Chase grinned wickedly. "I have a don't-ask don't-tell policy," he teased. "But if you really want to know, I'll show you." His eyes gleamed so that anyone who knew him would know just what he was up to, but it was half the fun just seeing how long people would play.

Lafra raised a questioning brow; she wasn’t sure at what he was getting at so pushed further. “I'm more than willing to find out, but I prefer verbal conflicts, it more fun to outwit others.” she could feel the corners of her mouth twitch with a amusement.

"But only if it's a challenge," Chase said, agreeing and adding to Lafra's statement. His gaze flicked almost unconsciously to the motion of her lips as he went on. "What use is it flattening someone who didn't know they were in competition? I prefer my opponent to see it coming and fight against it. It makes victory that much sweeter." Chase shifted his weight, stepping slightly closer to Lafra with the motion. "Speaking of which," he said, eyes gleaming, "Do you still want me to answer your question?"

Lafra didn't move she was unfazed her lips curling at the ends into a smile. "If you want to tell me, but I am quite curious." she said.

Either she had no clue, or she was more adventurous than he'd thought. Not that he should be surprised. She'd given him a withering set-down when he'd first approached her. Chase grinned wolfishly, a momentary warning of intent before he leaned close, his lips pressing warmly against hers. It seemed that he really was drawn to Ravenclaws.

Her heart stopped as the feel of his warm lips were pressed against her. Her eyes shot open and she pushed him off her she took a deep breath her eyes glaring at him. "What is wrong with you?" she was gritting her teeth her arms balled up at her sides.

Chase straightened, the flicker in his eyes burning low as he looked at Lafra. "What do you mean, what's wrong with me? We were flirting and I kissed you, you're supposed to kiss me back." Unless she was playing hard to get, but the obvious anger on her face told him that wasn't the case. "I'm sorry I offended you," he said, a bit more sarcastically than he'd meant.

"You were flirting I was being myself, when I say I like verbal conflicts I didn't mean it in a flirtatious manner, I'm sorry I'm not like the other girls who immediately falls for your charms, and I'm sorry I'm not shallow either, but your going to have to know me better than that to get a kiss off me." she was gritting her teeth her nails digging into her palms she didn't want any enemies at the moment so she immediately uncurled her fist and sighed. "I'm sorry I gave off the wrong persona, but please don't try that again." her voice was softer now.

Chase held up his hands in truce. "Sorry if I came on strong, but I was getting mixed signals." He wouldn't have tried it otherwise. He didn't enjoy the feeling of complete and utter rejection. Chase took an unconscious step backward. "I don't like being judged any more than you do." One kiss and she'd assumed the worst, despite the conversation they'd been having.

She nodded her head at him and noticed him taking a step back. "It's alright your forgiven, I'm not going to hex you." she said strangely she had a feeling she wasn't the first he tried this with, and was almost sure that if he did all must have been successful, her lips curled at the corners. "So I'm guessing you usually 'get what you want' am I right?" she asked him.

Chase shrugged lightly. "As long as I don't set my goals too high," he said honestly. "Which apparently I do, from time to time," he added, his lips curving into a self-deprecating smirk. "I'm guessing you can smell bs from a mile away, am I right?" He couldn't lie to save his life, so he didn't try, but there were games to work around that, and he had a feeling that Lafra knew every one of them. He had to respect that.

She let out a small laugh and nodded her head. "Yeah it's a trait i picked up early in my life, I don't have many good experiences with guys." she shook her head clearing all past thought from her mind and smiled.

"Too bad," Chase said. "Shoddy attempts to get a girl can spoil the fun for them the next time." Hopefully, Chase's subtly-spoken meaning was clear; he knew how to make sure a girl enjoyed herself. He hadn't meant any harm by trying to steal a kiss.

She shrugged her shoulders at his comment. “Men can sometimes feel we are inferior to them, that we will, fall for there charms.” She eyed him thoughtfully taking in his features carefully; she looked him over and laughed. “I’m not surprised though even if it was a ‘Shoddy’ attempt, I can see why girls fall face first below your feet.” She wouldn’t lie he was handsome and attractive, but she wasn’t one to fall for a persons look.

Chase shrugged. "Maybe they fall for the look, but that's not the fun of it." Chase stopped himself from saying more to look at Lafra appraisingly. She probably disliked him because of his look. Chase switched from his motives back to the result of them. "You haven't seen anything," he assured her. "And it looks like you won't." He didn't set himself up for rejection, and that was exactly what he'd be doing if he tried it on with Lafra again.
