Lucretia sighed, not paying attention to what they were rambling about, she caught parts of it, hearing Gabby say that Emilian had deserve made her turn to Gabby, with a raised brow.
“Then I do to...” she said under her breath she paused and turned towards Chase for an instance forgetting about the other two girls.
“I hurt Dru too, so does that mean I might deserve it if you attack me right now?” she wasn’t sure why she asked, it just sort of came out. Lucretia turned her back on the other two, completely ignoring their existence.

Gabby just heard what Lucretia said. "You probably do for making me fall off a broom, giving me a new scar, breaking my wrist and nearly killing me" Gabby said mildly. She moved round so that Lucretia could see her. "But I'm not going to be the one to punish you. Too many curses have already been sent flying and I do not want to do any more damage than has already been caused." She look Lucretia in the eye, challenging her to reply.

Lucretia eyes followed Gabby’ one brow rose at the little challenge, if she expected Lucretia to back down Gabby defiantly didn’t know Lucretia well.
“Yes, but sometimes Gabby, you just don’t know when to shut your mouth.” she said rather harshly, remembering the little rants Gabby kept going on about.
“You’re lucky it was me, some would have ensured your death, and not allow you to go the Hospital wing.” she said, one thing Gabby still didn’t grasp was the reality of Dark Wizards.

"Probably, but you still did it" Gabby said coldly before biting her lip. She sighed, "I'm sorry Lu, I don't really mean it." Gabby rubbed her neck, trying to release the tension, she didn't even notice she ahd said Lu.

Lu? Chase looked between the girls, wondering if it was too much to hope that Storm's question to him would be forgotten. He didn't have an answer for her, and his lack of an answer would be statement enough. He knew one side of the story, and from all accounts, it painted Storm black. He had no reason to think otherwise.

The nickname sent Lucretia grimacing, she didn't like it, not one bit, but she knew Gabby would eventually stop. She looked at Chase, his silence confirming that he knew, she didn't say anything for a moment.
"Aren't you disgusted, appalled, why aren't you saying anything." she groaned, one reaction it's all she needed, she didn't care if he started to yell, or glared, or even curse her, but she wanted a reaction off him anything. Lucretia wanted the other two to just leave, disappear, she couldn't talk to him, not when they were there.

"What am I supposed to say, Storm?" Chase held out his arms in a gesture of supplication. "I've seen what you do. I've seen you pick on the weak, and yeah, I've heard things, and you can't deny any of them, can you?" Chase had forgotten the other girls for now. If they were still here, it was as witnesses, or maybe a link to reality. "I've seen a side of you that only came out when we were alone; what am I supposed to think? Which one is real? You're the reason everyone thinks I'm some cold-hearted bastard womanizer. I didn't forget myself for you, didn't go completely stupid to spend one night with you. No, I was just playing you both. You think what you want, and I'll do the same." Chase stopped, maybe to give her a chance to argue, but more likely because he'd heard every word that came out of his mouth and he was half in shock from the deeper meanings of everything he'd said.

Lucretia didn't flinch, she exhaled deeply, she couldn't deny it, and she wouldn't. The words did hurt, somewhere deep inside, but she wasn't going to let that take over her, not again, that would only make things worth.
"Lucretia." she corrected, she despised the name she created for herself, it marked the person she didn't want to be.
She knew that it was her, despite that crazy side of her, even if it were gone, the memories would still linger as a part of her. The shadow of her past.
"Fair enough." she said, her eyes hardening as she glared up at him, but the glare wasn't for him, it was for herself. Her hand reflexively rested where the wound would be, right on her abdomen.
"I'm just a little toy, I was played with, and thrown out..." she trailed of the glare softening, she bit down on her lip, flashes coming to her mind.
"And like the idiot I am I came crawling back only to be trashed again." she said, Lucretia turned her back to him, she could feel something, warm trailing down her cheeks. She remembered the feeling, it was inviting something she couldn't hold back any longer. She remembered when she asked him how it felt, now she knew, and accepted it.
"Goodbye." she mumbled her voice breaking a little, her brows furrowed unable to concentrate on the other figures. Lucretia's vision was blurred by the tears in her eyes.

Gabby took a step forward anxiously then stood still, shaking her head. "I only came here to get back in shape, I'm not getting involved with whatever's going on between you two." Gabby said before mounting her broom again and sooming off away from Lucretia and Chase, and she didn't look back.

"I'm out!" Eloise said flicking her hair behind her as she turned to make her way toward the castle, she too didn't want to get involved with their little lovers tiff. Eloise walked off her nose in the air like the spoiled rich girl she was.

