Ryan felt their legs brush together but ignored it "Her name is Gabby. She is in Gryfindor. We were engaged and I left her for Vannah."

That made Cleo shut up. she looked at him incredulously. "You were engaged then you left her?" she asked, disbelief etched on her face. She ran a hand through her curls, wonderin what to make of him now. "Maybe it's a good thing you're taken" she mutted under her breath, looking past him, to the lake beyond.

Ryan sighed and nodded "I am lucky to not be dead, even though I should be."

[Cleo Frost]

Cleo looked back at him, raising one eye brow. "Gabby must have been special, for you to propose, but then to leave her for Vannah? What's so special about her?" she asked curiously. She felt Ryan deserved a little lesson when it came to handling women, he didn't seem to be so great at him. She smiled at him, her dark eyes sparkling. "You know what, don't worry. If you want to be with Vannah, then it's not really any of my business" she said softly, biting her lip as if she had said the wrong thing before when she had questioned him.

Ryan looked at her "The only thing I have wanted for a long time was to be with Vannah. I was with her, and loved her alot. And then something bad happened and we fell apart. The reason I left Gabby was because Vannah was finally wanting me back, and I knew that if I tried to stay with Gabby I would hurt her alot worse than if I just left her."

[Cleo Frost]

"Then you shouldn't have started dating Gabby in the first place" she retorted, she didn't know who Gabby was, and she only barely knew Vannah, but she didn't like girls being treated unfairly and so would often stick up for total strangers. She sighed and dove underwater, trying to cool off, she didn't want to start a fight with Ryan, she had only just arrived.

Ryan sighed "I was trying to move on. It looked like Vannah didn't want to be with me anymore, so I needed to move on."

[Cleo Frost]

"Guys always have excuses" Cleo muttered, not able to stop herself. She sighed and looked at Ryan. "I'm sorry, I shouldn't say anything, I don't know what happened so..." she trailed off and shrugged helplessly.

Ryan looked at her "It's ok. I have been stupid so I deserve whatever you might say."

[Cleo Frost]

Cleo smiled at him, her eyes sparkling as her body language suggested flirtation. "So now that I have said what I can on the subject. Maybe you deserve something for being cute" she said, smiling sweetly. She knew that she was playing a dangerous game here, but whether he accepted or back off, it didn't make much difference to Cleo, she was just having fun.

Ryan looked at her "And what would that be." he needed to be careful, but he had never been in the past.

Cleo decided that instead of telling Ryan, she would show him. Without hesitation she pressed her lips to his lightly. Letting them linger for only a moment she pulled away, and after flashing a grin at him dove underwater and away, knowing that her disappearance would leave him wondering about what had happened a lot more than had she stuck around.

Ryan wasn't too suprised by the kiss and knew that he should just leave it at that but didn't know if he could as he looked around for Cleo.

Cleo surfaced unobtrusivly and grinned to herself as she saw Ryan searching for her. She knew she had broken her cardinal rule of not getting involved with taken guys, but she wasn't that attracted to Ryan and she had never denied herself a bit of fun. She turned onto her back and swam past leisurely, her toned, golden stomach exposed to Ryan and the warm air. She had her eyes closed and acted as if she wasn't even aware of Ryan's existence.

Ryan watched her float by and decided to be a little more innocent and tickled her stomach as she passed by.
