"Oh." Vannah's face fell slightly with embarrassment before she trudged to home plate. She resumed that bat in the same position as before. "Ok, ready." She said with a slight nod.

Ryan smiled "You need to hold the bat a little differently, here let me show you" he said and stood behind her and reached his arms around her and put her hands the way they needed to go "There" he whispered.

Vannah smiled when he had his arms around her. She lowered the bat slightly and looked at him through the corner of her eye. "You're a good teacher." She said softly. "Especially with a rookie such as myself."

Ryan smiled and kissed her cheek before he went to the pitchers mound and summoned the ball back to him "Thanks, Ive been playing all my life so its not hard. Ok now im going to throw the ball and when it gets to you you have to try and hit it ok?"

Vannah held the bat similar to how Ryan showed her and nodded. "Ready." She said confidently.

Ryan smiled and underhand threw the ball to Vannah and watched to see if she would hit it.

Vannah shreiekd some and lowered her bat. She aslo jumped over the now rolling ball at the same time.

((haha it was rolling very fast if that helps...i know absolutely nothing about baseball lol))
"No!" Vannah said very *friendly* personching her bat. "Just try it again." She said anxiously as she came back up to the plate and positioned herself.

((i dun remember...but maybe i was just really tired haha))
Vannah saw the ball coming right at her and closed her eyes. She swung the bat bindly in hopes that it would hit the ball, but felt nothing. She still had her eyes closed.

Ryan watched as the ball passed Vannah and hit the ground behind her "Ok that was a nice first try. Do you want to try again of do you want me to show you?"

Vannah slowly opened her eyes one at a time. She didn't see the ball anywhere and turned around looking for it. "Where'd it go?" She asked before she spotted it underneath a bleacher. "Oh." Vannah walked over and picked it up. "One more time. I can do it." She said determinedly. She sloppily threw the ball back to Ryan.
