"I've got my drawing pad," he said, it was full of landscapes and drawings of Dru, "But you'd think I was obsessive if you looked at it." He pulled out a small white book and tapped it with his wand, it grew and he slid his wand back into his pocket and flipped it open to a random page. It was one of the many drawings of Dru, one of the more recent ones, she was dressed the way she had been on the boat, a large smile on her face. His eyes softened as he looked at it, he no longer hid his emotions. "But you can look if you want," he said quietly.

"I would love to see it." she said smiling looking at the drawing pad in his hands. She reached out and took it and looked at the drawing that was open. She was awe struck, couldn't speak, she flipped through the pages each one capturing something different.
"Wow." she said returning it to him. The drawings were inspiring, her mind already flooded with ideas for her writing. She eyed him carefully and a question formed in her head. She wasn't sure how it left her lips, but she found herself saying it anyways.
"You still love her don't you." she clamped a hand over her mouth as she noticed it wasn't any of her business.
"You don't need to answer that." she muttered slightly surprised by her own outburst.

"Do you ever really stop loving someone?" Michael asked, looking at the pad in her hands. "If you really, truly love them, that is." After a few moments he looked up at her and gave a small smile, "You must think I'm really pitiful."

Storm stopped for a moment, could you stop loving someone? She never fell in love, she only had one infatuation the others were just crushes that blew over after a week or less. She didn't understand the term love, she didn't even love her own parents. She then thought about Chase. She wasn't sure if she loved him, but she knew her relationship with him was much stronger than the other ones. She thought about what she would do if he left her for Dru. If he ended up abandoning her, she wouldn't forget him, she was sure she would yearn for his comfort.
"I don't think you can." she said quietly a sigh escaping her parted lips as she spoke.
"If you really love her, then you will never forget her, even if at times when you feel like you forgot her for someone else, her face will be etches in your mind, and when you shut your eyes, you will see nothing but her." she paused for a minute and quotes
"You know you are in love when you see the world in her eyes, and her eyes everywhere in the world." she quoted David Levesque's quote smiling, she wouldn't admit it, but Storm had a soft spot for muggle poems and quotes.

"Well then I guess I still love her..." he said softly, "But...I think I can move on." Could he really though? He wasn't really sure, if he saw her with someone else, would he be able to contain himself? "I have to move on," he said firmly, he couldn't sit around thinking about her all day long. Perhaps they would be able to be friends eventually, he could hope at least.

She shook her head at him and propped her elbow on the table.
"Don't force it Michael, it will only hurt even more, go out see a few girls you might find one who will up that empty hole." she smiled at him.
"Well at least you don't have a love triangle or circle in your relationship." this was partially true, he did feel for Dru, so that made him involved in this just as much as she was. Another complication she let out a small inhumane growl of frustration, she wasn't sure if Dru would want to tell him, so at the moment she felt like she had to tell him, that it was best he knew right now before he found out from a rumor. She hoped deep in her heart that Dru would understand why she did it.
"Michael you've been completely honest, so it'd only right that I tell you, but promise you won't get mad ok?" she asked him her fingers crossed, her voice serious.

Michael partially zoned out, don't force it, well, it wasn't really forcing if he was just finally letting go. Her last words caught his attention once more and he cocked an eyebrow at her. "What do you...yeah, I promise," he said, looking at her, wondering what she meant.

Storm drummed her fingers on the table biting down on her lip she wouldn't look at him as she spoke.
"Thee girl I said that has Chase wrapped around her finger, well you know who she is, you know her more than others do." she hinted to him indirectly, she knew he wasn't dumb and would instantly catch on.

Michael stared at Storm evenly, concentrating on breathing. His heart was racing, she had moved on. He tried to speak but words wouldn't come. Reaching out, he took the drawing pad back and snapped it shut, not looking at the drawing inside. After a few long moments he took a deep breath, "I'm not going to take back what I said before, you need to speak to him about how you feel. But if he chooses her...." he grimaced slightly at the idea, "I can't say I don't blame him."

She flinched at his last statement, she knew it was a bad idea, but she felt she had to do it, she kept looking down at the table her head spinning with so many possibilities, none of them reassured her. He was right, Dru was a better person than her, from birth she was mis-judged because of her name, she even acted the way they expected her to.
"Sorry." she muttered, she was saying it to him and herself, she was sorry for telling him something so painful, she was also sorry for believing she had a chance with Chase.

"Oh no, no no no," Michael said, eyebrows coming together as he took her hand, "I didn't mean to imply you were a bad person..." He paused, searching for words to explain himself, "Just that...I've been with her, I can understand if he chose her..." he trailed off, looking at her, "I guess it's envy, I mean..." he looked at her hopelessly.

She didn't move as she took his words in she smiled at him at him attempt to make her feel better, and it did work, but it didn't change her mind.
"No, I am a bad person, he will choose her." Storm had met Dru and knew she was a really kind girl, despite the rumor exaggerations.
"I will try, but it's a waste of his time and mine, I'm hopeless." she pulled her hand away from him and buried her face in her hands her nails digging in her scalp in an attempt to calm herself down.
"How can one guy have such an effect on me?" she asked him.

"You're not hopeless, you'll figure it out," Michael said, watching her. "The same way one girl can have the effect Dru had on me." He only realized he had used the past tense after he said it and it stopped him in his tracks. Maybe he was finally on his way to getting over her.

Storm looked up at him and grinned.
"Now I see why she chose you in the first place." she said her grin turning into a smile and amused look on her face.
"Finally a Slytherin the rest of us can be proud of." she complimented him sincerely.

Michael gave a small smile and looked down, "I don't know about that, turning against my family's values isn't really something Slytherins tend to be proud of." He thought back to when he and Dru had first got together, how she had been so very insistent on being with him, to take the chance, only for him to hurt her. His smile faded.
