She managed to trudge through the thick leaves. Every once in a while, her foot would get stuck on a tree root and she would trip. She didn't want to go too far, knowing that she promised her parents she wouldn't stray far from the school, it didn't mean she couldn't visit the forest.
Her legs grew weary, she couldn't move any farther, it was too dark inside, darker than even the night sky. With her wand, she cleared a spot and settled down on the upraised root. Leaning back against the tree, she could feel herself relax, after having to meet two jerks... she could really use the silence that only the forbidden forest could offer.
Looking up, she could still see the bright stars, she wasn't to far inside, so the trees barely shadowed where she was sitting. Unknown to her, a hooded figure had followed silently, one she would be less than happy to see.

Only the dark tresses of hair could be seen, gently flowing out of the dark hood, obscuring everything but the rose red painted lips. The red lips of Eirene were in a smirk, the foolish girl had already put herself in danger, could the child be so ignorant?
Her wand pointed towards the ground, using a spell to muffle the crunching sounds the leaves would have otherwise made. She was thankful for the fact that Lafra didn’t do the same, it made it easier to listen for the footsteps while she stayed far behind.
They had barely made it into the woods before the crunching sound stopped. Eirene moved behind a tree, her eyes firmly planted on the girl. She then made her way around the trees, weaving in and out till she was angled in front. Now she had a clear view.
She firmly clutched the wand in her hand, it would be impossible to use a silly curse such as the killing one, only an amateur Death Eater would do something stupid. She waited, now was not the time, the girl was off guard, Eirene had to make it seem like a struggle, as if Lafra was attacked by a beast in the forest not another person.
She waited, using the tip of her foot, she brushed a tree leaf, the cracking sound was just enough to be heard, but not enough for the girl to pinpoint it’s direction, this would be too easy… such a shame a bright young girls life had to be sacrificed because of her birthright… the world worked in such cruel ways.

Lafra was barely settled in, about to drift off, but the crunching sound made her body stiffen. With narrowed eyes, her head darted from one side to the other, if it was an animal, then it must have stopped, the sound was too low for her to pinpoint it origins, but it was odd how fast it was. As if whatever it was had stopped moving… yet she would have heard it approaching in the first place.
Standing up she brushed her robes, whatever beast it was, she’d be ready to take it on. Lafra’s wand was now up her sleeve, she would let it slip down if she needed it, for now though she would return to sitting down, only now she was on high alert.
Relaxing against the tree, the stiffness was gone, however her eyes still darted from side to side, trying to figure out what… or who it was, it was probably Zane, playing a stupid little trick on her to get her scared… it wasn’t going to work on her.

Eirene’s lips parted for a moment, her teeth grazing the blood tinted lips. With her wand, she stepped out of the shadows of the tree, but first made sure that her face was completely hidden in the shadow of her hood.
“It’s not wise for a child to play in such an isolated part of the school.” Her voice was a low hiss, such a tone that Lafra wouldn’t be able to recognize her, the whole point was to scare the girl, she knew that taking her out now would be a big mistake, not only did the girl come back to early, but Eirene’s husband had to get all the ‘paperwork’ done before they could ensure the wealth to be their own.
She knew that Lafra would be able to see the smirk on her lips, if only things weren’t so easy, the objective was fear, to rise fear amongst the school, to let them know that the school was not as safe as they wanted it to be, that the foolish feeling of being at ease was one they shouldn’t take comfort in.
“Especially a bright child wanted just because of a silly little mistake daddy made.” her low hiss was mocking, instantly she raised her wand, aiming it at the girl, giving her time to dodge it, but not enough to completely avoid being hurt.
“Incendio.” her voice rose only a pitch high than usual, it was still in a hiss, menacing… fire blasted from her wand, aiming itself towards Lafra. If only Lafra was a grown Auror or something, it would be much fun to play.

The sound of the voice had made her blood run cold. Her head snapped to the source, she couldn’t make out who it was beneath the cloak, and the voice was so different, yet familiar somehow. It was most likely someone from one of those pureblood gatherings, yet why was this woman attacking her?
“I’m no child.” She responded, but the woman was obviously not listening, too busy enjoying some thought that ran through her mind. Already they were on her trail, already her uncle had sent someone to finish her off, why now? Was this a trick? A game being played on her by someone? No, it seemed to real and this women seemed to serious, the menacing hiss of her voice was enough for goose bumps to appear on her pallid skin.
“Who are…” but she didn’t have the chance to continue, a spell was thrown, Lafra didn’t have time to respond with her own, so flung herself to the side. She felt a slight burning sensation on her arm. It had barely missed, grazing the skin, but not enough to make it bleed. Her eyes were wide with horror, who was this monster?
“Stop, I… I don’t want to be a part of all this, I don’t want to be the heir to the Seyrrou wealth… I just want to be left alone.” Lafra tried to plead, but it would do her no good. It was as if she was speaking to a wall… if this woman was a Death Eater she was screwed.

Eirene laughed, it was high and shrill, was this girl serious? She couldn’t choose not to, it was automatic, the enchantments placed on the wealth were so powerful and only the true heir could come near it.
“Silly child, magic doesn’t work that way.” This time she flicked her wand in a quick upward motion, not uttering the spell the ‘Expulsol’ didn’t have to hit to cause damage, the sheer force of it was enough to send her body slamming into a tree.
“You are on the masters list, you must be taken care of, it’s how the world works, get rid of the obstacle, in this case you.” She said it before the spell had hit, her gleaming eyes bright, her lips curled in a vicious smile, if only the girl would actually put up a fight.
“You’re boring me darling.” she leaned against the nearest tree to how her dissatisfaction.

