Ryan nodded "Yea, Dominic. He died a few days ago. He wanted her to move on and I happened to show up not to long after that." he said as he held in tears because of his thoughts still being on Vannah.

"I see." Vannah said nodding her head. "Unfortunate, I hope she's doing okay." She said vaguely. She looked out across the lawn for a while. Her stare was blank and her face expressionless.

Ryan shrugged "Nothing much, I know he probably wanted to curse me on the spot both times. I made a new friend about a week ago, her name is Adara. Emilian is now charming her up and she is too sheltered to understand what kind of person he is."

Vannah shrugged. She flicked a tiny piece of leftover paper at him. "You can't save them all." She said and almost silently added "Especially if they don't wnat to be saved."

Ryan sighed as a tear finally ran down his cheek at her last statement. He could have saved Vannah, it was his fault she ended up anywhere near Emilian.

Vannah reached over and wiped the tear off his face. "Hey! Don't do that...you might give Rhyannon the wrong idea." She scolded teasingly.

"No." Vannah said, suddenly sharply. "I did not invite you to sit here so you could throw a pity party for yourself. For that, I'll charge extra." She leaned back against the column.

"Well, don't." Vannah said. "I'd say things are pretty good for you, wouldn't you? You have Rhyannon, Hogwarts, and if you don't like the wizarding world there's always the muggle world. You have a reason to et gout everyday and something you love to do, no matter what. So don't you dare feel sorry for yourself." She said realizing maybe she should listen to her own advice.
