Jamie wandered around the castle for a little bit, exploring. It was the early afternoon and he was finished with classes for the day. Hogwarts seemed like it was forever growing and expanding. Every turn he took brought him to what seemed like a new corridor. You'd think after over five years, he'd be able to tell where he was. That wasn't the point, though. He was trying to get lost. It was way more exciting that way.
Jamie eventually wandered outside. He walked towards the Quidditch Pitch, and then came back. He walked towards the forest, but when he got to the edge, he decided not to go in in the broad daylight. He walked towards the lake, but it only made him think of that night with Jory, so he turned back. He found himself where he started and started to walk in the only direction he hadn't tried yet. Jamie found himself behind the Greenhouses. He was surprised to find that there weren't any classes in session at the time. He had forgotten all about the Greenhouses, having only been in them during his first year.
He leaned against one of the Greenhouses and stared out. It was peaceful outside, most people were probably still in class. Even though he was away from the lake, his mind was still on Jory. He hadn't seen him since that time in the classroom, and Jamie had been the one to screw things up. What was he afraid of? It was a question he asked himself many times, and it was also one he found that he was never really able to answer.

Celyn was almost positive she had a free period, and if she didn't then that was too bad, she was in no mood for studying. Her attitude was obvious just based on the way she looked. Her hair was pulled back in a ponytail, a few strands escaped messily framing her face.
Celyn's hand clutched her sketchbook, but she didn't feel like drawing today, carrying it around was like a physical manifestation of support for her, in a non-human based way. Celyn walked to the lawns, but there were a few students who seemed to have free and she didn't want to be around such a handful. Turning, she walked towards the greenhouse, she knew there was no class during this time; ironic how she knew what classes were going on and yet not her own classes.
The smell of soil was so relaxing, she stepped in quietly, knowing that some plants reacted horribly to startling sounds. It was so quiet in here, her footsteps were barely muffled by the soil that was scattered around the ground. Completely unaware that there was another she stopped to look at a plant and raised a brow. When it came to herbology, she wasn't the best, but what the hell was that? She allowed a finger to move carefully towards the plant and as it shuddered under her fingertip[, she retracted the finger, last thing she wanted was her finger torn off by a plant. Celyn still remained unaware of the other in the greenhouse.

Jamie’s head shot up as he barely heard someone else enter the greenhouse. He squinted, trying to make out who it was. He could’ve sworn that there weren’t any classes in there for the rest of the day. Jamie was about to grab his bag and slip out in case it was a professor, but stopped. His eyes came into focus and he could see a lot clearer. This girl wasn’t a professor. Or if she was, Hogwarts was hiring the right people. A smirk spread across his face. Her brown hair was pulled back, but he could see she was beautiful. Jamie set his bag down beside him softly, careful not to make any noise. He leaned against the side of the greenhouse gently, knowing that if he pressed against it too hard he could end up making it collapse.
He watched her play with the plant, amused, and when she retracted her finger, he finally decided to speak: “You’d better be careful.” He warned. His voice was soft but deep, he was hoping to avoid scaring the living daylights out of her. “I hear those things can be deadly.” He lied. The only thing he knew about these plants was that they were green…ish. Plants weren’t really his thing, and yet the Greenhouse seemed to have a calming effect on him.

Celyn was startled by the sound, but she refused to outwardly show this. Her head turned to the voice and she straightened up, noting the tag just below the potion. "Fascinating, I never knew that a flutterby bush was dangerous. Must be all the shaking and shuddering." Celyn didn't recognize the plant physically, it was the name that reminded her of the plant and she could faintly remember her father saying something about it; not that she was listening.
Celyn moved across the masses of plants, stopping to one she knew very well. It was somewhat caged up, to keep the first years out. "Aconite, now this poisonous plant can be pretty deadly." Celyn really didn't care about Herbology, her father wanted her to take it because he wanted his daughter to become a Healer, but she didn't care for any of that crap.

Jamie raised an eyebrow. It sounded like she knew her Herbology well enough. He got a good look at her robes. Ravenclaw. She definitely wasn't a professor. "You seem to know a lot about Herbology," Jamie observed. "Is that what brings you out here today?" He asked. It seemed like the more logical answer for someone standing in a greenhouse looking at the plants. Then again, Jamie was doing nearly the same thing and he had not interest in Herbology. As far as he was concerned, it wasn't anything he needed in order to survive. Her accent was off and Jamie tried to place it. He couldn't tell if it was because she wasn't from England or if it was just the way he had heard the words come out.

