her eyes scanned the Lake, so barely anyone was there, but enough so that two wouldn't be able to harm her. After much begging and pleading with her parents, they finally allowed her to return to Hogwarts. She promised that if anything happened she would go straight to the the Headmistress.
Flipping the book, her eyes peered over the Iliad. She was completly in love with the story. She was now at the part where Hector and Achilles would finally face off, while Hector ran, Achilles would chase, probably one of her favorite part in the whole epic.
Looking up, her lips were pulled in a slight frown, people seemed to slowly leave. Probably because the weather was getting cooler, thankfully though there was no snow, so she didn't really care to leave the place.
Slowly, her eyes returned to the book, an unsettling feeling came over her as she shivered. It had almost nothing to do with the cold, but something about having no one around made her feel uneasy.
Shaking her head at the thoughts, she returned to her book, getting lost in the words everything else was just a blur.

Lucretia was kicking the rock on the ground. She was barely back and now she already had to deal with drama. On a positive note, she got to met someone pretty cool, Markise. Her lips curled up in a smile, he pretty much was the highlight of her week so far, she owed him quite a bit now.
Kicking the rock, she kicked it beside some, almost hitting the girl. Her eyes squinted until she gasped, how could she have not noticed.
"Lafra!" her voice was bright, she would scratch her former though, this and Markise were the highlights of her week. The excitement in her voice was obvious, she couldn't hide it, but at least it didn't sound childish, Lafra hated anything sounding childish.

At first, he was going to approach the one girl, but now having two... and last he heard both families were at odds, it would be tricky to try and speak with both without having hexes and curses thrown. However, it surprised him the tone coming out of Storm, or whatever it was she went by now.
His eyes trailed from one to the other, wondering what Lafra's reaction would be to seeing her cousin again. With crossed arms, he watched with narrowed eyes, hidden behind the tree and in the shadow. They wouldn't notice him unless he wanted them to, he'd approach both in a bit.

Lafra instinctively looked up at the person with narrowed eyes. Her fingers twitched towards her pocket, where her wand was, but it settle back at her book and a smile was now on her lips.
"Storm." she said, standing up, she walked closer to the girl, completly ignoring the fact that she almost hit her with a rock.
"It's so good to see you again." her own excitement was also evident. With arms crossed, she turned to look behind Storm, her parents weren't following her, so that meant she was safe for now. As long as Storm was with her, her aunt and uncle wouldn't be able to do anything.

Lucretia noticed and her features slightly darkened, she hasn't seen her parents, only a few times her mother and thankfully never ran into her father.
"They wouldn't dare come." her voice lowered, it was barely above a whisper, just in case they had any means of listening to her conversation.
Lucretia wrinkled her nose, she felt as though she was being watched, turning her head to look around, it seemed as though almost everyone disappeared, except for the few that sat alone thinking about Merlin knows what.
"We're being watched." her voice went low as she turned to the place where she thought she sensed the look. Because of the shadow, she couldn't really make out any figure, it seemed as though no one was there. Squinting, she finally sighed and gave out, pulling out her wand, she muttered lumos and it lit up.
"Alright come out." she shined her wand on the spot and an odd gasp was heard from her. What was he doing here? she had half a mind to curse him, and at the same time she was happy to see him, he was one of the few that did support... yet corrupt her at the same time.

"Ah amori mio, how long has it been since I've seen you two? A year or two?" his accent was thick, he knew those games didn't work on these two anymore, but just for old time sake he would use it. Walking to the two girl his lips was in a smirk, the one he always used to get what he wanted.
"You two have grown.. in more ways than one." his eyes scanned both girls, mostly Lafra, he remembered that at one point he could have seen beyond the cloth, if only she would have let him.
He was waiting for the hexes and curses to be thrown, but they both seemed so different, Storm didn't have the usual blank look, and Lafra didn't seem so... uncaring anymore. This thought made his brow raise.

At first she was frozen, but at the words spoken by Zane, her tense body relaxed and she rolled her eyes, obviously his words were meant as a tease.
"Zane... how good it is to see you." she said sarcastically, the two had quite a history, the Mezzanotte family was known for being neutral and not getting into family affairs. Instead they never chose a side, but were still a well known Italian pureblood family.
Her folded arms tightened around her frame, the uneasy feeling returned, something just wasn't right.
"Although it would be better to see your brother." she knew that it pissed Zane off when she spoke so highly about Vincent. Zane and Storm knew that Vincent was the only male she was really close with, and the only guy she actually hugged without becoming tense. That always got on Zane's nerves.

