Eirene pulled out the right amount, and for his help she added an extra 500 galleons. She carefully placed it on the counter. Looking back at her daughter, she noticed that she was engrossed in some collection. She didn’t pay attention to what it was, but a small thought came to mind. “I’ll be waiting for you outside Lucretia, take whatever you want, but hurry, I don’t want to be late.” she wanted to get to castle as she was expecting an owl from home.

Lucretia grinned to herself, somehow her mother would leave her so she wouldn't have to worry about any objections from her. Standing up straight she turned towards her mother, obstructing her view from the collection behind her back.
"Do not worry mother, I think I already know what I want." she said turning her back towards her mother before clenching her teeth. She saw through her mother, she knew exactly why she would rather leave than stay in here.

Emilian smiled at Lucretia's mother and handed her the boxes, "Thank you," he said, his spirits rising just a fraction when he saw the extra money lying on the counter. He put the money in the register and shut the drawer while he listened to the exchange. His eyes sparkled slightly at Lucretia when he saw the expression on her face, but kept silent.

Eirene took the boxes and gave a small smile to Emilian, then turned towards Lucretia. She gave her one long look before leaving the store, she would wait very patiently outside, however something told her she was missing something, she would have to figure that out later.

Watching the door shut behind her mother she let out a frusterated groan. She glared towards the direction where her mother was before letting out an inaudible sigh.
"What an annoyance." she said turning back towards the chokers, still looking at the one that caught her eye.

Emilian grinned, momentarily forgetting the day before at Lucretia's reaction to her mother. "Which one were you looking at?" he asked, coming over to her. He looked at the collection, they all looked like something Lucretia would wear, he could visualize the one she had been looking at on her, even if he didn't know that it was the one she had had her eye on.

Lucretia kept her eye fixed on the one she liked and raised a pale finger to the glass, not touching it, but obviously pointing to the one that she liked.
"That one." she said, already imagining what her mother would say if she ever caught her wearing it, but it wasn't like she could do anything about it.

Emilian nodded and pulled it out for her, it would look very good on her. "It fits you," he said, handing it to her. He caught his face in a mirror between looking at the choker and her face, and scowled lightly at how he looked. Tired and stressed, his reflection scowled back in the split second before he could block the image out.

Lucretia looked at it delicately then eyed Emilian suspiciously. Something was wrong, he looked kind of off, and he still didn't say any perverted comment which she was expecting. With one brow raised she didn't even have to ask, it was all evident on her features.

Emilian read her face easily, "Do you really think you want to know?" he asked, then looked back down at the piece she was holding. "Do you want to put it on?" He wasn't sure that he'd out and tell her what had happened, even though there was no doubt that she'd press. He almost wanted to tell. It was almost as if if he told someone, then the press would leave, that the stress wouldn't be so bad because it would be spread out.

Lucretia looked at it and nodded her head, she looked around for a mirror, spotting a small one on the counter she took choker and clasped it on without help. It looked nice on her, the stark contrast against her pallid skin was odd, but still nice.
"Yes I do." she said firmly, she wouldn't let this one go, even if it meant keeping her mother outside, besides, she doubted her mother would stay, probably already halfway towards the castle.

Emilian's eyes narrowed crossly even as he examined how well the choker looked on her. "Yesterday this woman, Dahlia came in asking for an interview," he said, knowing that Lucretia would know that it wasn't nearly the whole story. He leaned forward on the counter, watching her.

Lucretia rolled her eyes, she knew that this wasn't going to be good, and wondered exactly what happened, though she could take a good guess.
"And you expect me to be satisfied with just that?" she asked, she was obviously curious, and she wasn't going to allow him to just side step this one, he was going to have to answer, even if it means forcing it out of him.

Emilian scowled at her and looked down at his hands. "We went upstairs and talked, we ended up having sex," he said, somewhat bitterly. He remembered how it had felt, how good she had been. And because he still remembered how good it was it felt even more like a betrayal. He wondered if Lucretia would be able to put two and two together to figure out why he was like he was, because he sure as hell wasn't going to tell her.

She looked away from him, a frown on her face, that she wasn't expecting. A little flirt, maybe a kiss, but sex she didn't expect that at all.
"Did you tell Adara?" she asked him, her lips pressed in a thin line, it sounded like one of those celebrity issues you hear on the radio, only this wasn't gossip, it was reality.