Chase hardly saw the other girls leave. He was focused completely on Storm, Lucretia, whoever the hell she thought she was. "Just a little toy," he said, the words harsh, but as much for him as they were for her. "That's right, believe whatever the hell you want!" Chase barked. "Believe what's easy. Believe whatever lets you sit in your private world and hate yourself. But if you can believe that night in the forest was nothing, then it was nothing to you, or maybe you just want to hate yourself more than you want to just enjoy something, let it be what it is, what it was. There's nothing here, is there, Storm?"
She'd always been Storm to him, she always would be. He knew nothing about her name change, and her correction had hardly even registered. Just as all his sarcasm--I didn't forget myself for you, didn't go completely stupid to spend one night with you--hadn't registered for her. She didn't want to think she'd been anything but a one-night stand, and he was still too angry to enlighten her.

She spun around facing him, her lips pressed, lies she would tell herself, she could sense them all lies, it wasn't nothing, it couldn't be nothing. The feeling it was surreal, it wasn't like it was with Emilian, and not even close to how it was with Kai.
"Stop that." she said her voice hard despite the tears , was he trying to push her away make her keep her distance, she wanted to know why he was doing this what was his motivation.
"It wasn't nothing are you trying to convince yourself or me?" she asked him, it couldn't be this way, if he wanted to to leave him. She came closer to him, till she was just a foot apart from him, looking up in his eyes. Wanting to explain from her point of view.
"Just an inch, a fraction of a second and I could have just ended her, but I couldn't not when I knew it would hurt you, and it's not who I want to be." she said trying to get him to understand, that despite her feeling for Dru were none existent, she wouldn't have killed her, not her sane part, the other part was dead, and she wanted nothing to do with her.

Chase looked down at Storm, his eyes blazing though his body was stiff and tense. "Then who do you want to be?" he asked, the coolness of his voice at odds with the smoldering fire in his gaze. He wanted her to give it up, to show him she wasn't worth the effort. He wanted her to redeem herself and make it worth having wondered instead of just blowing her off. He was as sick of the unanswered questions as she was.
"You can't have it both ways, Storm. Did you want to kill her or not? Why in hell do you think I slept with you? Why in hell do you think it pissed me off so much that you told Emilian--Emilian, who you were also having sex with? And why in hell do you think Dru and I couldn't make it work? Make up your own damn mind, 'cause you aren't going to believe a word I say anyhow."
No, he'd lost that right months ago when he'd pushed her away at the lake. Why in hell should she believe him? He'd earned this misery just as much as she had.

What could she say, how could she answer, she bit down on her lip, for a moment she wanted to just cower away, but she couldn't she wouldn't allow it, she wouldn't chicken out. She sucked in a deep breath, holding herself up looking back at him with intense eyes.
"Because I'm stupid, because I'm human, because I like anyone else has made many mistakes, just like you." she said pausing trying to straighten out her thoughts.
"I don't know what you want to call it, insanity, multiple personalities, a faker, believe what you want, but I know who I am." she paused, how could she explain it. She wanted him to understand, but she couldn't explain.
"I don't want to be, I am what I am, a person with problems, a person who needs help. A person trying, trying to figure what it is that I keep doing wrong. Trying to have some sort of..." she didn't know what to say, how to explain it.
"I wanted to kill Dru, until I realized that it would be a stupid excuse for me to hate myself even more, to forget reality. Emilian was just once, and after that I swore to myself that it would happen never again, another pathetic reason to forget, myself and you. The reason you and Dru couldn't work out is your problem, I contributed a great deal, but even if I didn't do anything, your just using me, so that the excuse would be me." she snarled, why was she angry, was it at him, no, the whole situation was taking a toll on her, and she couldn't take it anymore.
"And I don't care anymore, hate me Chase, hate for as long as you like, because not matter how much you do, it will never, ever effect how much I care for you. If you feel like this is your way of feeling better, then at least I can help you somehow, even if I'm hurting myself for it." Lucretia was panting, her emotions going crazy. A turmoil of them taking over her, and she couldn't think, she started cursing under her breath, herself, her mother, who she was, what she did, everything, and it made her feel lighter in a way, almost exhilarating.

"Honest to God, Storm, stop hating yourself! You don't even hear yourself, do you? You're willing to give your soul for what, to make me feel better?" He threw out his arms, then speared his fingers through his hair, everything she'd said still fighting for recognition in his mind. "I'm the reason me and Dru split up. I never blamed you."
He turned to look at her, as though he could make her understand simply by willing it. "I was pissed, I was hurt because that night was just us for me, and then it was us, and Emilian, and Michael, and who the hell knows who else. But she didn't trust me anymore. It wasn't even about you for her. It was because I couldn't control myself, I wanted something I wasn't getting, I was the dumbass. But you; you were something I never expected, and I was so pissed because I couldn't trust you. If that makes me the world's biggest damned hypocrite, I don't even care."
His head was throbbing, the past months' stresses all building toward a migraine that he had no hope of stopping. He intended to stay and finish this out. He wouldn't leave her like this again, not until every wound had been cauterized.
