Dominic thought back, scrunching his eyebrows. He sifted though all the memories, all he could remember was Uncle. "I...." He was about to say he didn't know of any, but then a face popped up. "There was one time, Uncle was away....my cousin started to teach me the guitar." One good thing, out of all the years of bad. Of course, that memory led to another, and another until he came to the day that cousin had been killed, and his eyes darkened again.
"There may be a good thing, but it always leads to a worse memory."

She smiled at him.
"Nothing good ever lasts, but at least you have something to remember, burning things never put me in my moms good books, I think my parents despise me." she shuddered as goosebumps started to creep up her arm.

"My father's indifferent to me, my mother tried to raise me to be a 'perfect gentleman,' my father's siblings hate me for trying to tell them about Uncle, they all worship him," he rolled his eyes.

She frowned, that was something hard to deal with. No believed them.
"Don't they see their own children, don't they see you guys suffering?" she asked him, His uncle must have been extremely careful, or his other uncles were blinded.
"I'm sorry about your cousins." she muttered under her breath as she thought about her own family.

"See, he was the baby of the family, so of course, he can do no wrong," Dominic said bitterly. "I tried to tell everyone about it, to tell my father, people in the community.....he found out that I had done that....and he killed my older cousin, the oldest of us." He sighed, "Then I decided to take on all the...ah...experiments he wanted to do, to save my cousins. Then I had to come over here and they're left alone."

She felt sympathetic.
"How old are they?" she asked him, she was hoping they weren't extremely young, if they were as old as they were, at least then they could stand up for themselves, and with stand the torture.
"I mean it, must be really hard for all of them, and you." she leaned forward patting his hand and moved back, her brows still furrowed.

"The oldest now, that the one is dead and I'm here, she's a year younger than me," Dominic said, watching her, slightly surprised that she touched him. "In the time I've been here, I've lost another cousin, one of the younger ones."

She grimaced and repeated once again a small 'sorry'.
"You have to be strong for them, I mean I'm sure they don't want you to be hurting inside, so be strong, I'm sure that they'll be fine." she gave him a reassuring grin.

Dominic smiled bitterly, "They probably all hate me now." They had expected him to come back and to help them get rid of Uncle, but it hadn't happened.

She shook her head.
"Hat you for trying to stay alive? I wouldn't dream they would hate you, maybe they want you to stay safe, waiting for you to shall we say 'strike at the best moment', they shouldn't hate you, I wouldn't if I were in their shoes." she pulled opt her and not forgetting the wine.
"I almost forgot." she pointed her wand at the bottle.
"Evanesco." she muttered the vanishing spell making the bottle disappear.

Dominic stared at the space on the table where the bottle had been. "You know I won't remember half of what we've talked about," he said, staring into space, basically ignoring her words.

She rolled her eyes and stood up. She pulled her cloak tighter around her body and shrugged.
"Good, then I wont have to kill you for knowing I have a soft spot deep inside." she teased then stowed her wand in her robes and waved.
"I must leave, take care of yourself, don't do something stupid and reckless." she said and walked out of the hogshead a grin evident on her lips.

"Wait!" Dominic called, standing up. But his feet hit the leg of the table and nearly caused him to fall. By the time he had regained his balance, Storm was out of the building. He hit the table with a clenched fist and cursed under his breath.
