"No, I mean, I know what divine is. I just...I study divination. You know, telling the future and that kind of thing. It's my best subject in school," Jory said. "So like...would a divine one be just straight from God or something?" Did they deal with specific things? He had never had a vision, not a real one, though his readings had started to be eerily accurate over the past year.

Hyacinth did his best to explain before they were interrupted by a plump old woman pushing a cart filled with mostly unidentifiable snacks. He had enjoyed getting to share his religion with Jory, beginning to sort out magic as it pertained to Hogwarts and wizardry, and its differences from and similarities to theology. It helped him feel better about things, far more than he would have expected. In fact, he developed an interest in Divination that he hadn't had earlier that day.
"There are so many things to choose!" he exclaimed, not for the first time. "I do not have so many choices at home." Not to mention that iced mice sounded a little gross and he wasn't all sure that the Droobles Best would be anything like regular chewing gum.

"Give us a couple of everything," Jory said, fishing in his pocket for money. He was so glad he had a job now and didn't have to rely on birthday and Christmas money the whole year. "What do you want to try first?" he asked, shifting through the pile. "Chocolate frogs have cards in them you can collect, pretty much everyone has a few."

Hyacinth had thanked Jory before sliding his cat-topped hoodie aside and sitting again, eyeing the pile of colorful packages between them. "We will try chocolate frogs, then," he suggested. It was difficult to find such a thing at first, but soon enough he held a box in his hands. "It is not a real frog?" he asked. He was beginning to expect the unusual, but that didn't give him any hints as to specifics.

"No, it's not, but be careful, they tend to hop around a bit. It's just a charm, though," Jory said, picking out the other one and showing Hyacinth how to open the package. He had opened plenty of them in the past and was ready for its immediate attempt at hopping to freedom, cupping his hand over it before it could move.

Hyacinth watched with his mouth rounded, and after a moment, looked down at his own. It was a charm, which was a kind of magic. That word was short enough to be easy, and he remembered that it was one which meant making things move, or change slightly. He did his best, though he laughed as he nearly lost the frog between his fingers. When it stopped, he looked at it more closely. "Is chocolate now?" he asked, though there was no worry this time.

"Yeah, it's chocolate, really good chocolate, too. Once you bite it, though, the charm goes away. It doesn't, like, squirm or anything when you bite it," Jory said. That would be incredibly creepy, and he was sure that the creators had considered that when creating the candy.

Hyacinth nodded, and without another word, took a bite. "Mmm, is very good," he agreed, then put the rest back in the box. There were far too many things here for him to even consider eating all of it. He indulged in the little pleasure of licking some chocolate off his thumb and forefinger, then set the box aside and reached for another. "Bertie Bott's Every Flavor Beans," he read. "Is, ah... jelly beans?" he asked, looking back up at Jory.

"Yeah, but be careful because it really is every flavor. I know someone that got a vomit flavored one," Jory said, wrinkling his nose. "I kind of stay away from them unless I know exactly what flavor I'm grabbing." That was a rare occurrence. It was much safer to just not give it a shot.

Hyacinth, who had just opened the box, stopped short and looked back up at Jory. "Vomit?" he asked in disgust. He picked out a cheery red one and sniffed it, as though he might be able to tell. "You eat one, I eat one?" he asked, tilting the box toward Jory. He gave a little smile. There was a box here, so they might as well enjoy it.

Jory eyed Hyacinth, nose still wrinkled, before he grabbed the box and shook it to get a look at the colors. He went for a blue one. "Fine. On three. One...two..." And he was pleased to see that blue had, yet again, not failed him. It tasted like what he imagined flowers to taste like. He grinned, glad to see he had gotten away with it.

Hyacinth grimaced at his own. "This is not..." It wasn't cherry, or any kind of fruit, like he'd expected. "It is bacon, I think!" He made a face and a few noises of disgust. "That is very very bad." And apparently Jory had gotten a good flavor. Hyacinth closed the box, his nose still wrinkled, and set it aside. He wouldn't make that mistake again.

"I warned you! Mine tasted like flowers, though," Jory said, laughing. "Give this a try." He opened a bag and offered it to Hyacinth. "Fizzing Whizzbees. They'll make you float just a couple of inches for a minute." They lasted longer than the other things they had tried, but it would be enough to get the flavor out of Hyacinth's mouth.

Hyacinth had chuckled with Jory, but at the offer of a Fizzing Whizzbee, sat in a state of confused desperation for a few long moments. Finally he shook his head and reached for the remains of his chocolate frog instead. He looked down at his hands. Floating, even a little, even for a minute, was still floating. He thought it might just be better to stick to things that were safe for a while.

Jory shrugged and popped one in his mouth. "And not all of this is candy," he said, tucking the candy in his cheek. "Pumpkin pasties and stuff, you'll see that on the tables at school. Apparently the elves at Hogwarts really like making pumpkin stuff, because there's always a ton of it at meals."
