Emilian took the paper and looked at it before raising an eyebrow at her, wondering what she was up to. He lay the paper down beside the bag so he wouldn't lose it and nodded as he pulled out another rod almost identical to the first one he had brought out. "You can take this with you while I wait on a replacement," he said, touching the silver rod to the bent heart, "No one will know the difference unless it's another jeweler, you can come back in a couple of days and I'll change out the hearts."

Vannah tilted her head to the side. "Take it with me? I don't think so." She said shaking her head." She didn't want that thing anywhere near her for now. Who knows what kind of damage she could do to it in days when she'd only had it for hours so far? "I'll be back later." She said moving towards the door.

Emilian stared at her, "Any chance you're going to let me in on what you're planning?" he asked, putting up the rod and stashing the bag back in its drawer. He put the fixed necklace back in the box along with the slip of paper and snapped it shut, leaning on the counter and trying to figure out what she was going to do.

Oh, you know. I'm just getting back at the little French bitch for ruining the life I could have had. Vannah shook her head. "None at all." She said before leaving the shop. Once outside she let out a sigh of relief. Vannah moved on to the next shop she was heading into.

Sure, it would drive him insane until he was able to figure it out, but Emilian wasn't going to dwell on it. He sent the order out with the account number and stashed the necklace on a shelf behind the main counter, there was nothing he could do until he got the new heart.
