Lyne shrugged, "To each their own I guess," she stated simply. "So, anyway...." Layne thought about what to say next. Homework was far from her mind as she talked to Connor. He was an interesting character. Fascinating to talk to. Lately, after spending most of her time with Jory and meeting Lyric, she wasn't used to actual talkative males. "What brings you to the library? This a favorite spot for chatting it up with the ladies or something?"

Connor gave a light chuckle and shook his head, "I was actually doing homework." No, he didn't go around chatting it up with the ladies as she said. He had Melody, he didn't need to go chatting up ladies. This was just a bit of fun. He didn't have anything planned, therefore he was just fine sitting here talking to Layne.

Layne figured it was something like that, poking fun at him was fun though. "Same here," She said in place of a sarcastic comment. "Homework sucks. I mean, weekends are supposed to be our breaks, right?" How did teachers expect students to have lives if they kept giving out work. Weren't the greatest skills for life the social ones anyway?

"Yeah, what on earth are those crazy professors thinking?" Connor asked, shaking his head in mock disbelief. He didn't at all mind the break from the work. "But at least we're not doing it now. Why do today that which could be put off until tomorrow, right?" And since he had nothing due tomorrow, he had plenty of time to get everything finished.

Layne nodded, "True, so true. I like the way you think, Connor." She leaned back on her chair, balancing herself on the back two legs and the aid of the table. "What else you got? Enlighten me to your thinking," Layne said, trying her best to keep a straight face. He was so different than Jory! Jory was great, by all means, but there was something about Connor that was so refreshing.

"Why don't you enlighten me?" Connor asked. In other words, he couldn't come up with something on the spot like that without time or a prompt. He wanted to hear some more of what Layne had to say. He was thoroughly enjoying talking with Layne like this.

"Let's see.....In my opinion, people are dumb unless proven otherwise. Gum is the greatest thing ever. I thiink that everyone had the right to be creative in their own way. People who sugar coat the truth are the ones who can't face it. I'm not afraid to speak truth to power. And lastly, the greatest thing of all time are muggle movies." Layne grinned, "Thaat's basically me wrapped into one long rant."

Connor chuckled lightly and nodded, "I think I can live with that." Though, he had never been really into a lot of muggle movies. But then, his muggle relatives had always been the bookish type, other than that one cousin that had been really into video games. "I'd try to sum myself up like that, but I don't think it's possible."

"Not everyone is as talented as me I guess," Layne laughed."But seriously, like what are you into and stuff like that?" She crossed her arms as she leaned on the chair still. She had basically just told him everything about her wrapped into one long rant. Everything she loved to do, or was, was in a category of that. Now she needed to find out more about him.

"I like playing games, and flying," Connor said, shrugging. "I'm a typical guy, I guess." He didn't think of it normally, but he really was just a normal guy, for the most part. He was more shy...did that even count anymore? It didn't seem like he was shy anymore, but he didn't feel different even if he acted differently.

A typical guy? Well, seeing as most of the guys who were currently her age and in her life were gay, she would say that he was certainly not a typical guy. Well, unless he had a quick change of mind, but she could tell that he was fully straight. She chuckled to herself at the thought. But, she had to say something outloud. "Nice, you play Quidditch then...?"

"Yeah, me and the guys used to play at my old school, not so much here, though," Connor said. There wasn't much to do when it came to Quidditch here. He hadn't found anyone that played at the school, it seemed all but empty. "If they played here I'd be all over that."

"Where'd you go before here?" Layne asked. It was hard for her to even think about a school other than Hogwarts, she had been here far too long already. She had heard of a few smaller schools out and around London, but it seemed as if everytime she asked, a new school was mentioned. It really made her wonder how many wizards there really were if there were so many schools!

"A couple of places," Connor said, though he didn't give any more info than that. He didn't want to go into detail about the first school he had gone to, there were too many bad memories there, and talking about MI would just lead to more uncomfortable thoughts. "One in America, and one in London."

"I've only been here. All....what is it, five years now? My best friend went to another school in London too. He's here now though." Layne thought back to what she just said. There were soo many schools in London that her comment seemed pointless. Whatever, it made for some conversation. "Where did you go there?" She asked.
