"You can be a ladies' man, just run off and do whatever you want," Mari said. Then his eyes widened. "You could go to the club here and dance with everyone!" The tea was really good, but he was momentarily distracted by the thought of Castiel actually being able to go off and do what he wanted without worrying about a long distance girlfriend.

"You have to come with me, at least until Seiji rides in on his white horse," Castiel teased. "We could go on a Friday so there'll be plenty of guys, and I know there'll be more girls like Cheyenne..." Castiel stopped there and sighed, then looked down at his tea. "I mean, girls who think guys together are hot. There are tons of those, I'm sure."

Under the table, Mari nudged Castiel gently with his toe. "I'll help you get whatever girl you want," he said. "Even if she doesn't like guys together, I can like act really stupid or something so you look even more awesome." Castiel was his best friend ever and he wanted him to be happy. In the past he'd done whatever possible to help out and he intended to continue doing so.

"You're amazing, Kawaii-Kun," Castiel said. He leaned a bit further to steal just a little kiss, then sat back with his cup. "We should probably be thinking about what we want to ask the tea leaves," he said. "I'm going to ask mine if I'll find love and sex at Hogwarts. If the leaves say yes, it'll narrow down my search and if they say no, I'm going to send something really nice to Lani Berwyn."

Uncharacteristically, Mari blushed a little. "I'm asking about Seiji." He really wanted Seiji to come to Hogwarts and he was probably going to be thinking about that a lot until he got news one way or the other. "I dunno if I trust dregs, but I'll ask anyway." He thought Divination was pretty weird.

"I'll only believe it if yours says something good," Castiel declared. He wouldn't ask specifically what Mari wanted to know about Seiji, but he could make an educated guess. When there was only a small amount of tea left in his cup, he gave it three swirls, then put the saucer upside-down on top of it. "Do you want to do it at the same time, or do you want to go first?" Castiel asked, looking over at Mari.

Mari mimicked Castiel's motions and when his saucer was on top of the cup, he looked up at his friend. "Count of three?" he suggested, suddenly wondering just how much of this divination stuff he'd be able to remember. Doing it at the same time would be better, that way the focus wasn't entirely on one of them if they didn't want it to be.

"Count of three," Castiel agreed, and counted aloud for both of them. "One... two... three!" There was a light clattering as cups and saucers were turned, and Castiel hardly paused before lifting his cup to see what was beneath.
"Hm... That streak there kind of looks like a dagger..." He hoped not though, because daggers meant danger. "This blob is either a chicken or a sheep... I'm going with chicken because they mean wealth." He stared at a third blob for a moment before looking across at Mari's cup. "What did you get?"

Mari lifted his cup to peek beneath it. "That one looks like a diamond, that's a gift, but I've already got a gift, don't I? I think my leaves are late," he grinned before looking at the others. "Duck or something and a blob. Isn't there a bush?" he asked, looking up at Castiel. A duck would mean money and a bush a social invitation, assuming he actually remembered either of those things.

"It could be a bush," Castiel said, peering at the shape. "Go with bush, maybe Seiji will invite you over or something. It'll probably be something from Caspian though. I sent him a letter asking if we could visit this summer. It'd be so much cooler hanging out at a college than sitting around at home!" He looked at that third blob on his saucer again. "I bet that's a house," he decided at last. "That means success. Or change." His brows drew together slightly. "I like yours better, it doesn't have a dagger in it."

"Seriously," Mari said. He glanced at the notes and reached for another sweet, another made with some kind of fruit. "I dunno, though, it's Divination and Divination's kind of weird." It was a lot of guessing and vague stuff that could mean anything. He was pretty sure he didn't trust it as a form of magic.

"You're supposed to go with whatever you see first," Castiel said. "I mean, whatever you think you see. Yours are all good, so just go with it." He was worried about his dagger, though. What upcoming dangers could there possibly be? He frowned at his saucer a moment longer before giving a heavy sigh. "Maybe I shouldn't have dumped Cheyenne," he said. He didn't know how that could cause danger, but it was what he was thinking about.

"Forget her, even if she wanted to do something daggery she wouldn't be able to," Mari said, handing over the extra half of the sweet he'd chosen. It got a single mark on the paper. "Maybe you'll lose a book or something little, or get stuck in that one stupid stair." He refused to imagine that something actually bad might happen to Castiel.

Castiel liked those theories, so he made himself dismiss Cheyenne entirely. "That stair is pretty dangerous," he agreed. "Maybe I'll step in it on purpose to get it over with, and you can pull me back out." He almost wished he had more tea, but decided he'd rather not be tempted to see any more of his potential future just now. Maybe after he'd gotten stuck in the trick stair. "I don't know how they make bean paste taste so good," he mused.

"Maybe they used magic," Mari said. He poked around the soggy tea leaves. "I could ask about it. Maybe his mom's just a really good cook." His own mother had never made sweets, though the food she did make was great. "Maybe if he comes to Hogwarts she'll send him more sometimes." He couldn't beg to have some if it did happen, but he could hope Seiji would share.
