Ryan walked by the wall to activate the Room of Requirement. This is the place that he loved to come. He could be anywhere he wanted to be in here. The door appeared and he slowly opened it to a different sight that he usually would use the room for. He walked into the room, which had turned into a small theater. Ryan had always loved acting, and when he was in muggle school he had been in a few plays. He walked up to the stage and got on it, looking out at the few seats in front of the stage. He smiled softly and took a deep breath, and then started a monologue.
"To be, or not to be--that is the question: Whether 'tis nobler in the mind to suffer The slings and arrows of outrageous fortune Or to take arms against a sea of troubles And by opposing end them. To die, to sleep-- No more--and by a sleep to say we end The heartache, and the thousand natural shocks That flesh is heir to. 'Tis a consummation Devoutly to be wished. To die, to sleep-- To sleep--perchance to dream: ay, there's the rub, For in that sleep of death what dreams may come When we have shuffled off this mortal coil, Must give us pause. There's the respect That makes calamity of so long life."
He finished and closed his eyes, thinking about being back on stage in front of a crowd. Where he felt most at home. Most at peace.

Ly had found the Room of Requirement with her brother already, and had found people in various states of stress and undress during her random peeks in between classes. However, she had yet to walk into a theater with some boy next door dim looking fellow reciting some play. She snorted. "So you come to magic school to recite some muggle's play?"

Ryan looked out at the person at the door, realizing he forgot to close the door "No, but every once in a while I like to get back on the stage. This is what I was good at in the muggle world before coming here." He sat on the lip of the stage and looked at the girl "Slytherin right?" he asked, as he had got pretty good at figuring out what house people belonged to.

"Unfortunately," Ly said, leaning against the closed door. Had the scarf given her away? "Hufflepuff?" It wasn't hard to figure out what house a person was in, they all had specific traits that gave it away without a second look. She had quickly learned to dislike both Hufflepuffs and Gryffindors, as well as her house mates. Ravenclaws tended to keep to themselves.

Ryan nodded "Yes, Hufflepuff. So what brings you in here today? Not many people would peek into an open room like you just did." He said smiling softly. For some reason he had always gotten along pretty well with Slytherins. He watched the girl as he talked, she was pretty, and had this glow about her that made it hard to look away from her.

Ly shrugged and crossed her arms, pulling the leather jacket tight around her elbows and shoulders. "It was open," she said. What other reason did she need for looking in an open door? "Should I have ignored it?" She still wasn't used to this whole socializing with people without her brother there thing, and wasn't entirely sure if she liked it.

Ryan nodded "Very good point. So what is your name?" he asked as he got back up and jumped off the stage. He took in the whole room for the first time, it being a replica of the theater at his school in the muggle world.

"Ali," Ly said. She hadn't given that one to someone yet, had she? She remembered Lida and Desi, various others, but Ali was new. Well, what did it matter if it was new or not? Even if she gave certain people the same name they wouldn't be able to figure out who they were talking about if they mentioned the name to someone else.

((a heads up, i am posting this from my phone at work, and it might screw up and post a whole bunch of times, if that happens i will go through and delete the extras))
Ryan smiled and looked back at Ali, "Very nice name. My name is Ryan. Nice to meet you" He walked over to her as he talked and extended his hand out to shake hers. He wasn't usually this proper, but he was trying it out for a change.

Ly stared at the hand for a few moments before looking up at Ryan, her eyebrows rising. "Right. You look too old to be here," she said. She wasn't great at guessing ages, but people here tended to be young and he looked like he should have graduated years ago. Maybe that was just her being jaded and cynical.

Ryan nodded, "I have had a couple of times where I had to leave the school for a year or so. It has pushed me back some. Hopefully I don't have any issues this time and I can finish up next year." He took his hand back while he talked, not really surprised that she didn't shake it. "How about you? What year are you?"

"Sixth," Ly said. Why was this guy asking so many questions? She narrowed her eyes slightly. "Why the hell wouldn't you finish as soon as possible to get out of this place?" she asked. It seemed odd that someone would want to stay for as long as he apparently had. Although, she supposed most people weren't as close to their siblings as she was.

Ryan looked at her, "What makes you think that I am not doing that? Things happened that I had to take care of back at home that at the time were more important. Also there are things that happened in my first few years here that I needed to get away from for a while." he finished somewhat softly. He remember the disappearance of Rebecca, and all of the accusations made of him because he was the last to be seen with her.

Ly was unimpressed. "So why not just change schools, then?" Unless he, like her and her brother, was being forced to attend this school, what was stopping him from just going to school closer to home? Which, by the sounds of it, was somewhere in that arse-backwards country across the pond.

Ryan looked at her "This is where I wanted to be for school. A lot better than the few schools we have over in America, and this is where my parents wanted me to come as well." His knee started to give out a little, and trying not to make a big scene of it, he sat down in one of the seats. He looked around the room and thought for a moment, and the room changed. No longer was there a stage, but it was now just a room, with a fire going in the fireplace. He was no longer sitting on a theater seat, but a reclining chair, right next to a couch.
