Storm played a rather large part in hurting Dru, he wouldn't hold it against her and didn't want to loose her as a friend. He licked his lips and looked back at her, "She would have found out sooner or later." His eyes begged her to see that he had just been looking out for Dru, as always, that it was nothing against Storm.

She looked up at him, she wasn't mad at him, and gave her a grateful smile.
"I know, and I think... that it was for the best, I don't need or want him." she lied her bad attempt at bravado.
"At least we all know that I'm prone to causing destruction." she joked darkly, her jaw tense.

"No, it's his fault. I don't know how well you know Dru, but she trusts very easily. I know it may sound horrible," Michael said, "But I honestly hope they don't make it." He figured that if he had known Chase outside of dating Dru, then he could have become friendly with him. But Michael thought Dru had made a mistake.

She shook her head, she felt like he was wrong, she wasn't sure why she wanted to defend him, even after what he did, but she couldn't just let Michael think that.
"Chase..." she flinched a bit at the name and started all over again.
"Dru may trust easily, but it's because she sees whats good in him, some can consider this to be naive, but theres nothing wrong with him, he made a mistake, I know we both have made plenty of those." she said her brows furrowed thinking back to all the wrongs she had done.

"I just..." he paused for a second and took a deep breath, releasing it in a sigh. "I guess I should keep my nose out of her business. But she'll want him to love her, and I don't know that he can do that." He looked away, chewing his lip. Dru deserved to be loved, it didn't seem fair to him that he had found love and that, as far as he knew, she hadn't. "I'm sorry, you don't want to talk about this."

She nodded her head in understanding, that is one of the main reasons she respected Michael and could never be mad no matter her did, he really cared for Dru, like an older brother looking out for his sister.
"It's alright, it's healthier." she said with a warm smile, she paused for a moment chewing on her lower lip.
"She's very fortunate to have you." she said this time looking directly up at him.

Michael gave a sad smile and shook his head, "You're the only one that thinks that," he said quietly. He folded his hands together on top of the table, looking down at his thumbs and thinking. "So," he said, trying to change the subject, "Have you met up with any more of these new students? They're pouring in like rain, it seems." Though he hadn't personally met with any of them, he had been seeing quite a few new faces.

She was happy about the subject changed and scrunched her nose nodding her head.
"Unfortunately yes." she said with dark humor. The one girl Gwen she met turned out to be the most annoying person she's met.
"This one girl, she's the type you would see skipping around singing about how perfect the world is." she said cringing in disgust, her experiences taught that the world was anything but great, let alone perfect.
"Both Gabby and Gwen seemed to get along, I thought I was dragged into the underworld." she said shuddering.

Michael wrinkled his nose, "I can deal with innocence. I can deal with someone being happy, but there's a difference between that and naive stupidity. So is she worse than Gabby?" If the two got along, then they could stay together, stay away from all of them. Gabby had a thing against Slytherins, but there was a reason most of those people were in Slytherin, they had demons that she couldn't imagine even with her so-called death eater brother.

"Exactly." she said glad he understood her point of view.
"Honestly I don't know whose worse, one annoys me, the other is to bubbly, I think it's a tie." she said thinking back to the day.
"So why did Gabby give you that book?" she asked, it was an odd gesture from her, especially seeing as he didn't want it.

"She's the Agony Aunt, asked me if there was anything she could help me with. I told her that unless that grandmother of hers had a spell to get rid of or hide my mark, then, no, she couldn't. Well, apparently she thought there was something in there." Michael looked over at the stack of books beside him and back down at the one in front of him. "But if none of these have anything, then I highly doubt some old witch knows how."

She nodded her head, she had known a lot about the mark being raised, and was positive that no one could remove it except for the one who cast it, but still she felt hopeful for him.
"Must be annoying to have it." she said remembering how she was once eager to get the same brand on her arm, how she looked up to the dark lord, maybe that was also a reason for her bitterness, the bitter taste in her mouth as she remembered she came close to being branded at 14.