She felt the corners of her lips twitch into a smile. Lafra didn't like Zane much, but Lucretia was quite close with him. Lucretia wrapped her arms around him grinning.
"You jerk, took you long enough to transfer." she looked up at Zane, she had never seen him in that way, but because she never had siblings, Lucretia saw Zane as an older brother of sorts... except for when he started making those odd and perverted comments.
Pulling away from him she frowned, looking around somewhere, maybe Vincent would pop up somewhere like he always did.

Lafra rolled her eyes once again, returning to her tree she plopped down and reopened her book to the page she was at formerly.
Her past with Zane was an awkward one, and reopening old wounds wasn't on her mind really, but she wondered, why was he here? Surely in Italy they had a better life, greater friends, and they lived there... last she checked.
"So why Hogwarts?" she managed to say, the silence was getting to her, also, the curiosity was nagging her.

The impact from the hug made him grin, he wrapped his arms around her. he really did miss Storm, he especially missed her love for a more chaotic life, it made things that much more interesting. He caught the frown and shook his head, Vincent wasn't here, he wasn't even sure if Vincent was sorted into the same house.
"What can I say, I was too preoccupied with all the pretty ladies back in Rome." his lips curled into a smirk, his eyes turning towards Lafra, wondering what her reaction would be.
"How could I stay away from you? You always were my bellezza." his voice was in a small drawl, he stooped down to her height, brushing a finger at her hair, tucking it behind her ear. His lips curled, he knew how her reaction would be to being touched.

Lucretia stifled a laugh, the show was a bit amusing, Lafra's reactions were always priceless when it came to things like this, especially when touched by a male other than Vincent.
"They can't be prettier than the ones here?" it was a question, but she asked only to play along with Zane's game. Turning to look at Lafra she wondered what the reaction would be. She watched as Zane descended to her level, and the way his fingers moved, Lucretia leaned against the tree, wondering how long it would take for Lafra to break.

The way his finger touched her made another shiver reverberate in her body. She wasn't going to let him get the best of her, he used to always win, she'd win this time. Reaching up, she grabbed his finger, a sickly sweet smile on her face.
"You don't want to do that amore mio." her voice was dangerously low before she threw his finger to the side, his games annoyed the hell out of her, and the only person who was good at stopping the was Vincent.
"If I was your bellezza, then why would it take so long for you to get here I'm sure you would have came running with you tail in between your legs." she snared, Lafra returned to her book, trying her best to ignore Zane, it worked before it shoudl work now... she had after all been ignoring him for about a year... or more.

"If I were to compare between you two and the other girls in Italy, then it would be hard to choose." he turned to Storm for a moment, winking at her, thankfully she still remembered how to play.
What startled him though was the feeling of his finger being grabbed, turning back to Lafra his eyes went wide with surprise, since when was she like this? After her little threat, it made him want to push more, her reactions were always so amusing.
"You shouldn't stick your nose in a book so much, it's not healthy." he placed his hand over the book, if it was one thing they had in common, it was their love for reading, but he wasn't as extreme as she was.
"You might get sucked into the book." his smile was teasing, he angled his head so he coudl get a look at her grey eyes.

"How flattering." she said to him after he answered her question, it was funny sometimes how he acted around Lafra, sometimes nauseating, but still highly entertaining.
Lucretia was just as surprised with the reaction, Lafra wasn't violent, unlike her. Lucretia preferred to keep her silence when these two had a go at each other, for now, she'd leave the playing to Zane and give whatever she needed to if she had to.

Lafra watched his hand crawl over her book, chewing down on her lip, she slammed her book shut on his hand gruffly, turning towards him, now the sweet look was replaced by a glare.
"Who said I wouldn't want to get sucked in, I'd rather be killed by a Greek or Trojan than endure another day around you." he never seemed to get it, she was sick of his games, now the only response she would give him was the straight one, no more messages hidden in her words.
"Hypocrite." she managed to mutter under her breath only for herself to hear.
