Connor had grinned at her first statement, then said, "I'll catch you if you fall," and then turned his eyes back to the students. "Um...the ones with..." his eyes scanned the robes until he saw one with the Hufflepuff badge. "There, see the patch on her robe?" he asked, skipping the older male student he had noticed first and moving to a slightly less intimidating girl with the same symbol on her robes.

"I'll be counting on that then," Meldy said then looked at who he had pointed out. Sure enough, that girl was walking towards them (or rather, the stairs). As she came by, Melody asked her where the common room was and the girl told her to follow. "Ok," Melody said to the Hufflepuff, then turned to Connor with a smile and said, "I'll see you later then." With that, Melody used her wand to pick up the bags, and as she climbed the stairs with the student, she put her hand to her ponytail and released her hair in a subtle yet flirty way. Her hair swished behind her as she rounded the corner to go to the commom room.

Connor watched with slightly wide eyes as Melody walked away. I've gotta find Vane. He had a few days before he could find him, though. It was then that he realized there had been no plans made as to where they could meet or when, and he mentally scolded himself. But that could easily be fixed with an owl. First, he needed to find a bathroom, then, he needed to figure out how he could find Vane within the next couple of days. He stood and strode off, his mind running circles.
