Storm was glad she was away from the lake as she didn't want to see puke. She almost felt sick herself, but the fresh air at the forest had calmed her down and she wasn't as angry as she was before. "Finally." muttered under her breath.

"They don't even serve booze at the club, she must have brought her own," Chase said to himself. He couldn't help another moment's thought about Vannah, but he'd done what he could, so he put it out of his mind. He had a perfectly willing, as well as sober girl next to him. And a debt of gratitude to that Hufflepuff for the current silence. If he hadn't come along, Chase would be stuck carting a drunk girl up to the hospital, and he'd probably have been hexed a couple more times for his trouble.

Storm smiled at Chase and nodded. “She probably did, but that must mean the owner must be really stupid or dense.” She said rolling her eyes. She walked towards a tree and sat on the floor looking up in the stars. “So what were we talking about before being rudely interrupted?” she said completely forgetting because of the whole mishap.

Chase had to think a moment, but when he remembered, his lips curved into a wicked grin. "Hunting," he answered. Chase sat down next to Storm, stretching long legs out in front of him. "You were about to tell me what you do for fun."

She slowly rolled her eyes. “Whatever I said before about you changed because you’re officially bland.” She said referring to the fact that he enjoyed hunting. “Honestly I haven’t been able to do much anymore, but my friend had this weird game where they led guys on and then lured them into this place in the forest and abandoned them there.” She said frowning. “I found it boring so I don’t even know where the place is.” She said grumpily.

Well, at least he knew she couldn't do that to him. If she left him in the forest, he'd find his way out no problem. If he didn't have a conscience, he'd have done it to her just to teach her a lesson. A Slytherin with a conscience, what's next?

Storm rolled her eyes again. “Honestly with you around my eyes have a tendency of rolling to the back of my head alot.” She said with a soft laugh. “Ah come on I wouldn’t do that even if my life depended on it, it’s shallow.” She said leaning closer to him trying to read his expression.

Chase took Storm at her word, since there wasn't any reason not to. He went back to her comment about constantly rolling eyes, and smiled at the fact that he'd made her laugh, if only a little. "You should laugh more often," he said. He reached up and smoothed a finger against her jawline. "It makes your eyes light up." And it reminded him that she wasn't a ghost, but a warm, living girl.

Storm let out a false gasp and leaned even closer this time her eyes mocking him “Was that a compliment Firebrand? Are you turning soft on me?” she asked him a laugh almost escaping her lips again.

Chase grinned. "It wasn't a compliment, it was an observation," he lied. He could see the laughter in her eyes, even if it didn't curve her lips. His gaze flickered to her lips at the thought. "Is laughter a weakness?" he asked. He didn't think so, but so many Slytherins seemed to think it was, if the laughter wasn't over someone else's misery.

Storm raised a brow at his question and thought about her response.
“No I don’t think so.” She said her lips turning to a frown.
“Weakness comes in many forms I think that someone who is reserved, isolated, and alone is weaker, because then they live in fear, the sort of fear as to not letting anyone in.” she herself said this form experience and sighed.
“But when you laugh you seem more open, I think your right I should laugh more often, and you should open up a bit more although I’m not complaining.”

Chase gave a self-deprecating smile. He felt like a bit of a hypocrite at the moment, giving Storm advice about opening up when he kept himself so closed off. "I wouldn't know how to open up if I wanted to," he confessed. And I don't want to. You let people in and they can hurt you. He didn't appreciate the irony. He wanted others to let him in, but didn't want to give himself.

She shook her head and raised her knees to her chest resting her head on them
“It’s not a matter of if you can or can’t it’s more of if you want to do it at all.” she said firmly.
“It is painful, fearing that one second your close to someone the next thing you know they’ve pulled out their wand on you throwing every curse they can think of, but it’s actually worth it.” She said looking into his eyes not breaking contact with him her voice softening.
“Because then you feel like you actually mean something to someone whether it be that they love you or despise you, and I rather be hated then not thought of at all, I want to actually be in the memories of someone.” ((I gtg now ill continue with you tomorrow I’m exhausted bye bye))

((good night!))
Chase nodded. He looked out into the forest, as though he might suddenly be able to see something through the darkness. Was there anyone he meant anything to? Anyone who'd shed a tear, or maybe give a smirk if he dropped off the face of the earth? He didn't think so, and it was humbling. "Does anyone love you?" Chase wondered out loud. He wasn't sure if he was asking himself, or Storm, but the words were there all the same.

Storm looked intently upon his face studying his features.
"I don't think so." she said turning away.
"My parents probably don't care what happens to me, they just use me as a puppet, I'm sure they would be glad to get rid of me as soon as I'm of age, and I'll be happy to oblige to that, I wouldn't be surprised if my parents already found someone that I should marry so I wont be much of a burden." She said her fist balled up at her sides.
“When I think about it I envy others because they have parental love, I would like to experience that once even if it isn’t my own mother.”
"But I will find someone who will remember me, even if it's someone who will dance around my grave happy I’m gone, and then I can truly feel significant." She relaxed at the thought and turned towards him.
“I’m boring you aren’t I?” she asked sheepishly.