This time she made sure to doge it, but the impact against the tree sent her smashing back into the other one. Now the back of her head was throbbing and her vision was blurred. The taunting however was still heard, she wouldn’t react she’d just keep dodging until she found an opening, one where she can petrify the woman.
“Then go find yourself another playmate.” She staggered forward, wand raised to defend. The throbbing pain was numbing, she couldn’t feel it anymore, probably because of the adrenaline rush in her veins.
“Do you find pleasure in playing with a mere child?” she mocked her back, not caring if it provoked an attack, all she needed to do was provoke this women until she thought she was winning, then when she would just toy around, she’d use that as a perfect opportunity to get away to the safety of the school.

“Confringo.” She hissed, the girls words did in fact hit a nerve, not only was she mocking her, but she was asking for the forest to be her death bed. No, she couldn’t do that, there would be a time for that, but later.
“I have no choice, although, if you would be so nice to give me another option.” She had now pushed away from the tree. Walking closer to the girl, it would be easy to get her from a closer distance, more fun to see the reactions as well.

This time she wasn’t as fortunate as before, the flame had hit her arm, the heat made her flinch, she didn’t realize that she had let out a slight scream. Raising her wand hand to her shoulder, she could feel it shake underneath her. Why didn’t she just end it, why did she have to play games? Lafra was about to fire another spell, but the idea didn’t appeal to her, she didn’t need her wand yet, she had to give it time.
“Oh come on, is that all?” she managed to say through her teeth, the pain was overwhelming, but she had to set her game up, she had to win this.

Eirene's eyes brightened, she was challenging her, egging her on. Well if she wanted to get hurt badly, then she would get exactly what she wanted. With a flick of her arm, a curse shot forward towards Lafra, a curse meant to slice at the pale skin of her niece.
"You're not going to fight back?" her voice purred, she wanted a reaction, or else she would quickly have to end this, get it all over with.

She felt her skin rip open at her waist. She didn't hear the spell, nor was she ready to dodge it, she had concentrated to long on the wound. Another scream and she fell back, her skin now stained with blood, her robes slashed open to reveal her bloodied up waist.
"N... no." she hissed, the pain was overwhelming, her plains were out the window, she wouldn't be able to get past this now, unless he attacked now.
"Avis, Oppugno." after the birds were conjured, they flew towards the hooded figure, intent to attack, she chewed on her lower lip, what else coudl she do, she wasn't properly trained yet, Lafra still had a year before she graduated and even then this woman would still surpass her.

The birds that flew towards her made her smirk, with a simple flick, they all disappeared into nothingness.
"A trick like that wont do you any good." she pointed her wand at the girl, it was best if she ended it now. With her robe trailing behind her, she came closer to the girl, and pointed her wand once more.
"Relashio." with that and in conjunction with another spell, she sent to two hurtling towards Lafra, if the first missed then the second would once again slash at her, it would be enough before she could complete her task.

Her eyes went wide, she got rid of the birds as if it was nothing more than a child's play toy. Stepping back, away from the figure, she knew she was done for, but the spells sent towards her made her freeze up, they weren't what she was expecting.
The fiery spark hit her right at her other shoulder, while the second slashed at the left side of her body. She couldn't take it anymore, leaning against the tree she slid down, she coudl feel her vision blur slightly. It wasn't the fact that two spells were sent at her, but why didn't this women just kill, use the stupid killing curse and get it all over with, it made no sense.
"Go burn in hell you b~." she managed to spit out, her voice lowered, but it was all the energy she could muster, she leaned back against the tree, her lids getting heavier, maybe she would just accept the darkness, she hadn't slept for so long, this was the perfect opportunity.

It was all over, she leaned down and placed a finger at the girls neck, she still had a pulse, she would live. Standing back up, she sighed and turned towards the castle, she had to do something so that Lafra would be found. Raising her wand to the sky she wondered what to cast, a smirk came to her lips as the perfect idea occurred.
"Morsmordre." she hissed, with a bright flash, the mark above her head flashed bright green. The dark mark hovered just above the place where Lafra sat, it would be perfect, maybe then she could give the little kiddies something to fear.
"Next time, you should be prepared to play." her voice was low the hiss in her tone still evident. Turning on her heels, she left the scene quickly, not wanting to be caught.

She looked into the hood, there was still a shadow, but somehow this person seemed so familiar. Glaring back at the woman, she tried to move her muscles, but they gave out as soon as she tried, she was too exhausted, and it didn't help she hadn't slept in a while. She tried to stay awake as long as possible, maybe she would get to see who it was.
Turning her head up, she saw the bright green symbol hovering above her head and growled, the skull and serpent tongue disgusted her on so many levels. She watched the woman leave and was able to relax, what the hell was going on, what happened to the usual killing, the Death Eaters were getting sloppier it seemed.
Lafra, wouldn't allow herself to succumb to the darkness, not until she figured everything out, her brain was fighting with her body, while one wanted to stay awake, the other wanted nothing more than to fall asleep.
