"Here, try again," Ariel said, showing Markise the correct wand movement again and repeating the spell. "And if you don't pronounce it just right in your head, it won't work, that's the hardest part." He demonstrated it again, resulting in another little spray of dirt from the ground, and looked back at Markise, watching his wand to make sure he did the right movements. Or at least he tried, he couldn't help looking up at Markise's face, though he had only seen him once with all of that make up, Ariel still found it strange to see him with so little.

Markise had watched more carefully this time, and he thought he could get it, but he felt Ariel looking at him again. His tongue swept briefly over his lips and he braced himself, then moved his wand arm, purposefully missing the movement. "I just can't seem to get it," he said, looking up at Ariel again. "Maybe you should help me, just once so I get what I'm missing."

Ariel eyed Markise for a second or two, something telling him that that wasn't entirely accidental. But he didn't really care, or maybe just didn't want to care, and stepped around behind Markise. That was a bad idea, he quickly realized, as his mind started filling in details that definitely weren't appropriate for their public setting. He took a breath and changed his wand to his other hand, focusing on Markise's hand and wand as he took it. "It's just this," he said, moving Markise's hand in the simple pattern.

Markise didn't breathe while Ariel's hand was wrapped around his, or if he did, he wasn't aware of it. He was aware of attraction like he hadn't felt since Kwami, of the heat of Ariel's body behind his, and the leashed power in Ariel's hand. Markise didn't let himself step back, didn't let himself shift his weight and accidentally brush the side of his body against Ariel's outstretched arm. He only took over the motion when Ariel had finished, miraculously managing a smooth motion of his wand and a puff of dirt. Markise turned his head, looking up at Ariel. "You're such a good teacher," he said softly, letting his lips curve just a bit.

Ariel pulled away before his temptation could get away with him at the way Markise looked up at him. He tucked his wand back in its sheath and then stood, shrugging. "It's a simple spell once you get the hang of it. And I've been using it for years." Then he let his hands settle on his belt again and began unlatching it, "Now, if you don't mind, I think I'm going to swim." It was what he had originally planned to do, but it was also a way to distract himself from those annoying little images flashing through his mind.

Markise's mind hadn't shifted yet when he caught the motion of Ariel's hands at his waist. His eyes widened slightly, then brightened, hazed, just a bit before enough of his mind heard Ariel's last statement and he dragged his gaze away. Markise nodded, unable to say anything just now, and forced himself to breathe. He'd only just met Ariel, and already he was having paroxysms because...Ariel had been standing behind him, opening his pants. It was all Markise could do to stay upright.

Ariel pushed off his shoes as his hands worked on his belt and pants, his head down slightly once he had seen the nod from Markise. After his pants were off and he reached down to pull off his socks, he looked back up at Markise. "You said your school was by a beach, do you swim?" he asked, tucking the socks into his shoes and folding up his pants, belt included, to lay on top. He didn't give much thought to the fact that he was standing in just a shirt and a deep red, tight swim suit in front of Markise.

Markise wasn't able to form an aswer right away. He was too busy thinking how much more muscular Ariel was than Kwami, then dismissing Kwami from his mind entirely. Ariel's legs were so well-built, a benefit of years of swimming, Markise was sure, and that suit just accentuated, drew attention... Markise looked away quickly, hoping Ariel hadn't seen him practically drooling, and nodded.
"Yeah, I swim," he said, then licked his lips. He only had underwear on under his pants, but that'd have to be enough, and they weren't a whole lot showier than Ariel's swimsuit. Besides, Ariel was more or less inviting him to swim, and he had to know Markise wasn't wearing a swimsuit. Markise took a long breath, then kicked off his shoes and started undressing, his heart pounding furiously as he did so.

Ariel dropped his folded pants on top of his shoes and then reached for the hem of his shirt with both hands, pausing momentarily as his eyes were caught by Markise. Then he shook his head roughly and pulled his shirt up over his head, then set to turning it right side out. He kept his eyes firmly on the cloth in his hands, with only the occasional glance up at Markise. His eyes hovered for a second just before he started to fold his shirt, and they flicked up to Markise's face before focusing once more on the shirt in his hands.

Markise got his pants off without issue and folded them up, setting them aside in a neat stack on top of his shoes. Then he looked up at Ariel to see that he'd taken his shirt off as well. Markise's breath caught again, and his eyes did one reflexive sweep before tearing away. Now was not a good time to get excited, even if that glimpse had assured him that Ariel's body was, in addition to being perfectly formed, smooth from his cut jawline down to his toes.
Markise had to take a couple breaths before deciding his own shirt would have to go as well. It'd get ruined in lake water. Oh my God, you're going swimming in a lake, he thought. There are like, fish in there! It was going to be entirely different from the ocean, where all the fish were out a hell of a lot further than he'd gone. Markise focused on that as he pulled his shirt off over his head and began folding it, his pale body just as smooth as Ariel's, and softly glowing from his religious application of his favorite lotion.

Ariel dropped his shirt on top of his pants and glanced over at Markise, eyes pausing on his smooth stomach before he turned to walk slowly towards the water, bringing his hands up to his hair as he walked. He ran his fingers through, untangling wisps from the hemp necklace he was wearing, and wrapped the elastic band from his wrist around it tightly, if a bit messily. He glanced over his shoulder at Markise one more time before stepping in the water, goosebumps immediately skating over his skin from the chilly water.

Markise had looked up at the sound of the water moving, and his eyes caught on that tattoo that Ariel had mentioned. His tongue swept briefly over his lips, then he turned to set his shirt on top of his pants. He hoped the water was cold, because at the moment, he was beginning to think he'd need it. Markise headed for the water, dipping a foot in at the edge, but it didn't feel much colder than the ocean. Still, he figured it would work. If he could make himself go in. It was going to be hell on his hair if he got it wet, so he'd just have to keep his head above water, not an easy thing to forget. It was so much different than the beach, dirt under his feet instead of sand, gently lapping water rather than foaming waves. And Ariel. Markise looked up at him, highly aware of himself in his fashionably skimpy underwear and nothing else, then took a deep breath and ran into the water with a long splash.

Ariel cringed away from the splashes of water that hit him as Markise ran by, and his skin shivered again. Water wasn't supposed to be cold, except in morning showers, and even then he would usually turn it up after only a few minutes. When he was out a little over waist deep, running his hands over his goosebump-covered arms, he glanced over at Markise, then took a deep breath and dove under.

The water was cold, but it was distracting, and so Markise went with it, appreciating the distraction from his uncontrollable thoughts. He couldn't stop thinking about Ariel, couldn't stop wondering about that moment when he'd pulled away and started unbuckling his pants. He couldn't stop thinking about that glimpse of his smooth, athletic body. Markise let himself sink down until only his head was above water, letting the cold do its work, then treaded water and looked around for Ariel.

Ariel came up long seconds later, though not nearly as long as he was used to being able to stay under, a few yards farther out into the water. He took in a deep breath of the warm air and blinked the water from his eyes, then treaded water as he looked around, trying to spot Markise. Then he raised an eyebrow and called over to him, "That's not swimming, I hate to tell you." He turned and started in on an easy, powerful backstroke to bring him towards Markise. An image came to his mind then, of Markise going under, coming back up with his hair dripping around his shoulders... Ariel did a flip in the water to stop himself, not strictly necessary, but the cold water around his head was enough to clear his mind before he came back up again.
