Vannah sat on the ledge of the archway in the Entrance Hall. She held her wand carelessly and watched as tiny pieces of paper folded itself in front of her. Ammused, she didn't pay much attention to whatever else was going on around her. She hadn't spoken to anyone in over three weeks and it was fine with her. Oh, except for the Common Room, but other than that.....no one. She wasn't sad, she wasn't happy, she wasn't mad, and she wasn't impressed. She didn't think about any one thing for very long and that was okay with her. It was just like old times: always on the run.

Ryan had been out by the lake and decided to go back inside. As he walked up to the door he saw Vannah sitting there. He tried to decide what was the best thing to do, remembering his talk with storm when she told him she just needed her space. Ryan continued walking and got closer to Vannah, still not sure what he was doing.

"Hey." Vannah said not removing her focus. She had heard footsteps and almost instantly knew who it was. An awkward kind of silence filled the space for what seemed like forever. She was unsure of what to say and guessed he was too, but still she waited for a response.

Vannah shrugged. "Better." She said simply. She waved her wand a little and watched as the two papers figures began to battle each other. "What about you?" She had kept her eyes on what she was doing the whole time. She was unsure what would happen if she looked at him. She had promised herself she would no longer cry. Not for anything that has happened lately. No more.

"Just ok?" Vannah flicked the little torn up pieces of paper away. "You don't have to cover anything up for me, you know? I can handle it." She said looking at him. She signaled for him to take a seat by her on the edge.

"Any of them good?" Vannah asked with a smile, trying to lighten the mood. She rested her wand beside but still easily accessible.

Ryan looked at her "Only one. Im in a relationship now, but its hard for me becuase i like her but i still miss you and i dont know what to think. Added to that is the fact that I am trying to keep someone else from getting hurt by Emilian and she is too sheltered and ignorant to understand he is not a good person, and he is charming her up so he can get some from her."

"Oh." Vannah said looking away. Of all things she wasn't expecting that so...soon. Maybe it was a bit hypocritical, but that was the way she saw things. "That's...er...great!" She said with an over-enthusiastic smile.

"No...it's good. Moving on...that's good." Vannah said nodding. "Good for you. So who's the lucky girl?" She asked wanting to move away from any conversation having to do with them.
