She shrugged at his question thinking hard about it.
"Because I see my past self in you, and I guess, it pains me to see someone endure so much agony is such a way." she wasn't lying, nor was she mocking Dominic, but her little game had had completely changed to reality.
"To be honest in the beginning, I just want to have my fun." she wouldn't lie to him and felt it was best to tell him the truth.

Dominic sneered, "So you pity me, basically," he said, staring at her. That was all he needed, someone's pity. He leaned up and reached for the bottle once more. "Wonderful." He tipped the bottle towards her, "Cheers."

She rolled her eyes, to her this was going nowhere, she grabbed the bottle from his hands.
"This is absurd, are you trying to kill yourself, now that will help your cousins." she glared down at him, clearly appalled by the whole ordeal, she was sure that there was rational thinking somewhere in his mind.
"Would you reconsider drinking this?" she asked him pointing to the wine.

Dominic glared at her, then eyed the bottle. He raised his eyebrow and looked from the bottle to her face a few times. "What's your name?" he asked, watching her. No one had ever actually tried to get him to stop, not actively anyway.

"Storm." she told him curtly as she glared back at him, she was so tempted to throw the bottle back to him, but she felt a small obligation in the pit of her stomach. Storm turned her head too look out the window where the Bloody Mary must have been. She wanted to talk to Dru about something important that came up, but would do so after she was finished with this.
"And you are?" she asked him if she told him her name, she wanted to know his as well.

"Dominic," he said, watching her, not really understanding why she seemed so angry at him, he had done nothing to her. "So do you make a habit of going around trying to better strangers' lives?"

She laughed as she placed the bottle on the table she was sitting at, far away from him, she kept her hand placed close to it, unless he tried to quickly snatch it from her.
"No, it's usually the other way around, but I guess I find it to be an obligation, I hate looking at these things unfold, so I might as well stop it, my way of repenting for my sins." she sighed and gave hima weak grin.

Dominic nodded, understanding a little bit. His eyes drifted from her face back to the bottle. The stupor he had been in, though not as bad as some he had experienced before, was beginning to lift and he knew he would have a horrible hangover the next day. If he could just stay the way he was, it would never- He shook his head and closed his eyes. He put his elbows on the table and rested his chin in his hands. "I'm pitiful, aren't I?" he said softly.

She sighed and shook her head.
"I've seen worse, at least for you it can be stopped and your not a crazed freak trying to kill me for taking your bottle of wine." she looked down at it and grinned.
"Elfin wine, I'm guessing you have great taste in your alcohol, or your just trying to knock yourself out with the strongest thing you can get." the last part was meant to be a joke, but she wasn't sure which way he would take it, especially in his state of mind.

Dominic smiled and rubbed his eyes. "There are times I would have attacked you," he said, having slight memories of it. "When you've been drinking as long as I have, you learn what's good and what's not. Be it for taste, for forgetting your worries," he smiled bitterly, "For not remembering the night before." He had built up quite a high tolerance over the years and had to drink more than most of stronger things to get into any semblance of a stupor.

Storm nodded her head in understanding.
"It's quite different for us, we usually have drinks for the sake of etiquette, no matter how bitter it is, we must raise our drinks at pureblood balls, it gets tiresome at times and you get used to it, but it's annoying knowing that you have to do it for the sake of respecting people who don't deserve it." she grimaced at this, she never liked being thought of as stuck up, but she wouldn't deny that she was raised in a high society.
"You must think I'm a spoiled brat by now." she said curling and uncurling her fist.

Dominic shook his head, "No, I don't. I come from a pureblood family, but my mother never was one for balls, though my father went to all he could. Of course," he grimaced, "I rarely actually had to participate, Uncle saw to that. I would rather have been in there dancing and drinking crappy wine."

She sighed, what he's been through was hard, she had been in the torture phase of her life, not necessarily physically but she was mentally and emotionally scarred.
"Well at least I got to burn a few dresses, those things are so big." she scrunched up her nose in distaste.

Dominic laughed, and then rubbed his temple. "I can imagine. I don't really have an upside to them. I've got a scar from one of them," he said, touching his chest lightly. His head was beginning to clear up, but it was slow moving.

She shook her head. There was always a positive to everything.
"I'm sure there is something, as insignificant as it may be." she frowned slightly.
