"Don't scratch things out." she sighed, her eyes widening a bit. She supposed he was right, it would look funny to see someone talking to a girl who was unconscious.
"Imperfections... makes art beautiful." some people never considered writing as an art, but she wasn't one of those people. She had always thought that writing was another form of drawing, only with words.
"Writing means a lot to you." it was more of a statement than a question, the way he spoke about writing was as if it was a huge force in his life. He really was a Ravenclaw.

Silver blinked, and his gaze dropped to the girl in his arms. For one flickering moment he forgot where he was, then he took a deep breath and looked up as he mounted the front steps of the castle. "Yes, it does," he said, trying to keep his voice strong. He needed to keep her awake and get her to help, not develop a huge crush on her. He hadn't even seen her, really. "We're almost there," he told her.
Why was it that he couldn't agree with her statement about imperfection? He knew it was true, but for him, he just couldn't handle it. Dare was the same, it was something their father had stressed, likely some of the firm structure he'd been raised in, though he had rarely spoken of the Pureblood world. Rarely, and in little detail.

She nodded her head, she continuously told herself not to move, not to sleep, not until she got there. Lafra's fingers relaxed, she could trust him, she didn't need to hold onto him anymore.
Lafra accepted the silence, they were almost there. Lafra felt more comfortable outside of the forest. The pain she had felt was now a blur, she was concentrating on other things. Her eyes now trailed over Silver, over what she could see of him from her angle.
"Thank you."she said again, she realized that he may leave as soon as they got there, she may not have another opportunity to thank him, especially because she was sure she would stay in her dorm.

Silver paused at the top of the steps, and his eyes dropped to the slight, feminine shadow in his arms. "You're welcome," he said softly. Another moment and he realized his mind was drifting again.
He cleared his throat and went on, in through the castle doors and into the entrance hall. He wasn't particularly quiet, his booted feet sounding against the stone floor, but he didn't particularly care if he got caught. He was sure that Filch wouldn't be able to do a thing considering why he was in the corridors instead of Ravenclaw Tower. Of course, that had nothing to do with why he'd been outside so late in the first place, but his original rule-breaking would be overlooked.
"We're almost there, Lafra," Silver said, raising his voice slightly to get her attention again. The sound startled him against the quiet, echoing slightly through the empty corridor. His heartbeat quickened again, and so did his footsteps. They were so close.

Lafra flinched, this time it was because of the noise. The hit to her head made her hear sensitive, and the echo only worsened the pain.
"Not... so loud." she said in between gritting teeth, the light from the torched hurt, she buried her head in his chest the bright light had stung and she was afraid that by closing her eyes she would fall asleep.
"Too bright." her already faint voice was muffled, she wondered if he even heard her.
Lafra could only hear the sound of his boots, she was happy there was no one else, meaning that she didn't have to worry about the place being too noisy.

"Sorry," Silver said quietly, that soft motion of her face against him nearly sending him reeling. He looked down at her, but all he could see of her was dark, tousled curls and pale hands. He took a somewhat shaky breath and plowed on, looking for the first set of stairs to the second floor and the Hospital Wing.
He would have done something about the torches as well, but his hands were both busy and she didn't need to be jostled while he reached for his wand. He tried to think of something else to say that might keep her awake, but it was difficult to think now. He thought of those dark, tousled curls and pale hands, and he thought of how close he was as he finally found the stairs he'd been looking for.

Her head stayed buried, she wasn't completly aware of her positioning against him, she was too busy keeping herself awake to really pay attention. She wondered what she could say too preoccupy herself.
"What were you doing out so late?" she knew that she was also out, but she had a justified reason for being out... peace and quiet, which ended up to be the complete opposite.
Lafra was scowling internally, she missed out on such a perfect opportunity, then again she was getting some form of peace right now, and some form of quiet.

Silver glanced back down at Lafra, reminding himself briefly to take the stairs one at a time instead of rushing up them like he wanted to. He wondered how she was still able to talk, and he was more than a little amazed. Maybe she was in shock? He was no Healer though, so he put that aside.
"I was writing," he said honestly. "The moon was bright enough, and I... I'm not sleeping much lately." It was enough of the truth to count, so he left it there.
"What about you? What hap-- I mean, you don't have to tell me, but do you know what happened?"

She paused and tried to shrug, it wasn't easy so she just stopped, afraid of what it would do. Her mind was buzzing, what was she doing out there? What had happened, everything was such a blur. Instead of saying anything she was too lost in thought unable to really come up with an answer.
She shifted her head, just a bit so she could look up, her eyes were still a bit droopy, but she was forcing herself to stay awake, the sound of his boots on the marbled floor was enough.
Her thoughts then returned to what had happened not long ago, she could faintly remember the hooded woman, a few exchange of words... the bright green mark, other than that everything was a blank.
Lafra kept silent, it was the best answer she would be able to give him.

Silver wasn't entirely sure he'd been expecting an answer. He'd thought that maybe if she told him, he could... could what? Keep her from having to relive it every time someone asked? Take over for her, as though he had any right? It wasn't right to feel so protective over someone he'd only just met, was it? "You don't have to tell me," he said softly. It wasn't his business. He'd only found her. Found her nearly unconscious from blood loss on the dark forest floor with the Dark Mark hovering over her. Somehow the Headmistress was going to have to know. Would she see? Did she already know? Had they only just missed a group of professors or Aurors or Ministry officials going into the forest through another path? Silver was so lost in thought that he was surprised at the sudden appearance of the hospital doors in front of him. magikal05.proboards46.com/index.cgi?action=display&board=hospital&thread=4027
