Gavin enjoyed that, and put his other arm around Andy's waist in response. He'd heard a guy or two in the past talking about slim girls and how they felt, and vaguely wondered if it was anything like this. Well, naturally aside from the obvious differences. What was it that people did in films? Just slightly, he parted his lips, but just the extra touch of contact made him forget whatever his next plan was.

Ooh, that was tempting, and for now, Andy forgot his inner turmoil. His lips loosened slightly to brush Gavin's, and the motion sent a shiver down his spine. He didn't want to pull back now and end this! But he didn't know how to kiss. But neither did Gavin, right? Unless Gavin was lying. But he seemed so sweet! F~ it. He tried to lean into Gavin while keeping his hips far enough away to breathe.

Gavin felt Andy's hot breath, the light contact of their mismatched chests, the way the guy's waist and hips shifted beneath his arms. It was his turn to try to keep breathing. How did anyone keep their body under control, especially enough to even progress at all? His parents shared less tame kisses than this and parted as though it was nothing. He supposed that was the power of experience.

Andy was living out a minor fantasy, wrapped in the arms of a dreamy, masculine guy in the dappled light of a lakeside forest. He wanted to hold onto his part of the swooning maiden or damsel in distress or whatever, and Gavin as the pure White Knight. He loved it, but at the same time, he didn't know what else to do. Pressing his hips forward and humping Gavin's leg would definitely ruin the whole thing, as would throwing his mouth open and trying to lick his tongue, which was pretty much what it looked like on tv. So he just held on and hoped that Gavin had whatever instincts were supposed to make this easy.

Gavin didn't have the instincts, at least not past vague wants and ideas and desires. Although, maybe that was enough. Tongue and teeth and body didn't have to get involved to deepen the kiss and capture Andy's lips between his. Sliding his hands against Andy's hips and back was fairly innocent still, and nearly as exhilarating as stepping into the boat or picking up his cricket bat.

That got a little whimper out of Andy, and he wanted to try, too. He mirrored the motions of Gavin's lips and, after screwing up his courage, let his hands move. One slid up into soft, sun-warmed hair and the other touched Gavin's neck lightly before curving over his shoulder. He let go only a moment to let his book bag fall, then dared to touch Gavin's arm. He wanted his wand as far away from him as possible right now.

Gavin could only groan at the feeling of fingers in his hair. He'd seen commercials for odd, spidery head massagers and laughed with his mates about it, but if it felt anything like this he suddenly understood why someone would pay 19 pound 99 for it. One hand shifted toward the center of Andy's back, then traced the barely-there indention of his spine.

Was it bad that just that sound Gavin made was enough to drive Andy crazy? His brows drew together and he finally couldn't control the motion of his hips. They wanted to press against Gavin, and he couldn't convince them otherwise. That hand at his back was one of the best things he'd ever felt in his life, and his lips parted further in a gasp. This had to be a dream, it just had to. Any second he'd wake up in bed and have to change his pajamas.

The sudden pressure against Gavin's hips sent off veritable explosions within him. It felt so good, and something he could barely control wanted to take over, but he'd been raised a particular way that included self control. The next time he groaned, it was in frustration at himself. "My god, I can't, I have to..." he managed as he broke the kiss, breathing heavily. He was sure he wouldn't be able to control himself much longer, and the last thing he wanted was to...well...do something he regretted, to put it in delicate terms.

Andy gave a little whimper of disappointment, which was quickly followed by shame. He shouldn't have done that. He shouldn't have, and now he'd probably ruined everything and Gavin thought he was a sl~ and a freak. He pulled out of Gavin's arms, apologizing as he bent to get his bag, trying to hide a physical reaction that his skinny jeans wouldn't. "I'm so sorry..." His pink cheeks had nothing to do with shyness as he retreated into the safety of self-hate.

"No! No, it's not you, I swear," Gavin stammered. He had his own physical problems, but hoped it wasn't very apparent. "I mean, I, that sound really, really lame, but I just...I need to think." He closed his eyes tightly as he tried to focus his thoughts enough to say something that made sense. When he finally spoke, the words were halting and awkward. "I've always been taught that, you know, I should respect girls, and not push or rush or whatever. So why should boys be any different? Or am I just really weird?"

Girls. Push or rush. Andy wanted to just slink off and wallow in misery a while, but he caught what Gavin said through the pounding of blood in his ears. "I don't know," Andy said, still hunched around his bag. "I don't know." He wouldn't look at Gavin, wouldn't cry, wouldn't run away, but he didn't know what to say! "I... I'll go away if you want... you can think..." He took a single step back the way they'd come, but didn't turn his back on Gavin just yet.

"I'm sorry!" Gavin said, a sense of what had to be despair washing over him. Or at least, to his 15 years of experience it certainly felt like despair. "It's...I just thought..." He thought he was being a good guy, not doing something that would make his newest friend and/or love interest flee. "I'm sorry," he repeated in a weak finish.

"I'm sorry too. Gavin." He bit his lip and turned around before he could do something stupid like cry, then took off in the general direction of the school. He wanted Tam, wanted to be away from this place. He was stupid, and he didn't belong here any more than he'd ever belonged anywhere else.
