Eiliyah laughed mean no she had enough of that. "No I rather like nice professor Evan's I already had a brief run-in with a jerk yesterday. And even though I can't remember much of last night I do think the photographer I met last night probably hates me." she shrugged smiling up at Keith. She may have hated Herbology as a subject, but if he was teaching it she wouldn't hate the class.

Keith didn't immediately connect the dots as Eiliyah spoke, and even when his mind tried to make the connection he didn't know if it actually meant anything. There could have been any number of pairs of photographers and drunk girls the previous night. "This photographer wouldn't happen to have long black hair and dress kind of goth, would he?" he asked.

Eiliyah stopped to think she had to close her eyes to really visualize how he looked he definitely seemed to fit the description and from what she could recall he was rather pleasant, but for some strange reason she had a feeling it didn't end to well she just wished she could remember why. "Yeah sounds about right. I mean I think he was chill and all, but knowing me I probably said something stupid." No, she definitely said or did something stupid because she had a nagging feeling it ended poorly, if only she could remember.

"Well, that would be Lyric, my partner," Keith said. "He said he took pictures of a girl and danced with her, but I didn't know it was a student." At least she was older than most of the students and nothing bad had actually happened. He wasn't sure if he had ever heard chill used to describe Lyric. "If he does hate you, don't take it personally, he tends toward privacy."

Eiliyah thought about it for a moment she did vaguely remember him mentioning he had a boyfriend, but what were the chances he'd be her professor. She started realizing how small the wizarding community was on this side of the world. "I don't think he knew I was a student, he seems about my age." give or take a year. Eiliyah wondered if he did hate her it made her flinch hearing the word; there seemed to be a lot of hate going around. "It's weird the more conscious and anxious you are about being disliked the more you are hated." then again she couldn't really remember. "Forgive me, I didn't mean anything by it dancing where I'm from is just self-expression. I'd be lying if I said I remember any of it, but I hope you can send a message that I'm sorry?" she could always figure out where Lyric was, but it would be rude to show up on his doorstep unannounced. As she went on with her potting she made well with avoiding eye contact ashamed of her actions.

Keith laughed a little, the sound soft and forgiving, though there was nothing to really forgive. "He can dance with other people, that doesn't bother me, don't worry," he assured her. "I dance with other people all the time." Well, maybe not all the time, but it happened when the group was out. If anything, he was glad Lyric was able to dance with people other than him now.

There was a definite feeling of relief. It was one thing to have people hate you, she could live with that, bit it was a completely different thing to be a homewrecker. Even if what she did wasn't horrid she still felt the need to apologize. "Some people don't like it and I'd rather not piss off someone's significant other." there were instances when she unintentionally did it back home and once that happened she immediately kept her distance. "You must really trust him. Other's get pissed off if you even glance at the object of their affection." and did she know it.

Keith's expression turned far away, thinking back into Hogsmeade to the little life he'd fallen into somehow, despite his intentions. He paid for his distraction with the hard grip of a vine around his wrist, which quickly dragged him back to reality. "Well, we're not exactly a typical couple," he said, prying at the vine, which seemed to panic the closer it got to its pot.
He stepped back from the table in hopes it would calm the plant. "If you're going to get angry every time they look at someone else, there's no point being in the relationship, anyway, it's not worth it." He'd had enough of jealousy and overprotection from Skylar and Matthew.

Eiliyah was glad he got it she found it odd when people felt so protective over innocent gestures. Jealousy was not and emotion she could easily understand, but she could see why people felt the way they felt. "It comes back to confidence doesn't it? Confidence in your relationship with that person I mean. Jealousy is just self-consciousness manifested." she could be wrong of course, but it always seemed to make sense that way. "You two seem perfect for each other." she barely knew them but despite it all she had a feeling Keith and Lyric had something solid.

Maybe perfect for each other wasn't entirely accurate, but the thought gave Keith a thrill, anyway, even if the girl had only known Lyric for a very short time. "Well, thankfully people often grow out of jealousy. My best friend used to be very jealous, but his husband's finally about got it all beat out of him," he said, then thought back on his words and quickly amended the statement. "Figuratively."

Eiliyah giggled slightly she couldn't imagine someone physically beating them out of jealousy, but then again some people were pretty messed up in the world. "The only time jealousy is acceptable is when you're jealous of something like..." she paused and looked down at the plant she was potting. "Like this," she swatted at the plant and moved it away with the others. "I mean look at them they have no idea what going on around them, I bet they're pretty happy with life... even if we're swatting them away."

"They only get happier," Keith said, nudging away the father of the cuttings in its newest attempt at sneaking its way to human warmth. He silently mused on jealousy and maturity for some moments as he quietly worked on a plant before speaking again. "Why did you decide to come back to school instead of doing it on your own?" he asked.

Eiliyah wondered that herself, she could have easily learned what she needed from them to pursue her passions, but they knew how politics worked and school was important. "No one wants to follow a leader whose only credential is 'I taught myself'. My parents were very keen on completing my formal education. I guess they blame themselves that it's taken this long and I'll oblige their wishes."

Keith nodded, it made sense. "At least it's just the one year. It'll be a hard year, N.E.W.T.s can be torture, but I'm sure you'll make it through. As long as you don't spend all of your time out drinking," he shot her a look, then set to rearranging the pots they'd filled to ensure there would be enough room for the last few cuts. Things went so much more quickly when there were two of them.

"Headmaster Firebrand has made sure to drill that one into my head." she wasn't going to stop partying or drinking she'd just be smart and better paced about it. Maybe she could get permission from the school to stay home over the weekends with her parents. It was worth a shot to ask. "Besides, you've given me something to focus on. Never considered teaching, but it might be something to strive for." if she became a professor it didn't mean she had to stop pursing politics; she could just influence younger generations.
