In The Owlery (Violet/Gwen) (Closed)

[Violet X. Rays]

Violet walked next to Gwen as they made their way through the slush up to the Owlery together. Violet briefly wondered why this girl was being so nice to her.

Gwen was whistling a tune as they climbed the steps. It would be a long fall if one should trip Gwen thought.
They entered the owlery then. The screetching birds were flocking around without a care in the world. Nero landed on her shoulder happier than ever to see her.
"Hey there Nero, Sorry I haven't come to visit more often school and all you know. How's it been?"
Nero hooted and spread his wings.
"Hmm, so I guess you didn't mind me not visiting. So you up for a job or shall I grab a school owl?"
Nero nipped her ear.
"Okay then, this ones to mum you know where she is, and this one may be a doosey its to dad, Think he's in Iceland or something I'm sorry I can't tell you more."
Nero hooted again then took off quickly out the window

Violet watched Gwen talk to her owl, Nero, and smiled. She looked up and saw Aphrodite sleeping on a perch. She climbed up the steps and reached the sleeping owl. She pulled out some Owl treats from her pocket, and stage whispered to Aphrodite. "Wake up, Aphrodite. I have food." The owl lifted her head and looked at Violet groggily. She reached her head out and snatched up the treats in Violet's outstretched hand. "Hey Aphrodite. Good morning. I've got a job for you. Kind of a long flight, but it's only to one place; back home. This one's for Mum," Violet said softly, attaching her mother's short letter to one of the birds legs. "And this one's for Dad," She said, attaching the second letter to the owl's other leg. "When you get back, I'll be sure to have lots of yummy food for you."
Violet picked up the bird, and released her out of one of the windows.

"I love the owlery, good place to look out at Hogwarts, sure it takes forever to get up here but the view is amazing. Sometimes I come up here just for the view well that and Nero. I haven't been up for a while though, to many classes and homework."
Gwen said Calmly then she turned her attention away from the view towards Violet.
"Aphrodite seems like a nice strong owl, Nero's kind of small but he gets things done"

"Yea, Aphrodite's a good bird. She isn't annoying when it comes to talking. She's not too friendly towards anyone but me and my dad. But when it comes to me and my dad, she's quite loyal and very playful.," Violet replied comfortably. "She isn't a very fast flier, but she's certainly a good bird."

"I bet she can carrying lots of things too, Nero's got a limit so mum sends me things with her bird. Sometimes just for fun I like to send things through muggle post"
Gwen chuckled she breathed in the air it was cold but comforting the sun grazing high in the sky as her peers below were wandering the ground. She could see the care of magical creatures teacher working in the woods

Violet laughed. "My parents are amazed with owl post, so they like to do things that way. Yeah, one time Mum sent me a huge 'care package' and used Aphrodite. Well, Aphrodite nearly bit her finger off, so now Mum lets Dad deal with her. I thought it was the funniest thing in the world when Dad wrote me and told me about it," Violet responded, remembering.

Gwen laughed at Violets tale "You know owl bites aren't that bad, you get used to them after a while but then again your owl's much bigger than Nero"
Gwen sat on one of the steps, her favorite step because it had the best view, she figured that this would be a perfect hiding place from the teachers if she were to sneak out

Violet sat, thinking about when the next Hogsmeade trip would be. "OH!" She exclaimed suddenly. "Gwen, do you know what time it is?"

Gwen looked at her watch and frowned "It's about 10:30" she said. Violet seemed flustered, Gwen assumed she had to be somewhere soon. In fact Gwen had planned to spend her saturday studying by the lake, she really had no time for anything other than homework these days. It had been a good distraction from it talking to Violet.
"Late for something?" she asked.

"There's a Hogsmeade trip today leaving in fifteen minutes. I've got to do my Christmas shopping. Care to join me?" Violet said hurriedly. It would take fifteen minutes to get back to the Castle from the Owlery, let alone rush up to Ravenclaw tower to get her money.

Gwen frowned again. "I can't, I would like to believe me I'd rather go to Hogsmeade than do homework all day but I really have to get it done. Again I don't know how I got into Ravenclaw I'm not a very studious person." Gwen sighed it had been a nice little break from reality but she really did need to get her homework done before she failed some of her classes.
"It's weird though, we've lived together for two years and this is the most we talked,"
Gwen smiled.
"It was nice talking to you either way. I'll see you later I guess I'll just hang up here for a bit before I have to trek back to the tower to grab my homework"

Violet frowned, dissapointed. Gwen did have a point, there was too much homework to think about Christmas shopping, but this was the last Hogsmeade trip before the holidays.
"Are you sure? I mean, I have homework too, but this is the last Hogsmeade trip before we return home. And we could always study together when we get back," Violet offered, hoping her expression didn't show how much she hoped Gwen would agree to go.

"I really shouldn't put it off though" Gwen said "It takes me awhile to finish" Then she had an idea, "We can always get into Hogsmeade, trip or no trip" She smiled mischieviously. Gwen had already gone Christmas Shopping earlier and she liked to head to the bustling streets of Bristol for her Christmas shopping.

Violet was perplexed. "The statue of the One-Eyed Witch?" She asked confusedly. She had heard tales about the statue of the One-Eyed Witch, and how she hid secret passage that led you straight into Hogsmeade, but Violet had never heard what the password was, and she thought Filch must already know about it. "You know the password?"
