The sun had begun its downward arc when Chase headed out to the edge of the forest. It was still late afternoon, not yet dusk, and it was no effort to scan the grounds as he walked, looking for Storm.
When he got to the tree line, Chase leaned back against a thick trunk to wait, letting himself think over his visit with her mother. He wondered, if she knew, which he didn't doubt that she did, why hadn't there been a reaction? He'd met people like her before, and didn't waste the effort trying to guess, but she had to have an ulterior motive.

Finally hell was over. She didn't want to stay a moment longer any where near the dungeons. With a scowl on her face she trudged to the Forest, clearly annoyed.
With the forest in view she felt her spirits life knowing who was waiting in there. She watched him, her eyes twinkling with mischief. She came up behind the tree he was leaning on, and leaned around it her lips at his ear.
"You missed me that much." she teased, coming up from behind him, her hands at her hips, a teasing glare on her face.
"Why'd you have to leave me with Satan." she said scowling in the castles direction, clearly she was still annoyed by the conversation that took place.

Chase's brows rose. "I didn't realize she was that bad." His lips curved into a wicked smirk, and his eyes gleamed. "I thought she was a very nice woman," he said, tone of polite pleasure completely at odds with the expression on his face.
Before Storm could truly get angry, his smile faded and he let the tease go. "I figured the best thing I could do was get out of there. I'm not sure I want to know what she was thinking about the whole time, but it wasn't how to boost my grades."
Chase caught Storm around the waist and pulled her lightly against him, so that her slight weight pinned him against the tree. "What'd she do to you?" he asked. Despite the fact that he knew she wasn't really mad at him, she was upset, and her mother was the obvious target.

The scowl melted into a teasing smile. She pursed her lips, as if she wasn't going to tell, how coudl she tell him what her mother was thinking.
"Potential suitors." was all she had to say, she looked at him, knowing full well he would catch on to what she meant. There was no way in hell that she would succumb to her mothers wishes, but that women was persistent it almost scared her sometimes.
"Who cares about what that wench thinks." not a word that she used often, but the only passionate feeling Lucretia had for her mother was absolute loathing.

Chase's brow arched, then the other followed, crimson sweeping into his eyes will full realization. He grimaced slightly, then looked away from Storm, back at the castle, willing away the discomfort that trickled across his shoulders and down his neck. Potential suitors. That was something that certainly hadn't crossed his mind.
He turned back to Storm, giving her an assessing look, though he could tell by the expression on her face that she wasn't any more eager than he was to jump the broom. "She wasn't seriously thinking about me, was she?" Aside from the obvious reasons for disqualification--his name constantly splashed across the Daily Prophet and his lack of academic direction--Chase didn't want to hear that Storm's mother was thinking along those lines, because it was a short leap to his own parents deciding it was time for him to settle.

She decided it would be best to just full out say the truth, her hands resting on his chest. She finally managed to pull her gaze from the castle after staring for a while at it.
"Most likely, but don't worry, I know how to avoid that stuff." she gave him a reassuring grin, she had avoided plenty of suitors before, and the only difference this time was the fact that she actually liked Chase, unlike the others.
"She'll probably just latch on to the next pureblood she sees, I can tell she was considering Emilian at one point." she grimaced in horror at the thought showing her great displeasure of the idea. The thought of being with Emilian scared her greatly. Her hands formed fists on his chest as she chewed down on her lower lip.
"That is not of importance at this point, I made a promise to you and I plan on keeping that promise." she said with a sly smirk. She stopped chewing on her lips, and only gently bit it, a few thoughts forming in her mind.

Chase couldn't at the moment recall what that promise was, but made a mental note to think it over later. He'd been busy lately, pleasantly distracted, more so than he could remember being in an unbelievably long time, and every once in a while, something slipped his mind. At the moment, he was more concerned with Storm's assurance that her mother would just latch onto the next pureblood she sees. Still, what were the chances that Storm's mother would really look into his background? Storm didn't seem to know, so maybe there was hope it wouldn't occur to her mother.
It was the teasing tilt of Storm's lips that brought him out of his thoughts, and simultaneously reminded him of her promise. He grinned, letting the rest go for now. "So, what did you have in mind?" he asked, more than ready to move on.

