"No I wont, and I'm glad, after what happened to Storm in Ireland, I wont be seeing much for a long time." she let something personal slip and clapped her hands over her lips cursing herself.

Chase's eyes gleamed with interest. He knew Storm better than he'd let on. "You really ought to tell me," he coaxed, his voice lowering an octave. "It's the least you can do after teasing me the way you did." His lips curved into a playful smirk. She hadn't teased him, and he knew it...now, anyway, if not at the time.

Lafra dropped her hand she played with a strand of her hair, she debated whether she should lie, but she was a terrible liar. "My cousin is a great girl, well taught, really brilliant, but to trusting for her own good." she paused as she waited trying to end it as quick as possible. "She was really kind to, sweet caring, never cared about what people thought about her, well that is until we went to Ireland." she frowned at the memory. "I remember what I was told by Kai, he said he took pleasure in her pain, the way she tried to throw him off her, he... he took away her innocence, I still remember how dull her eyes were, nothing compared to the Storm I played with as a child." she sighed not looking up to meet his gaze.

Chase's eyes darkened, red-brown dimming to near black, then flashing with anger. That one horror explained so much about Storm; her facade of bitterness, the loneliness behind it, and the fear of intimacy, even while she reached eagerly toward it. He realized that his hurtful words had likely meant more to her than even he knew, and winced at the hatred she must have for him now. "Her secret is mine," he said softly. "I won't say anything." He bristled though. He wanted to hurt the person who had done that to her, and it showed in the set of his jaw, the tension of his shoulders, the dark gleam of his eyes.

Grateful she gave him a weak smile. "It still pains me knowing that she blames herself, you are her friend, please talk to her, she needs to know that she's not alone." her eyes shone as she looked up to him, she really felt like she needed to get Storm to wake up from her nightmare.

Why would she blame herself? It didn't make any sense. "I can't. She wouldn't talk to me." He'd burned that bridge as permanently as he could. Chase looked out over the water, trying to sort things out, but unable to. Life had gotten damned confusing lately.

Lafra's face fell she bit her lip, she could only do so much. She changed tactics immediately she may not be able to ask him, but she would challenged him. "Pathetic, i never thought Slytherins gave up so easily, no wonder she wont talk to you, she must be ashamed of knowing you." inside she was roaring with laughter, but in the outside her face was contorted in a fake grimace.

Chase straightened, his pride suitably bruised, for all he'd try to deny it. He glanced aside at Lafra, his eyes gleaming dull crimson, his lips set in a firm line. If Storm was ashamed of knowing him, it was nothing less than he deserved, but it was none of Lafra's business. He looked back at the water, distancing himself a bit. "I said some pretty stupid things," he admitted. "She'll cool down. I just have to leave her alone a while." That always seemed to work on girls. Let them forget he was an ass and just remember how charming he was.

Un-fazed by his reaction she shrugged looking away. "Procrastination only makes scars run deeper, but I don't blame you, she's quite a fiery person isn't she, though wounded quite easily." she kept her eyes on the lake, her grey eyes narrowed in the distance.

"She asked me what I wanted," Chase said, though Lafra hadn't asked. It was none of her business, but maybe he felt like he could atone for what he'd done if there was someone else to hate him for it. Twisted logic, he knew, but there it was, all the same. "I told her I wanted to get laid." The words were cool and emotionless, and he'd said them to hurt Storm. He'd probably succeeded, if you could call intentional wounding success. He gave a humorless chuckle. "Now I know why that ticked her off like it did."

She didn't say anything. She stood still unmoving, and turned her head towards Chase. One brow was raised, she wanted to tell him off, that he was in fact not healthy for her cousin but instead she sighed and looked away. "You don't know her at all, you probably don't even know her real name." she gave him a dark laugh. "It's your kind that throw women out of balance, swoon us with your petty flirting, but then completely throw us out when we get too close, what are you afraid of?" she asked him she turned towards him her eyes dangerously flashing bright grey almost silver. "Or are you afraid of yourself?" she took a step away form him, trying her best not to lose her temper. She shut her eyes breathing deeper as she calmed herself down.

Chase shrugged uncomfortably. Maybe she'd hit close to home with that last comment. Maybe. "I'm not afraid of anything. It's just...not worth it. No one really cares anyway, it's all about getting what you want. I tell girls what they want to hear, we both get what we want." Except Storm. He'd screwed Storm over, and he couldn't even reWizard why.
