Angel slipped out to the gardens. There was a light breeze on her face and it felt calming. She walked over to the edge of the garden where a small stone border was and leaned on it. Her soft skin shimmered in the moonlight. The gardens seemed to be cooler than inside and she was grateful for that.  |

The One and Only walked out into the garden and saw a girl sitting down and decided to go talk to her. He walked up to her and looked at the sky "Now why would any girl be alone out here and not dancing?"

The Angel turned her head sharply. The voice had surprised her when it pulled her out of her own mind's thoughts. She smiled sweetly. "I could ask you the same thing." She responded, her voice light. The Angel studied him hoping for any clue as to who he may be. "I just needed to get out of there for a moment." She admitted a nod. "What are you doing out here?"

The One and Only smiled "I not really a dancing person, so I am staying out here mostly" he said as he looked at the girl trying to figure out who it was.

The Angel nodded. She was different. She loved dancing. Swaying her hips and moving with the music as if it were a part of her. She stood up straight and smoothed out the bell of her long dress. "May I have a name?" She asked politely. She took a step closer to where he was and away from the border.

The Angel smiled. "Tonight I will be known as Angel." She replied. Her smile was sweet and innocent. It was bright and beautiful. "I'm sure you're excited about this ball as everyone else is? It was all anyone could talk about earlier in the Common Room."

The One and Only smiled and shrugged "Eh Im kind of so so on this. I thought I would make an appearance though and see all the costumes and try to figure out people's disguises."

The Angel grinned. "Oh, really? And have you figured mine out?" She asked curiously. She had chosen her costume carefully. Her creme gown fit her smooth curves perfectly, but was just innocent enough. Two small glimmering wings shined through the night and her hair had been done carefully. The most magnificent, however was her mask. It was pearled and sprouted a few ivory feathers around her right eye. Her eyes glowed green behind them. The whole process was all very time-consuming.

He smiled as he looked her up and down "Nope not yet. Have you figured me out?" he asked. He was dressed in a long black cloak with little markings on it. His mask fully covered his face and was black and white.

The Angel shook her head. "Not yet." She agreed. The Angel looped her arm with his and began to slowly walk around the garden with him. She was getting restless staying in one place. "You came here alone?" She asked noticing no one was with him then.

He walked with her and looked at her "Yes I did, and I am guessing you did too?"

"Of course." She replied. This was no night to be tied down by a lousy date. She walked gracefully on the stone walkway barely making a sound. By some miracle even her breathing was light and even with her overly tight corset. They were coming up to a clearing. Music flowed through the air softly.

"Yes, it is." The angel replied softly. She slowed down as the entered the clearing. Her arm slipped away from his and she kept her hand on his. "We could dance if you want." She suggested. "There's no one else, but us." The sweet music danced around her.
