Chase's jaw tensed a moment, but he couldn't seem to release Storm's wrist, even if that seemed like the better choice. "She just wanted me to try it out, being with her. I don't know why I said yes, but I did. It's just not...over yet. I want you, Storm. If we just...wait this out, it'll be better in the end." Right?

She released her wrist from his grip gently and moved it to the side of his face.
"Alright." she said softly leaning in and pressing her lips to his. A slight gust of wind had made her realize how cold she was now. She pulled away from this time fishing for her things before she froze to death.

The wind was no longer encouraging them to hurry, but demanding. Chase righted himself as best he could, though his hair was still rakishly tousled. He was watching Storm as he tugged on his jacket. Bits of dried leaves clung to her hair, making her look like some sort of autumn wood faerie. His lips curved at the thought. He had half a mind not to tell her.

She finally pulled on her cloak, the cold not irritating her as much. She watched Chase and raised a brow at his expression, but it relaxed instantly. She stepped closer to him smiling.
"Ready to go back?" she asked him, although deep down she wished time could just freeze, so they wouldn't have to.

"Not yet," Chase replied. He drew Storm into his arms for one last kiss, savoring the moment while he could. When they broke apart, he pulled out his wand, giving a subtle flick to clear her hair of most of the leaves. It would have to do. With that, they headed back toward the castle.
