He stood up, leaving her alone would be better, teasing her too much would mean that he would be sent to the hospital wing, he just got here, it's the last thing he wanted, start with a bad reputation.
"Aw, you wounded me Lafra, fine I'll let you win this time." turning to Lucretia, he pulled out a pack of fluxweed, popping one into his mouth he lit it up, knowing it would tempt both girls, he remembered that both had stopped.
Throwing the pack to Lucretia, he knew she wouldn't refuse... she never did before.

Catching the pack she raised one brow, he shoudl know that she quit, but the smell of smoke entered her lungs. Pulling one out she glared at the little roll, it wasn't really good for her, but it was just mint.
"Jerk." she muttered again before placing it in between her lips, using her wand to light it up, the nostalgic feeling washed over her. Not long ago, when things were less complex, she could just sit back and smoke it with Zane, and even that time she was able to occasionally see Lafra, her parents did have to hold up the reputation of still being a powerful family.
Glaring at Zane and taking a long drag, she pulled it from her lips, she knew she'd regret this, but just one wouldn't be so bad. Lucretia threw it beside Lafra, wondering if she would take it, she highly doubted it.

She didn't notice what they were doing until the powerful smell reached her nose, her nose immediately scrunched up in disgust. Turning her head to the grass beside her, she noticed the pack and had half a mind to throw it back.
"You realize that fluxweed in endangered... you two are selfish." she placed it back down, but her eyes darted back and forth between the book and temptation, it didn't help how strong the smell was getting.
Standing up with her book, she knew what she had to do, she would return to the castle and stay in her dorm, she didn't need to see these two. Turning towards the castle, she did her best to ignore the two.

He grinned turning to Lucretia, it was easy to get her to cave in, but it was Lafra that was hard to influence. Extending a hand, he grabbed her arm gently, but enough to keep her from leaving.
"You don't want to play anymore? The game is boring without a vittima." his lips curled, would she understand, well it was obvious enough what it meant, it was her reaction however that he was looking forward to. Would she finally realize that he wouldn't stop until she obliged?

After another tow drags, she realized that if she took anymore she'd be hooked again, throwing it on the ground she made sure to put it out with the toe of her shoes. Licking her lips, her eyes darted from one to the other, this would be interesting to watch. keeping her silence, she watched with narrowed eyes.

That was it, she had it with Zane. The arm he grabbed was the one with the book, that left her other arm free, her wand arm. Pulling it out she pointed it at his throat.
"Cross me again Zane, and I'll show you who the victim is in this little game of yours." ripping her arm free, she continued her way towards the castle, she could look for Vincent later, right now she just wanted a moment of peace... and sometime to read.

Ok that wasn't expected, taking a step back, he let her leave this time, he knew her limits, and she seemed to reach the end. Watching her leave he turned to Storm a wild grin on his lips.
"It's for those reasons I wonder why I was stupid enough to let her go." he walked over closer to Storm, he caught her amused look and glared, she was supposed to be on his side, not mocking him.
"It's not that funny." he muttered darkly, watching the disappearing form of Lafra. Turning back to Storm he gave her a dark glare as well, throwing the lit fluxweed, he stomped on it gruffly before crossing his arms and leaning against the opposite tree.

"She let you go, remember?" Lucretia answered, she watched the disappearing figure of her cousin. The amused look left and was replaced by a dark one, Zane had made lot's of mistakes, and the one he made with Lafra was probably the worst.
"She's never let a guy lay a finger on her, she's afraid to get close to any guy, I mean... after she caught you with another girl... I wouldn't be surprised either." rolling her eyes at Zane she sat down on the grass, not realizing how dark ti was getting outside.
"No it's not, she's not usually like that. Usually she just... ignores everything, never reacts to it that way." Lucretia rubbed at her temples.
"Well she's been gone for a really long time, and i didn't know she was back till today. It doesn't help she's on edge because of my parents. Funny how our 'reunion' worked out." she sighed looking up at the looming figure of Zane, was he always this tall? Shrugging it off she picked up a piece of grass, one of the few that wasn't burnt by the snow, it was odd how something so bright could be among the rest of the yellow and pale grass blades. twirling the blade in her fingers absentmindedly, she wondered what it was that made Lafra... change so much.

Yes he did remember, but he didn't want to talk about it. What was done was done, bringing back old memories just wasn't... pleasing to think of, but if she would just have given it a chance once, maybe he wouldn't have had to turn to other willing girls as a last resort.
"I've noticed, if your parents are here... then wouldn't she feel more protected, your parents always seemed so fond of her at balls." Zane didn't know it was all just a cover up, nor did he understand the danger Lafra was in.

"You answered your own question darling, they seemed fond of her... doesn't mean they were." she paused, if she had to explain everything, well then she couldn't deprive Zane of his right of knowing, it affected his family as well.
"Her parents refused to take sides in the war, and my father being the favored brother told her father that they would be shunned of the right of being a Seyrrou. But then father realized that this would make out families appearance look bad. Your parents know they're part of the cover up." she shrugged, trying to make it seem as casual as possible.
"My parents would want her dead, knowing that she, being the daughter of the elder brother, would get most of the Seyrrou wealth more than me. That just pisses my parents off and so they’ll make her death seem accidental.” She shook her head, knowing what he would ask before he even did.
“I want nothing to do with it, I don’t want to see her dead or hurt, I want to protect her.” Lucretia curled up, resting her chin on he knees.

His features darkened, he wouldn't allow that, he may have screwed up any chanced he had with Lafra, but he wasn't going to screw up as a friend. Turning his back, he raised a hand.
"I'll see you later love, I've got owls to send." without another word he also walked towards the castle, his expression freighting, he knew he wouldn't be able to do crap about the Seyrrou's, but he coudl influence his parents at least.

Lucretia watched him leave. Running a hand through her hair, she leaned back against the tree; it’s been… quite a week so far, not only hectic, but filled with coincidences… and fear. Fear was probably the most prominent feeling she felt at this time. She kept watching the place where Zane left; even after he disappeared her eyes were glued to the spot where he was moments ago.
Staying for another hour or so, she pushed off from the ground, dusting her robes off, she set off back toward her dorm room where she would sleep in and skip the next day if she had to… or she could just ignore everyone else and just roam Hogsmead.
