Ryan looked up and saw Vannah standing there and was a little more heartbroken inside as he saw the look on her face.

Vannah didn't move. She blocked Gabby from her thoughts completely and just stared at Ryan. What could she do? What could she say? She saw his face register her expression. Her eyes were locked and she couldn't look away. She felt numb for the most part at the moment. She was afraid if she moved or looked away, the numbness would go away.

Ryan looked at her as he tried to hold back tears, not knowing what he could say without setting Gabby off.

Say something, dammit! Vannah shouted in her head. She desperately wished he weren't in this position. That they were still both back at the lake. Undisrupted, just them. Vannah crossed her arms and raised an eyebrow. She would not be the first to speak.

Ryan couldn't say anything but he mouthed "Im sorry" to vannah to where Gabby couldn't see.

Vannah looked down and shook her head. She turned sharply to leave, but bumped into Larten. Vannah muttered an apology and took off towards the forest. She couldn't be there, she had to get out.

Gabby saw the looks that passed between them, but she felt frozen and words wouldn't come. As Vannah left she breathed out, only just realising she had been holding her breath. The look Ryan had given Vannah had wounded her to the core. She found tears running down her cheeks and she started to sob. She turned to Ryan, seeking comfort. She was so confused, she knew Ryan was the source of the pain and yet he was also the best comfoter for Gabby.

Ryan looked at gabby and reached up and wiped the tears from her eyes but winced in pain as he did so.

Larten looked at Gabby and Ryan and then looked at the ground. He sighed and followed Vannah .

Gabby's tears lessened a little and she looked up. Seeing they had gone she looked at Ryan. Although her earlier anger had gone, she could still feel it. "Ryan. What's going on?" she asked simply. She need to know, and she expected an answer, however upset he was.

Just at those words Gabby could feel her anger bubbling up inside. But she forced it down, she needed to keep a level head if she was going to get answers. "You didn't seem to dislike the idea earlier when you had your tongue down her throat" Gabby said blandly. Just the idea of it made her want to curl up and block out the world, but she steeled herself against it.

Gabby couldn't help herself and let out a bitter laugh. "Screwed up is probably the understatement of the year Ryan" she said dryly. "Let's see" she started. "You went out with Vannah." she said, ticking it off her fingers and doing the same for the rest. "You split up with Vannah. We started going out. I had a few fights with Vannah, when on several occassions she tried to kill me. You proposed to me and promised you'd marry me. You cheated on me with Vannah. More than once" as she said the last thing she looked at Ryan. Gabby wasn't stupid, she knew that Ryan had met Vannah before and that something had happened, she had even heard rumours about the ball. But she had always turned a blind eye before becase she had hoped that once they were married he would settle. "Now from where I'm sitting it doesn't sound too good for you" Gabby said, her voice a little sharp.
