Michael drew a blank there. "I don't know, I'd assume it's the same as in a wedding. I don't have anyone for a best man or anything." And no one jumped out at him as someone to choose, either. There were so many other things to worry about, though, so that wasn't very high on his list, anyway. "Clothes...dances...speeches," he mumbled as he read over the page.

Dare wrinkled his nose, but didn't chime in at first. "Wait... speeches?" he asked, lifting his head a bit to get a glimpse of the book. "Are we supposed to give speeches, too? Getting... married," he said defiantly, "isn't enough?" He was sick of trying to find politically correct ways of saying it. He'd asked Michael to marry him, dammit.

Michael's chest had constricted in a mixture of pain and pleasure at the word married, and he nearly forgot what he had been saying before. "No, it's like...toasts, well wishes, it says that traditionally the best man does one." It then gave other options, such as recording people speaking their well wishes to be kept by the couple.

"Oh," Dare said, resting against Michael again. That didn't sound like anything he needed to worry about. He'd have to mention it to Silver next time they ran into each other, but he couldn't see Silver having a problem with it, considering how few people would be there. One of Dare's hands slipped beneath the edge of Michael's shirt to smooth against his skin as he thought absently. "So what do we need for the reception?" he asked. "Besides the cake?"

Michael shook his head and his eyes closed at the feel of Dare's hand against his skin. "Food, music, favors. We always got a little something from the couple and their families, but I don't think any of the people coming for us expects that much." The little somethings that he had gotten from weddings during his childhood were silver and gold, and he wasn't about to spend that much money on something like that.

"Maybe I could make something at work," he suggested, his hand starting slow, circular motions against Michael's back and side. "I wouldn't know what to make, though." His mind didn't at all follow Michael's into the kinds of things that might have been given at a Pureblood society wedding, though it did occur to him that Michael had gone to at least a few weddings to warrant the word always. The thought was vague, though. His mind was shifting again, and it was taking a lot of restraint not to turn and part his lips against Michael's neck.

Michael looked down at Dare with a small smile on his lips. "If you want to, you can, but I don't know what to hand out. I mean, the things we would always get...there were like bowls, I don't know, each one had something different. It usually said something about the couple on it, though." He had no idea where to start with favors for their own guests.

"Bowls," Dare repeated, brows knitting. Now that would be a reason to get a ceramics room set up. "I can make decent bowls..." Bowls were beginners' work, so he had practice with them, and though it could take him several tries to get one that looked good enough to keep, he was sure he could get nine or ten before the end of June if he had enough access to the supplies.

Michael smiled at the idea of the momentos being handmade, something that was unheard of in the circle he had grown up in. "It looks like we'll be needing that add-on after all," he said, though he fully intended to go through and find out how much everything was going to cost first. He wondered how much the robes would cost.

Dare's lips curved, and his hand paused against Michael's skin long enough to tighten his arms for a hug. He couldn't resist anymore and lifted his head, brushing his lips softly against Michael's ear. "I love you." He pressed a kiss to Michael's neck then, and another as his hand resumed its motions. He was happy and comfortable for now and didn't push it any farther, but he was thoroughly enjoying the moment.

"I love you, too," Michael said, wondering faintly how many times they had said it already since waking up, and how many more times it would be said before finally falling asleep. His eyes closed and he brought his arm nearest Dare up to run through his hair. He leaned his head lightly against Dare's and tried to let himself relax. If someone came in, they would come in.

Minutes passed in comfortable silence before Dare gave a sigh. "I don't want to go to work," he said, though his voice was resigned. He would go, but he'd far prefer to sit with Michael on the couch, to take Elouai on a walk to the park together, to curl up in bed and just enjoy each other. "I could bring dinner home," he suggested. That would cut out the time it usually took him to cook.

Michael nodded and smiled. He liked the idea that they would have that much more time together. "While you're gone I'll try to figure out how much this stuff is going to cost," he said. He wouldn't be able to have the exact prices, considering Dare wouldn't be with him, but he could figure out estimates and find out how much they could spend on... "What about the honeymoon?" he asked, voice soft as though to keep the thought safe from the outside world.

Dare's lips curved again, and his hands both moved under Michael's shirt, just at his waist where the counter would block the view from any surprise customers. "I want to go somewhere," he murmured, nuzzling into Michael's neck. "I'll give something up if we need to." He paused, then gave a nearly-inaudible chuckle. "I should con someone into buying some art off me." Unfortunately, the one person who had actually given him a commission was... No, he corrected himself. It wasn't unfortunate. It was better for Michael, and better for them.

Michael shrugged, "We can go anywhere you want. And anything we spend now, even if we have to borrow it, we can make up for later." He knew that there was no way they could spend more than he would be getting for his graduation. There were no ideas in his mind on where they could go, he just wanted to be away from everything, away from stress and everything they had to worry about and be with Dare for a few days.
