Silver nodded, bringing his gaze back to Dru. "I'll probably bring it back tomorrow," he said. "We could meet in the Common Room..." Silver realized what he'd just said, and everything he'd managed to stop thinking about came back in a rush. He dropped his gaze. "I'm sorry, I didn't mean..." What didn't he mean? Why was he backtracking? Last time he'd been holding back, but since then, he'd been told that he shouldn't. He'd been told that the best thing he could do was get Dru. There was nothing wrong with it, no reason he shouldn't... On impulse, Silver leaned toward Dru and pressed his lips to hers.

Dru had been confused, not really understanding why the idea of meeing in the Common Room was reason for apologizing, but before she could say or ask anything about it, Silver was kissing her. There was a moment of extreme shock where she didn't return it, though she didn't turn away, as all the thoughts that had pestered her since that day came back to her. Then she tilted her head into the kiss and, with the act, pushed away all of the negative thoughts.

Silver had felt Dru's shock, and for one painfully long moment, he'd thought that he'd gone too far, that he'd messed everything up again. Then she'd kissed him back, and his insecurities had melted away. He parted his lips, softly, trying to keep track of himself this time, trying not to lose control so easily. The last times they'd kissed, he'd lost his mind entirely, and though a large part of him craved it, there was still enough of him left at this point that he thought, somehow, that he might keep the ease between them even as they kissed. He didn't realize what a hopeless cause that was.

Dru, who was so used to the intensity of kissing Chase who, no matter when he had kissed her, had always been working towards a specific goal, reveled in the apparent ease of the kiss. It was so very different, but in a very good way. She enjoyed the slow kiss, and didn't let herself try to push it farther than it was, letting one hand stay down, but unable to stop the automatic motion of the other going up to trail along Silver's jawline before settling in the hair at the back of his head.

The kiss may have been slow, but for Silver, it was quickly becoming anything but easy. With his mind still working, he could feel everything, and though he wouldn't have described it as intense just yet, the tension in his muscles was growing steadily, and he knew he wouldn't be able to think much longer. While he still could, he echoed the motion of Dru's hand, bringing his own up to settle lightly against Dru's head, and marveling at the soft smoothness of her hair.

Dru's hand refused her orders to remain still, and moved through Silver's hair, running against his scalp then pulling away to find another area. She could feel the low rushing of her blood from the kiss which was pleasant instead of overpowering like she knew it could be, and she deepened the kiss slightly, wanting more, wanting to taste him, craving the tastes and textures that were still new to her.

Silver's brows knitted, that slight change affecting him more than he might have expected had things not gone hazy. Instinct was kicking in, and the softness began to fade, but there was no part of him that regretted it. Silver's hand firmed at the back of Dru's head, and his other hand, without any permission from him, shifted forward to rest lightly against Dru's, paused, then slid up her arm, taking in every sensation with the motion.

Though she missed the initial soft ease of the kiss, Dru wasn't going to deny the change or stop Silver from initiating it. She went along with it, shifting towards him and letting the hand in his hair tighten momentarily before moving again, down to his neck and under his hair, her fingers dipping up to the soft nape of his neck. Her own mind wasn't lost just yet, still awake enough to let her enjoy the new feel of his hands on her.

The feel of Dru's hand, as light as it might have been, was like a brand against his skin, sending heat spiking from that one spot through every connected vein. The kiss deepened again as Silver's hand found Dru's shoulder, then swept down her back, slowly, taking in every sleek line so different from his own body, so infinitely attractive. A very small part of his mind still worked, still absorbed everything about the kiss, but everything else cried out for more, cried out to let go.

The hand in the grass at her side moved, on to Silver's side where it took in the strange new feel, subconsciously comparing, though Dru never would have done so in her conscious mind, not knowing how badly it had hurt her to think that she could have been compared to others. His hand moving on her back sent shivers up her spine which spread out to her arms, the slow movement making her tense in anticipation.

He was dreaming again, that had to be it. The taste of her kiss was too vivid to be real, the feel of her too blissfully good for him to possibly deserve. His touch was slow, worshipful as it had been at the masquerade. This was too precious, too completely beyond anything he knew, still far too new to him to be taken for granted. The tension was growing, tightening within him, and it felt so unbelievably good that he prayed it wouldn't end.

Dru didn't think she was dreaming, she knew that everything was all too real, but a thought was slowly coming into her mind. This was what she had been missing, the freedom to kiss someone without the knowledge that it would lead to more, and it was taking someone new entering her life to realize how stuck in a rut she had been with Chase. Somehwere, deep in her mind, she was concentrating on all of that, and trying to think of a way to pull completely away from Chase, so that she could have that freedom with Silver.

Silver was lost now, nothing left of the world but this kiss and the feel of a slender female form against his palm. He shifted closer to her, needing more, needing to feel her against him the way he had in the Common Room, the way he had at the masquerade. He hadn't lost control this time somehow, and he didn't know why. Part of him wanted that loss, but he couldn't let go.

Suddenly there was a feeling as though everything had clicked into place, that everything had somehow worked itself out and her mind was clear to completely give herself to the kiss. The change showed, in how easily she leaned into him and how her hand trailed farther around his back as she pulled herself closer, pressing herself lightly against him.

A low sound rumbled deep in Silver's chest at that contact, and his brows knitted again. It was all he'd needed to begin to fracture his control, to shift pleasure into something he needed. His kiss deepened, and he wasn't himself anymore, but that physical being that didn't need to know what to do, because it all came naturally. Silver's hand tilted Dru farther into the kiss even as he pulled her closer, dangerously close, with no further thought toward what might happen next.