Celyn wanted to laugh, she wasn't really all that great in Herbology. "Maybe, or maybe I'm just really good at reading." [/b] she tapped the tag just below the plants, her lips raising up just a smidgen in the corner while one brow remained raise. His question made her tilt her head to the side. "I came out here because it's the only place close to being empty."[/b] she weighed her words, she could have said completely empty, but it was obviously not the case. "What about you? Studying some deadly plants, coming up with some evil plan to sneak devil snare into someones dorm?" she was obviously being sarcastic, but there was a twinge of humor. Celyn's eyes moved to his robes and the 'Slytherin' emblem made her words that much more ironic.[/blockquote]

Jamie glanced at the tiny cards beside each plant. He couldn't make out what each one said from there and he didn't notice them when he first came in. His lips curved upward at the corner of his mouth. So she was a smart-alec. At least she had a sense of humor. What about you? Studying some deadly plants, coming up with some evil plan to sneak devil snare into someones dorm? Jamie chuckled a little. "How did you guess?" He said with a mischievous grin. He wasn't one to pull pranks, but it wasn't a bad idea. He could certainly name a few people who's dorms he would like to engross in Devil Snare. "I came here because it was the only empty place around here," Jamie paused for a moment and took a breath. "But mostly because there's something calming about this place."

How did you guess? "I'm just that damn good." apparently her answer was considered the typical 'American cockiness' but it was the first response that came to mind and it was befitting.
Celyn wasn't a fan of pulling such pranks, especially because it had the potential to go bad. His response obviously was just to humor her.
Celyn wasn't facing the plant, but her body turned to his direction this time actually looking at him. He was much taller than she was and he was well built. Very attractive she would admit. Celyn didn't allow her eyes to roam, her image was built on a casual glance, she wouldn't give anyone the satisfaction of her 'checking them out'. "Sorry about that, do you mind if this empty place gets infested with just one?" even if he said no, which she somewhat doubted, she sure as hell was not going to leave the only decently calm place in Hogwarts. In an hour or so classes would end and she did not want to get mixed in that mess of students. "The air in here is refreshing." she mused out loud.

Jamie could tell by her accent that she wasn't from England. He couldn't decipher whether her accent was American or Canadian, but then again he was never good at pointing out details such as that. Either way, her response made him laugh a little. "I'd hardly call it infested." Jamie said, his own eyes too busy sweeping her over to realize if she was doing the same, or not. A house became infested when it had a surplus of unwelcome, harry, rodents. The greenhouse certainly wasn't infected by one, rather beautiful, girl. "There is something about this air," Jamie agreed, "that sets it apart from the craziness inside of the castle."

Celyn followed the movement of his eyes her hands folded behind her back. No answer, she had grown silent. One brow raised by just a fraction and she unconsciously took a step forward. "Yeah. It's like you can think whatever, say whatever, do whatever," there was a momentary pause. "Unlike the main castle." well the room of requirements was totally different, she didn't even consider that a part of the castle.

Jamie grinned. It was ironic how free a person could feel when they were cooped up in a relatively small place like the Greenhouse. "The main castle is rather...restricting." Jamie agreed. If there weren't teachers at every corner, there were characters in paintings and ghosts to make sure you were behaving. "Have you ever been down to Hogsmeade, err..." Jamie paused, realizing he had no idea who he was talking to. "I'm sorry, I don't know your name."

The tiny greenhouse more free than the large castle; an amusing thought. "I'm Celyn. I don't think I caught your name either." it was always like that for her. Sometimes she never knew a persons name until after she knew a bit about his or her personality. "But yeah, I've been there a couple of times." [/b] she wasn't really all that into going to Hogsmead.[/blockquote]

"You have a very interesting name, Celyn." Jamie said smiling. It was the first time he met someone with such a name, which was nice. He liked it, it had a nice sound to it. "I'm Jamie." He answered. ...I've been there a couple of times. "I was wondering because sometimes it can be a nice escape, too. But only if you make it there when the rest of Hogwarts doesn't." His mind flashed back to the last time he was at Hogsmeade, helping Verity.

Celyn didn't suppose she heard her name very often, but the complement was welcomed anyways. "Thanks." she wasn't good with the whole accepting complement concept, but a simple thanks was enough in her books. "Well that's the problem. Students are always littering the streets. The only time you can go there is when there isn't a scheduled visit and it's during a storm or something." it was hard. Celyn hated how here she had to stick to certain places, but when back the States she could find those places where solitude was easily accessible. Hogsmead was not one of those places. "Then there is the Room of Requirements," she started "But that's been basically taken over. It's almost always used." Celyn had fun there once with Trent, but it was so long ago more than a month she was sure.

"Hmm..I've never been in the Room of Requirement." Jamie said thoughtfully. Someone had told him about it his fourth year at Hogwarts. "I mean, I've tried but I can never find it." He said with a little laugh. He could remember times when he would see a door that seems like it matched the description of the door to the Room of Requirement but whenever he walked by it three times, it never changed into anything.
