"Oh, he was the laugh of the school, I was popular for the first time in my life, everyone had been waiting for him to be put in his place," Dru said, laughing. "I had practically given up on guys until my boyfriend Michael, then that went down the drain so," she shrugged, "Just whatever happens, happens." Thoughts of him sent a wave through her, but she tried her best to not show it.

"Yeah, I guess you're right on that count, though I always have a bad habit of overanalyzing everything and trying to plan everything out." She smiled, laughing at her OCD tendencies. "I've practically planned out full weddings after just learning a guy's name. Although that's probably due more to all the romance novels I read."

"Yes, romantics tend to do that." Dru smiled, she had imagined them, but never really planned them out. "I'm more of a dreamer, imagining what could happen if this happened, and if that happened how would it change, that kind of thing. But that's the writer in me."

[Annabelle Hennessy]

"I love reading, and I can write killer essays, but I've never been one to write fiction. I read it all the time, but I've never been good at coming up with stories that are original. What type of things do you write?" Annabelle asked, leaning her elbows on the table and propping her chin on her hands. All thought of studying had long been forgotten.

Dru laughed, "Things that make people want to put me in the psych ward." One of her personal favorites was one about a muggle torture serial killer, it had gotten rave reviews from her friends, including quite a few shivers at certain parts. She grinned at the memory.

[Annabelle Hennessy]

Annabelle laughed. "They can't be that bad. I mean look at the stuff Stephen King has come up with, and he's still not committed.” Anna hesitated a moment before asking, “I hope you don’t take this the wrong way, but when you write, is it usually about muggles or our world? It’s just because no matter how many books I check out from the library, I never read wizarding fiction. Whenever I want a good story, I automatically turn to muggle works.

"Muggle, definitely, muggle supernatural, I write that as well," she said, "I've gotten some funny looks from what I write and read." She grinned, thinking of the look Chase had got on his face when he had looked at the cover of Sinner.

[Annabelle Hennessy]

"Neither of my parents are magical, I thinks that's why I like muggle fiction so much. I had some wizarding stories from my grandparents, but not nearly as many." She didn't feel ashamed about her parentage around Dru, knowing she didn't have a thing against muggles.

"I wish my family history were so simple to understand," Dru said, grinning, "My great grand parents are magical, but my parents are muggles, I'll let you try to figure that one out." She had told the history to many people, some understanding instantly, some taking a few seconds to let it sink in.

[Annabelle Hennessy]

"So your grandparents, or is it grandparent, is a squib. My Mum's a squib, and it's straight muggles on my dad's side." She didn't know of anyone else off hand that had a squib in their direct bloodline, but wasn't shocked at the news since she'd been the daughter of a squib her whole life. "I don't see what the fuss always is, mum's the same as any other muggle parent."

"Yes, they're both squibs, glad I didn't have to explain it," she laughed. "My childhood was pretty interesting, I was always a part of the local wizarding community, home schooled as well, I got a good mix of magical and muggle upbringing." It had been a fun life, she didn't remember much heartache.

"I grew up in a Muggle community, so I usually just tell everyone that my parents are muggles. It's easier. I'm not ashamed of my mom, just everyone else thinks I should be." She shruged her shoulders. "My grandparents visited often enough and taught me all about our world, but it's not the same as living in it. You can only get so much from a book and second hand knowledge." Anna rolled around the words that she'd just spoken. They'd always been true for her when it came to the wiarding world verses muggles. She wonder why she'd never had a problem with only reading about everything else.

"Yeah, that's why I want to travel once I get out of here." Dru zoned out for a second, images of Egypt and China running through her head. She glanced at her watch, "Oh, crap, I've got to go, I should be in the Bloody Mary already. I'll talk to you later?" she asked, starting to pack up the books she wanted to take with her.

"Alright, I'll see you around." Annabelle unstacked her own books and pulled her notepad from her bag. "Try not to work too hard." She smiled up at Dru as she set up her ink and quill, ready to get lost in her books.

Dru grinned, "I'll try, and same to you," she said as she stood, walking quickly out of the library, her bag bouncing against her hip.