That was what she liked about Chase. He was willing not to get lost in things that ruined the moment. She pushed him roughly against the tree her eyes boring onto his.
"My mind doesn't seem to be working properly at the moment, mind helping me figure things out?" she asked him with a tease. That wasn't true at all, if it was one thing her mind was good at, it was conjuring up the wildest and oddest thing possible.
"You cant expect someone like me to be able to do much." before he could speak she pulled away, going deeper in the trees a small smirk on her lips.
"Or you could follow and see." she went deeper, beckoning to him with her eyes. She turned her back towards him giving him one more glance before taking of in a run. She was doing her best to keep herself light on her toes, making the least amount of sound possible.

Chase was after her in a heartbeat, lips spread into a grin that could only be described as predatory. She'd been off before he could argue against her alleged helplessness, a fleet-footed deer to his eagerly hunting wolf.
His boots crunched through fallen twigs and pebbled dirt, and he soon realized that he didn't stand a chance of following her by sound. The light began to fade the farther into the trees he got, and he slowed, the heavy sound of his breathing all he could hear. He let his eyes adjust and looked for the signs she couldn't hide; bent leaves, disturbed ground.
"Where are you, kitten?" he called, the nickname a purposeful tease. This 'kitten' you refer to is a Storm, she'd said. He could see the half-annoyed, half-amused look on her face, and his grin smoothed into a smirk.

She looked back, he had lost her she was smirking to herself. She walked behind a tree that was directly in front of him.
"I'm over here." she teased she went further down the forest and took a sharp turn making herself directly behind him, hidden behind the leaves. She was still on her toes, she wouldn't allow him to hear her and if he did hear something it could easily be confused as the noise of a small animal.
She came from behind him, jumping up on his back wrapping her arms around his neck. She raised a brow challenging him.
"So now what are you going to do, I could easily snap your neck." there was an obvious tease in her voice as she breathed the words into his ear. Her arms were still lightly wrapped around his neck but she tensed the muscles in her forearm as if showing him her point. The look in her eyes were clearly displaying that she was going to have her fun tonight and it was not going to be ruined by anyone else.

Chase had made a half-choked sound of surprise at Storm's attack and shifted, for all the good it did him to move with her holding on so tight. "You're more likely to strangle me," he replied, only half teasing. He arched the neck she was squeezing as much as he could to try looking at her over his shoulder.
"When you said I'd never forget, I thought I'd have to remember for more than a few last, dying moments," he said, a bit melodramatically. Chase purposefully swayed on his feet, then sank to his knees as though she truly were suffocating him. He grimaced as his left leg protested the sudden impact of the ground and silently cursed it for interrupting the game, even if only a little.

At the impact of the ground she loosened her hold on his neck, and swung herself to be facing him. Her knees were planted firmly on the ground her arms still on his neck.
“Maybe I should strangle you, for all I know you could be plotting revenge against me right now.” She dipped her head inclining it to his neck, her nose skimming the skin. She would pause to give him a small kiss before resuming her skimming.
“Or, I could tie you up… depending on how much of a struggle you’ll put on, I don’t fancy using my wand.” She leaned away from him, the glint in her eyes telling him that she wasn’t going to hold back on anything.

"I'm definitely plotting revenge," Chase said, eyes gleaming scarlet-edged. He didn't acknowledge her other suggestion. If she was crazy enough to try it, he'd sure as hell fight; he still didn't trust her, still hadn't gotten over her telling Emilian about them, though he didn't even think about it anymore. But the lack of trust lingered all the same.
With Storm facing him now, Chase, slid his hands around her waist and pulled her close again, bringing his lips to hers and silencing her with a kiss. This was what it was all leading to anyway. He kept part of his attention on Storm's arms, though, as well as the presence of his wand, just in case she'd been serious.

She grinned into the kiss, her finger roaming down his chest to the hem of his shirt. Her finger found there way under the cloth running up his abdomen to his chest. She pulled away slightly to get a better look at his face.
"Revenge, am I to be afraid?" she asked him her voice going a little higher as if she was afraid. Her lips moved from his lips and trailed light kisses up his jaw, before she immediately pulled away from him, getting on all fours.
"Sorry Chase, I can't make it that easy for you." she said with a wink, she moved back a little more, biting down on her lips one brow arched as if daring him to come get her.

"And why not?" Chase asked. His lips curved into a smirk, and he moved back into the game, letting his guard slip, though it never faded entirely, something that wasn't entirely Storm's fault. Chase had issues that went beyond her, but that she inadvertently brought into the light.
He went to hands and knees in echo of Storm, knowing he'd be far less mobile on his knees alone, and not willing to spoil the fun by standing. "Come here and take your punishment," he said, his smirk widening into a wolfish grin. He raised one hand and crooked his finger, gesturing for her to come to him.
