Celyn had finally made a decision, she was going to get inked. She had already told her parents and while her mother was okay with it, her father was a bit iffed. After a long talk, she managed to convince him that she was old and mature enough to get one done.
The last time she had been in Diagon Alley was quite some time ago. It was getting quite chilly outside, her cloak was wrapped tightly around her tiny frame. Pushing the door open to the leaky cauldron, Celyn scanned the room. Animated chatter filled the room, there weren't too many people present but a healthy amount and the atomsphere was just that much more inviting.
Celyn walked over to the bartender, her cloak still fastened around her neck. "Excuse me, but is Maverick Callahan present." Celyn had never seen the man so she had no idea who she was looking for.

Maverick couldn't help the grin that came over his lips at the new face. He was so glad he had moved here. He was so much more accessible to the barely-legals over at Hogwarts. "Yes he is," he said, leaning sideways against the counter. "And what's a pretty thing like you want from him?" He loved his job, so much. And she was gorgeous. The girls around here were so different from the ones back home, back home they were all blondes...or "blondes", as the case may be.

Celyn hadn't really paid attention to the bartender at first, but now focusing on him, he was gorgeous. It was evident that he was much older than she was, but that didn't stop her from letting her eyes roam his facial features. "I would love to let you know, but whatever it is, its between me and him." Celyn had no idea that this was Maverick all she heard was that he owned the place, but the bartender was the only person around.
Celyn removed her cloak, her wine red v-neck t-shirt clung to her frame while her legs were sheathed in dark black jeans. Simple enough, but she wasn't here to get all dressed up, she was here for a tattoo.

Maverick grinned and settled on his elbow on the bar, bringing his hands together in front of him. "If it's that important I'll get him right now." He paused for a moment, looking around as though searching for someone before bringing his eyes back to the girl's, and even then he looked her over as if seeing her for the first time before speaking. She was smoking. "I heard there was a pretty thing looking for me, what do you need?" So it was lame. He never claimed to have the best lines.

Celyn's eyes shone, the corners of her lips curled up into a small smile. Looking him over once more, Celyn liked what she saw. "Word on the street is that you give good tats." Verity had told her Maverick was good, and Celyn would not doubt her friend. Celyn knew what she wanted and where she wanted it. She prayed this guy would accept.

"I give amazing...tats," Maverick said, biting a lip for a second and raising an eyebrow. "As long as you're of age, I'll give you anything you want." And oh he hoped she wanted a lot. "I normally don't give tats right now, but I think I'll make an exception for you." He would give her a tat any time of the day she wanted one.

Celyn just needed one, something she had been thinking of for quite a while. "I assure you, I am of age." she was exactly seventeen at this point which meant she could do whatever she wanted. Pulling out a piece of paper, she handed it over to him. The words 'Ars longa, vita brevis' was written in beautiful calligraphy vines surrounding the words. It was delicate, simple and yet the bold words stood out. "Think you're up for it?"

Maverick took the paper and examined it for a few moments, then nodded. "I'm up for anything," he said, his eyes glinting ever so slightly. He pushed himself up and gestured for her to follow him to the end of the bar. "Let's go in the back." There was a room where he had everything set up just like it had been in his old shop, books and pictures of his work were scattered around a small front area that was only separated from the tattooing section by a thin counter top.

Celyn grinned, and followed him, there was a feeling in her body of excitement, she was finally getting herself one. Watching Maverick from behind, she didn’t shy away from checking him out. He was older, much older, but that didn’t phase her in the bit. Instead, it excited her somewhat more. Celyn paused, looking at the pictures of all his works. Leaning over one picture, she was in awe… Verity wasn’t exaggerating.

Maverick continued on to the back of the room and sat at his drawing counter on his short rolling stool. He set his wand out to light up the glass and laid a piece of his transfer paper down to put the girl's art on it. "Where do you want this? And how big?" he asked as he searched for the quill he needed, along with the special ink. "You can sit over there," he added, gesturing over to a somewhat comfortable looking chair that could be converted into whatever shape he needed to do his work.

Celyn forced her gaze away from his artwork and instead watched him. She went over and sat down, relaxing herself. “About an inch larger would be perfect. I want it right here.” Celyn brought her hand up to her rib cage on the right, she wanted it there and she knew she wouldn’t regret it. Celyn watched Maverick, biting down on her lower lip, he was gorgeous to say the least… she would enjoy this session for sure.

Maverick looked over and his eyes hovered where the girl pointed before they slipped up to her face and then down to start transferring the art. "It hurts right there," he said. "Do you want it going up your ribs?" He wouldn't complain too much, the more he got to see and touch, the better. Granted, he would have gloves on, but that didn't mean he wouldn't feel anything. "What's your name, by the way?"

“Pain is just an obstacle.” She didn’t care about the pain, she wanted this so badly and no amount of pain was going to keep her from doing this. “Just across.” She got more comfortable on the chair, shutting her eyes slightly mentally preparing for the experience. His question made her eyes fluttered open at the question. “I’m Celyn.” Her voice was small, she was too busy thinking about what she was going to go through.

Maverick nodded and continued sketching. "Do you go to school still?" he asked. Since he wasn't to the putting-his-hands-all-over-her part, he had to make do with talking to her, not that that was entirely bad. He could butter her up a little if he put his mind to it, and maybe he'd get lucky by the end of the appointment.

Celyn played with her absentmindedly, waiting for him to finish. "Yeah, unfortunately. I should be a seventh year, but I skipped out of my exams." so she was once again stuck as a sixth year. "You obviously haven't been here for long, where were you before moving to Diagon Alley." she had been to all shops and she had never seen his face in any, that and this was the first time she heard of a tattoo artist here so he must be new.
