"I fly a Silver Arrow. Yeah, I may look scrawny, but I'm stronger than everyone thinks. I'm a pretty decent Seeker too, but I prefer to knock people to the ground rather than go after something extremely hard to see," Violet responded, while proofreading her father's letter. Once the proofing was done, she moved on to her mother's letter. She started out with: "Dear Mom, How is everything at home? Everything's alright here. I can't wait to come home for Christmas holiday. How is everything at the factory?" But after that, she couldn't decide what to say. Her father's letter read: "Hey Dad, Everything here is amazing. I've discovered a new passageway that leads underground and out of the school to the small village near the Castle. I can't wait to tell you all about it when I come home for the Holidays. Do you know who's coming to pick me up at King's Cross? Or am I taking another train back to Sterling? I think you'll be glad to read this next part: I've made a new friend as of this morning. Her name is Gwen, and she's a Ravenclaw in my year. She lives in Bristol. We started talking this morning. How're Charlie and Crystal? Send my love to them. Anything new in the writing industry? Write me soon, and if you give Aphrodite a treat (a dog biscuit will do) then she will be a lot friendlier. Love you, Violet" "A Holocaust 200, eh? Good broom. Nice and sleek," Violet commented to Gwen.

"Silver arrows very top notch too, nice broom all around" Gwen said happily. It was almost 9 now. "Are you looking foward to the holidays? What do you plan on doing?" It was nearing Decemeber though no snow was on the ground yet it was still very much Autumn though it grew colder every day.

"Oh yeah definitely. I can't wait. I just hope there's a Hogsmeade weekend before we leave. I know my brother and sister would enjoy some Honeydukes and my brother will be totally stoked if I get him something from Zonko's. If we don't, maybe I could sneak away before getting on the train. And I'm sure my dad will enjoy a quill and some ink...." Violet trailed off, realizing she was babbling. She set her father's letter to the side, and scribbled a few last words to her mother. "Shall we go up to the Owlery soon?"

"Yeah sure, lets head up now, we've been in here all morning and I haven't seen Nero in a while...he might be a little peeved" Gwen smiled as she packed up some of the left over paper
