Vannah walked into the jewelry shop. If she had any idea whatsoever of who the owner was, there's no doubt she would have just made the less convenient trip to Diagon Alley.
Vannah walked through the door with a certain necklace in her hand. Or rather in a box in her hand. The necklace had come from, as far as she knew, Adrian. It was raining and as soon as Vannah walked into the store she brushed the beaded droplets of water off of her shoulders and lowered her hood, thankful her blonde curls were still intact. The necklace had broken when she threw the box against the wall, but she decided in order to sell it she would need it fixed. The bigger, outer, black heart had snapped in two.

When Emilian came out from a corner to see Savannah standing there a strange thing happened. His eyes didn't trail over her like they usually did, he didn't smirk or come out with a snide remark. He stared, wondering if she had read the interview, and then wondering why he even cared if she had. After a minute or two his feet decided to work again and he walked forward a few more steps, "Can I help you?" he asked, looking at her.

Vannah stood there staring. Well, it was more of a glare actually. The words from the Interview came back to her by a flood of anger. Lying in the Hospital Bed from that stupid fight with nothing to do but read the newspaper. Of course, that was a mistake, too. The moment she opened it her eyes fell on a certain Article with her name in it. "What are you doing here?" She snapped. She was pretty sure he had been gone for good. She was also pretty sure whoever gave him the go-ahead to open a jewelry shop was deranged.

Well, if she had read the interview, she must have skipped the part about him owning the jewelry store. "I live here," he said, "I own the shop." Emilian didn't really feel like a confrontation, he had had enough stress the last few days to last him a lifetime. "So, can I help you?" he asked again.

Vannah opened the box revealing a necklace with a white-gold box chain. It had an open heart that was also white-gold outlined in onyx with a small heart hanging from it. The smaller heart was a garnet. Sound familiar? The onyx was cracked and the catch in the chain was stuck in a half-open position. The bigger heart had a dent in it. "This needs to be fixed. If it can't be done here, I can find where it came from and take it there." Unfortunately, Vannah was not aware that the necklace came from the shop she was in.

Emilian raised his eyebrow when he saw the necklace and walked up to take it out of its box, "I sold this to a French girl about a month ago," he said, his eyebrows coming together. He looked at it a minute more before looking up at Savannah. "If I had known it was for you I'd have led her to something more....durable." For once there was no sexual tension on Emilian's part, the thought of messing with her mind not nearly as appealing as it once had been, even though they were an arm's length apart.

Vannah was silent in confusion. French? She didn’t know any French girls at Hogwarts…unless…Vannah shook her head. “No. That’s impossible.” She said. She had no reason to believe him. He bought it in Ireland while during the Quidditch Season. Well, that’s what the note said at least.

"Savannah, darling, I know my girls," Emilian said, arching an eyebrow at her and daring her to say otherwise. "And I sold this to a French one for 600 galleons." He turned and walked over behind a counter, laying the necklace on the glass gently. "It originally had a 12" chain, she wanted a shorter, flashier one, I told her that it was too much, and so she decided on the one it's on now." The brief rundown would give Savannah more information, pushing her to believe him. He stared at her for a minute before reaching into a drawer for a leather bag.

Vannah was caught in between the two people in the world, that she knew, who she trusted the least. She was shocked, and even slightly hurt. What was Brenna doing now? Vannah reconsidered selling the necklace. For now, at least. Why not play with the girl's mind? "Can you fix it?" She asked, her voice stronger than before.

Emilian flipped through the bag until he found what he needed, "Yeah, it's no problem. It won't take too long." He ran the small rod over the broken clasp and it snapped back into place. It took a minute for him to make sure it worked, his damaged hand fumbling slightly with the small piece. "What'd you do to this thing?"

Vannah grinned. "Threw it against the wall a few times." ...And maybe slammed the door on it. 'Accidentally' let it get too close to the fireplace...Vannah added on silently. She had planned on chucking it out the window before the realization of what high value it must have.

Emilian smirked, momentarily forgetting about the aggravation of his hand. "And what would be the reasoning for that?" He raised an amused eyebrow at her before changing out tools. The new one was a glass bottle with a small cork stopper, he popped it out and poured a few drops onto the crack in the broken Onyx heart, then corked it back up again. "I could get you another heart if you really want, but this will look the same," he said, then leaned his elbows on the glass countertop to wait for it to dry.

Vannah crossed your arms. "I don't believe that's any of your business." She said. Vannah looked at the healing necklace. "How much would the new heart be?" She asked interestedly. It was beginning to sound like a game...however sadistic it might turn out.

Emilian let out a sigh while he was thinking, "100, 150, something like that, and you'd have to wait a couple of days." He watched her, the couple of days wouldn't be any big deal, the liquid seal could do her that long if she insisted on a new one. "Come on, you can tell me, did she cheat on you?" he asked, his eyes sparkling with the tease.

Vannah dismissed his teasing with an eye roll. "I'll take the new one." She said. Sudeenly she had an idea. Vannah pulled out a crumpled piece of paper she found the other day. She still had it with her from years ago. "You can bill it to this account number at Gringotts." She said hanging him the joint family account for Adrian, Brenna, and the rest of their family.
