Cassie nodded, considering what he had said for a moment. She turned to look at him, smiling as the sunlight caught in her hair. "Sometimes abstract is good, you carry the emotion and tone you want, but you don't get tied down by what words to use and a structure" Cassie said, wondering if that sounded write as she was no writer. "Plus saying nothing definite can always give you an escape clause" she said tesing Silver gently.

Silver gave a crooked smile at her joking theory. "I'll have to remember that," he said. His gaze was distracted by her hair, and he lost his train of thought, completely derailed by wondering what she smelled like, if he leaned just a little closer. She didn't have any idea how ethereally beautiful she was, did she? It took him a moment to pull back, to drag his eyes away back into the forest. As soon as he got his book alone again, he was going to have a field day writing about her.

Cassie grinned, "I'm not that great with words, I express myself with movement" she said. "It had been a favourite technique of one of my dance tutors, we weren't allowed to talk about how we were feeling, we expressed it through dance, as it was the only way to communicate, we quickly grew used to it." Cassie said, smiling at the memory of college. She loved the castle as a home, but she missed her friends, the atmosphere and the continual dancing of college.

"Wow, that's pretty interesting." It was interesting, but the words sounded rather stupid coming out of his mouth, at least to his own ears. Silver dragged his gaze away from Cassie again, then, recalling that she still held his notebook, he looked back at her. "So, uh...you liked it?" he asked, the closest segue he could get to asking for his book back.

Cassie smiled slightly, still a little caught up in her memories. As he asked her she snapped back to reality. "I did," she said, then realised that she still had his book and he probably wanted it back. "Sorry, here you go" she said apologetically as she offered his book to him.

"Oh, no it's okay...thank you," Silver managed, taking his book back gratefully. There wasn't much in it, and he hadn't really gone into depth with any of it, but he felt almost...naked without it too long. Not that he'd say as much. Dare knew, and torment him about it, so he could only imagine the reactions he'd get from other people. And he'd lost the thread of conversation in getting his book back. Silver looked down at his hands, trying unsuccessfully to think of something clever to say, something that would impress Cassie enough for her to want to see him again.

"Don't like being without it huh?" she asked him gently, smilng so he knew she wasn't teasing. "I used to be like that with my ballet shoes. I had to have them, or everyone would stop what they were doing and find hem" she confided in him, holding his gaze. "I loosened up a little, now I can dance barefoot" she added, mischief dancing in her eyes as she crossed her ankles over.

"Oh." Silver found himself watching the motion of Cassie's legs, but almost immediately brought his gaze up again, out into the forest. He cleared his throat. "I can't write without paper," he said, though his mind was already elsewhere. Did she know? Was she doing that on purpose? What was wrong with him, he normally didn't have this much of a problem. Of course, he reasoned, he normally wasn't deep in the woods with a pretty girl.

Cassie smiled at Silver slightly, "Sure you could, just not with quill and ink" Cassie said. She pulled out the little pen she always carried with her from the pocket of her dress. It had been a gift from one of her friends before she left. Even though it had no practical use for her, assignments being written qith quill and ink on parchment, Cassie was loath to leave it anywhere. She used it in her diaries and in letters to her friends. She could often be seen however with writing scrawled up her arm and all over her hands as she tried to remember things.
She leaned forward and took hold of Silver's hand, drawing his arm towards her. She turned his arm until she could see the smooth inside of his forearm and she began to write in her long, flowing writing. After a few moments she stopped and read over what she had written. She raised her eyes to Silver's wondering if he would like the fact that she had written 'Poetry is written everywhere, in the music of a forest, and the heartbeat of a girl and boy. In the spirit of the moment, poetry is written unseen."

Silver had tensed at first, but as Cassie wrote, he watched curiously, reading along. "Are you sure you're not a writer?" he asked, then almost immediately recalled that she'd said she did write, though she'd claimed she wasn't a poet. He looked down at the words, absorbing them, knowing what they meant to him, and wondering what they meant to her, but unable to ask.

Cassie laughed softly. "I guess I am after all. I didn't plan that by the way, it just, came." Cassie said softly, biting her lip. She was pleased he had liked it. It reminded her of dancing and of being with Julius, two things she both adored at the moment. "It's about dancing I think" she added, clarifying the meaning slightly.

"Is it?" Silver asked, looking down to read the words again. They definitely meant something different to him, he decided. He'd hoped, a hope he'd never share no matter who asked him, that it was about them, that maybe she'd had some of the thoughts he'd had since he first saw her.

Cassie nodded more sure of herself. "I dance to the music of the forest, in my opinion it's some of the best music on this earth, the whisper of the leaves and the sigs of the bushes as they rustle in the wind. Plus if your heartbeat matches someone elses, then." Cassie closed her eyes and smiled to herself. "Then life itself is a poem of love and passion." she said, thinking about Julius. She opened her eyes and looked at Silver, "Sorry I can get awfully romantic sometimes" she said with a giggle.

Silver managed a smile, but no more of a response than that. He was thinking of her words, writing them in his memory, since it would look strange opening his book to take notes. Still, he didn't want to forget this moment any time soon, didn't want to forget her words, her passion. It took him a moment to realize how intently he was looking at her, and it took effort to look away, clearing his throat as he did so.

Cassie tilted her head slightly, returning Silver's gaze. "Are you okay?" she asked as he looked away. She ran her hand through her hair as she waited for an answer, not knowing what he was going to say.
