Finally, the last class of the day was over. He'd sat through every one today, like a good little drone, and now he wanted to do something. He hadn't seen Dru in a while, not since he'd agreed to go out with her. Maybe he'd been testing himself. Maybe he'd kept away because he was sure she'd be able to tell just by looking at him how very close he'd come to scrapping their agreement. Either way, he thought maybe he'd head to the club tonight. Maybe.

Dru was practically running down the corridors, trying to get to the library before she had to be back at the club. Her sling bag bumped against her leg as she turned a corner, nearly running into someone, but stopping just short of the encounter. "Chase!" she said, looking up and smiling as she regained her balance.

Chase's lips curved reflexively into a wolfish smile. All thought of any other girls disappeared from his mind at the sight of the one he'd been holding out for. "Dru," he said smoothly. "You're looking good." The gleam in his eyes assured her that he spoke the truth.

"Thank you," Dru said with a large smile. "As are you." She looked him over, taking him in. "Have you been hiding from me?" she asked, laughing softly, she hadn't seen him since he had agreed to be with only her. Not much had happened since, other than finding out that Michael was with someone else, and she had been wanting to see him.

Chase remembered why he'd liked Dru so much. Not only wasn't she intimidated, but she played the game, and she played it well. "I haven't been hiding," he said truthfully. Avoiding was entirely different from hiding. "Have you been hiding?" he asked, his eyes gleaming. He'd been denying himself female company for a week or so now, and it was catching up with him. He shifted closer to Dru, erasing the space between them.

"Now why on earth would I be hiding from you?" Dru asked, grinning as he moved closer to her. "If anything I've been wondering where you've went off to." She stared up into his eyes, ignoring the way the heat emanating from him made her feel as best she could.

Chase's eyes darkened slightly. "Wonder no more," he said, carefully sidestepping any solid response. He glanced over her shoulder down the corridor, then decided he didn't care if anyone saw. He slipped his arms around Dru and pulled her into a lengthy kiss.

The kiss surprised Dru slightly, there had been no prelude, and she prayed it meant he had kept his word as she returned the kiss, laying her hands on his arms. She realized how much she had actually missed him, missed his touch, as she did, and brought a hand up behind his head. She pulled back a little, enough to look into his eyes and smile. "So," she said, unable to stop herself, "Have you kept your word?" She had the feeling that he had, but she needed to hear it.

Chase made an overblown face of annoyance. "Yes," he said, the growl in his voice more humor than anything. He pulled her body flush against his, starved for female contact. He hadn't realized how much time he spent with girls until he gave them up. Chase brought his lips to Dru's again, fully intending to make up for lost time.

Dru laughed at the look on his face and brought both arms up around his neck, returning the kiss enthusiastically. She had almost forgotten how good it felt to be wrapped in his arms and she relished in the feeling, wrapping his hair around her fingers.

Eventually, Chase knew he'd have to stop himself. They were in a public corridor, after all, and one that happened to have plenty of traffic. He took things as far as he dared, though. He decided he needed to start making regular visits to the club. When Chase pulled back, his eyes were gleaming intense scarlet, hiding nothing of what he felt, or what he wanted. It had been so long that he didn't quite trust himself. "You'll be at the club tonight?" he asked.

"Yeah," Dru said breathlessly, catching her balance by leaning against him. "That's where I was headed, well, library first then the club." A smile grew on her lips, "I'm assuming you'll be coming?" she asked, though it was more of a statement, he was going to be there, if she had to drag him. She grinned at the idea.

"I might stop by," Chase said, though the spark in his eyes gave him away. He intended far more than a short visit. "What do you need from the library?" He'd already been seen in there once. He figured he'd have more time with Dru if he just went with her, maybe hurried her along a little, instead of waiting at the club.

"I'm doing some independent study, with the club I've just decided to study on my own, though I sit in on a few classes." She hoped she could do well enough independently so that she could pass her exams and go on to seventh year when the time came. "I need a book on how charms have changed over the years." She pulled her arms down, resting one on her bag and stepping back a little bit when she heard a group of people come around the corner. A couple of girls shot her looks and then turned back to each other, rolling their eyes. Dru resisted the urge to hex them.

Chase flicked a glance toward the girls, but no more. He'd learned self-control, or at least bits of it, years ago. "So you'll be there a while," Chase guessed. Suddenly, the library didn't sound quite as interesting, though Chase wondered if he couldn't fix that problem. His eyes flared briefly with the thought.
