Cassie entered the cafe and sat down at her usual table as she waited for Dee to arrive. She had owled her earlier, asking her to meet her so she expected her any minute. She sighed, a little anxious about what was going to be said, but she knew that they would have to talk about it sooner or later.

Kadie seriously had never been this happy before. She was sort of concerned about talking to Cassie about the whole thing. But hey, Cassie had been there for her through everything, so she decided not to worry over-much about it. She got to the cafe and smiled and waved at her friend as she walked over.
She slid into the seat opposite Cassie at their usual table.
"Hey," she said cheerfully.

Cassie smiled, what had she been worrying about? It was Dee she was talking about after all, she had known her since before she could remember and they were like sisters, always there for each other. "Hey Dee, how's it going?" she asked, as she signalled the waitress.

"It's going good," she responded with a smile.
"How are you? I heard about the whole sacking thing, are you okay?" she asked with concern. She didn't ever really listen to gossip, but since the whole sacking thing was pretty much about her friend, she hadn't been able to help overhearing, and had felt concern for her friend. She'd even told off some of the students that had been talking about it. And usually, when the Snow Queen told someone off, they listened. Even though she really wasn't the Snow Queen anymore, she could still be scary when she wanted to be.

Cassie nodded. "Yeah I'm fine, apparently Hells contacted my parents, but I haven't heard anything yet. We're going to work something out, I'm not going to give him up Dee." The last sentence was said with quiet determination, she looked up at Dee, silently asking her if she thought she was doing the wrong thing. She ordered a cappuccino and a slice of cheesecake. "So I guess it's Jacob who has made this happen?" she asked, knowing Dee would know what 'this' was.

"Good. You shouldn't give him up if he's what makes you happy," she agreed with a nod. She ordered just plain black coffee. She was weird that way. She didn't like adding a bunch of stuff to coffee, she thought that it ruined it. She was a huge coffee addict. She was def not a morning person, but one sip of coffee, and she could be quite cheerful.
At the question, she merely shrugged with a smile before responding.
"Well, partly. I've been the Snow Queen for so long, simply because I didn't want to deal with all the crap that happened to me. He helped make me realize that hiding my pain away behind a mask just didn't work. And, it really didn't. So I'm still working on my issues, but I'm more happy now, so I should be okay," she admitted.

Cassie nodded, listening intently. She smiled as their coffee and her cheesecake was brought over. "I'm glad hun, even if it is Jacob" she took a bite off her cheesecake and grinned. "One bite and you're in heaven" she said, it was chocolate orange flavour, one of her favourite.

Kadie laughed at Cassie's words.
"I'm glad too. And it's crazy cause at first I really wanted to hex him or something. He can be pretty annoying since he's so persistent. But, he was right," she replied. She smiled as Cassie took a bite of her cheesecake. She'd never been a huge fan of cheesecake for some reason.
"I'll take your word for it," she replied with a laugh.

Cassie laughed, not even commenting at Kadie for sneaking a bite. She nodded in agreement. "I know what you mean, when I first met him though he was so painfully shy." she said, sipping her coffee. "You know that at college I had no idea about guys, I seem to have learnt a lot in a short space of time." she said, knowing that Dee would get her. She didn't even really have to say it for Dee to understand.

Kadie quirked her eyebrows.
"He was only shy for about a second with me before he became charmingly annoying," she replied with a laugh.
She nodded at Cassie's next comments.
"Yeah, I know what you mean," she said with a nod. Her only real boyfriend had been Justin, and before that she'd just messed around with guys. But Justin had not been a good example of what guys should really act like.

"He stuttered for the first half hour" she said lightly, sipping her coffe as she watched Dee. "He only stopped after I had kissed him" she said, throwing that topic into the conversation. She took another bite of her cheesecake, waiting to see what Dee would say to that.

She shrugged, not reacting to Cassie's words at all.
"Well, he only stuttered at first with me. Then I told him I was the Snow Queen and it seemed to amuse him. So, it relaxed him completely. Usually when I tell guys I'm the Snow Queen, they're afraid I'm gonna rip their nipples off or something so they run in the other direction," she said laughing.
"But, he didn't. I guess I have to give him credit for that," she added.

Cassie laughed despite herself. "The boys were always confused by us" she said casually. "I suppose so. I was supposed to meet him on the night I met Julius you know." she said quietly, looking up at Dee.

"You were?" she asked.
"Is that why he got so mad at you? Is because you were with Julius when you were supposed to be with him?" she asked curiously. She didn't care much anymore about Jacob and Cassie's relationship. It was in the past. But she did care about both Cassie and Jacob, a lot.

Cassie nodded, feeling pretty ashamed. "It was on the night we were supposed to meet for our frst date. Then a few days later when I saw him I apologised, I said I had been ill and I tried to make it up to him. We went to the Room of Requirment, things started out great, we were chatting and really getting to know each other. Then he got a little closer and started kissing me. There was just something about him that irritated me, that rubbed me the wrong way." She sighed, when she said it like this, it wasn't really Jacob's fault at all, but she knew there was no point trying to hide anything from Kadie. "I said he didn't have to be so worried about me, that I was the older one who should know when it's too much, he got angry and started being pretty rough with me. It scared me" she admitted before continuing. "I pushed him off me, and I left, after slapping him." She finsihed, sighing heavily. "So now you know" she said softly.
